APP sucks and customer service doesn't exist

Completely useless and no support provided that was helpful. I paid $20.00 and got NOTHING for it. Taka wrote back explaining three times why they will not refund me. I attempted to use the APP for three minutes and could not get it to work for me. Use Google Conversations Translate instead- this app sucks and just wants to take your money.

update - 03-19-26 The only solution to this issue Taka is to refund the 20.00 because you service does not work for me. Your passive responses that reiterate your policy shows your lack of willingness to want to cooperate with your clients.

I’d like to clarify that I responded to your email once. In that message, I explained that we operate on a freemium model, providing free access before payment, and as such, refunds are generally not issued after the product has been used unless there is a product issue.

I was hoping to hear back from you so we could better understand the issue and resolve it together, but I did not receive a reply.

You cannot cancel the subscription!!

The system didn’t allow me to cancel the subscription and showed the message: “Failed to downgrade user to Freemium plan.” As a result, it’s impossible to cancel the subscription at all. This is the worst thing that can happen in an application and completely negates any benefits the features might offer. Awful.

At the time you attempted to cancel, there was an outstanding failed payment due to insufficient funds on the card. For this reason, the system did not allow the subscription to be downgraded until the payment issue was resolved. This is standard practice to prevent accounts with unpaid usage from being left in an inconsistent state.

To be transparent:
- The service was active and used during the billing period
- The initial payment failed due to insufficient funds
- The cancellation was therefore blocked temporarily

Your subscription is now confirmed to be scheduled for cancellation on January 24. No further charges will be made after that date.

Primero es poco claro al momento de…

De acuerdo a mi experiencia es poco claro al momento de inscribirte en el plan pro. Yo pense eran 10 dolares mensuales, pero luego me cobraron un año completo. Yo vi solo 1 paso luego de presionar el plan que queria adquirir.
Lo adquiri porque la prueba son 20 min (insuficiente si quieres probar en una reunión real), lo probe con un video en youtube, y funciono bien. Por eso decidi comprarlo en lo que yo pensaba 1 mes para que me sirviera de prueba para una reunión zoom (de al menos 1 hora.)
Después, usando la aplicacion con un plan pro descargada en mi escritorio en una reunion zoom, fue pesima la traduccion, no entendi nada de la reunión (y estaba bien configurada en cuando a idiomas a traducir, el audio de la reunión yo lo escuchaba bien). Era una reunión de academicos, en donde las personas hablaban 1 a la vez, y de forma clara, y no habian expresiones emocionales. Era una reunión profesional.
En resumen me siento defraudada.
Si debo decir que respondieron mis mensajes y quedaron de darme una solución para no tener que pagar 1 año por un servicio que no me sirve.
Quizas funcione bien en otras aplicaciones como google met, pero por zoom no funciono (y es lo que yo necesito)

Lamento escuchar que tuviste esta experiencia. Soy el fundador y CEO de JotMe y estoy respondiendo personalmente a esta reseña. Nos decepciona profundamente saber que algún usuario haya pasado por algo así, porque no fue para esto que creamos este producto. Quiero aclarar algunos puntos.

Primero, te pusiste en contacto con nuestro soporte hace solo unas horas. En ese momento, nuestro equipo estaba durmiendo debido a la diferencia horaria. Somos un equipo pequeño con un número limitado de agentes, y aún no ofrecemos soporte 24/7.

Segundo, contamos con un flujo de confirmación en cuatro pasos para los planes anuales con el fin de asegurarnos de que los usuarios entiendan que es un compromiso anual y más económico comparado con el pago mensual o único. Al entrar a la página, se muestra claramente que el plan seleccionado es anual. También aparece un mensaje de advertencia para recordar elegir la opción adecuada antes de pagar. En la tarjeta de precios se indica que se factura anualmente e incluye el monto total cobrado en ese momento. Y antes de finalizar el pago, el usuario vuelve a ver el total final antes de confirmarlo.

Sobre la calidad de la traducción: nuestro sistema de IA genera una puntuación después de cada traducción, y según el reporte, la traducción se procesó correctamente. Sin embargo, la estructura de la reunión era inconsistente. El discurso en inglés tenía frases incompletas, ideas repetidas, interlocutores superpuestos y expresiones emocionales. Incluso escuchándolo directamente en el idioma original habría sido difícil seguirlo. Precisamente por eso creamos la función de resumen en tiempo real: para organizar la información y que sea mucho más clara y fácil de entender. Me encantaría que la probaras.

Otro factor puede ser que estabas utilizando la traducción continua incremental. Para español, generalmente no es necesario un tiempo de exposición tan largo para obtener contexto preciso. Por eso ofrecemos un control deslizante en configuración para ajustar la velocidad entre “rapidez” y “contexto”.

Y por encima de todo, esta es la razón por la que ofrecemos un modelo freemium: para que los usuarios puedan probar el producto antes de comprometerse con un plan de pago.

Nuevamente, siento mucho que tu experiencia no haya sido la adecuada. Si lo deseas, puedo ayudarte personalmente con la configuración y el uso para que no vuelvas a encontrarte con estos inconvenientes. Tengo tu correo y también te contactaré por allí.

A comprehensive live translation app

Last month, one of my friends recommended JotMe as a live translation tool for my international calls, and so far, it has exceeded my expectations. The setup is simple, translations are accurate, and I love how translations are lag-free. It has also saved me from the hassle of taking notes during meetings while interacting with the participants. I get the gist as soon as the meeting ends. Besides, its AI real-time summary and AI ask features are a bonus. Highly recommended for individuals and businesses working with multilingual clients!

Makes global communication so much easier

I came across JotMe while looking for a reliable AI translator for my business calls, and it exceeded my expectations. It doesn’t just translate but also understands context. The real-time translation during meetings feels smooth, and the automatic meeting notes are a huge bonus. I’ve used it for English–Spanish and English–French calls, and both were handled perfectly. It’s made cross-language meetings way less stressful. Highly recommend for anyone working in international teams or client calls.

The tool does a poor job generating…

The tool does a poor job generating meeting notes — the results are messy and inaccurate. When I asked to delete my account, they said it could take up to a month, and when I asked if it could be done faster, they told me it’s a paid service. Absolutely ridiculous.

In many cases, poor meeting note quality comes from low-quality audio, and our AI is still limited when transcribing unclear recordings.

It also looks like you were using our Chrome extension. The extension doesn’t support all advanced features, which is why we recommend using JotMe Max (Desktop App) for the best experience.

Regarding account deletion — last month, we didn’t yet have an automated system, so manual deletion took about a month to process, and we sometimes charged a small manual work fee for immediate removal since one of us needed to remove the data from the back up database as well.
