As a first-time buyer, I had little idea what to expect and had heard plenty of horror stories about the conveyancing process. However, the team at JP Goldman have been nothing short of amazing - I’ve barely had to lift a finger and was happy to just leave them to get on with it.

On the rare occasions I needed an update, they replied straight away, and were always very reassuring.

They weren’t the cheapest quote I received, but as with most things, you get what you pay for. They also weren’t the most expensive, and when I would mention what I’d paid to friends and family, most had spent more and had a worse experience!

Huge thanks to the whole team, I couldn’t recommend them enough and will definitely be coming back when and if I need to move again.

We used JP Goldman for our house sale and onward purchase after a personal referral and good reviews online, but our experience was disappointing. Communication was poor from the start. After the initial paperwork there was no contact for 10 days, and I later learned no work had begun as payment hadn’t been requested correctly. Even once funds were paid, progress was slow and emails often went unanswered.

The online app never updated beyond “file opened 10th February” and showed limited information. Our buyer eventually withdrew after weeks of delays, and our conveyancer then left the firm with no notice or handover.

A new case handler, Anna, was more responsive and helped us complete after seven months in total. Mia Howard, the legal assistant, was also helpful and professional throughout.

Overall, communication was inconsistent and frustrating. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend JP Goldman for conveyancing

I would like to start by saying that staff at JP Goldman were, on the whole, very friendly, helpful, and responsive and that, ultimately, we were able to complete the purchase and move into our first house.

I think we just got fairly unlucky with our solicitor who, while personable on the phone, was not what I would call responsive.

When we transferred our life savings to pay the deposit etc. there was no confirmation from our solicitor, which was pretty scary for a couple of first-time-buyers. He was seemingly reluctant to respond to queries we had about the sale, and took quite a lot of prompting to get back to us. The emails we got from him seemed to have been copy-pasted in many cases, and often were poorly constructed/punctuated.

Our chain nearly collapsed at one point because our solicitor seemed to have forgotten the price we had negotiated for the house. Our estate agent even had to chase him on the date of completion, as he had still not transferred the funds.

As first-time-buyers, we were often in the dark about what to expect from the process, so we had to rely on our solicitor to help us understand what was required of us and of him. Unfortunately, this seemed to be more than we could expect from our solicitor.

Alison and Christian were professional and helpful from start to finish

We had a number of queries throughout the process of remortgaging but each time we asked we were given helpful information which was relayed in a way that both myself and wife could understand resulting in a very smooth process

Importantly as well is the fact that we never felt like it was too much trouble for either of them to answer any of our questions

In summary both are a credit to the company and we will certainly recommend them to friends and family

Jake Fielden and Gabriele Bruzaite provided excellent service for my property purchase. Their online platform allowed me to submit all documents and checks efficiently, and Gabriele responded to my queries promptly. The transaction went smoothly and within the required timeframe. Highly recommended.

Jake and Gabby did an excellent job, the purchase process was completed very quickly and we were able to get to completion date without any issues. I would definitely recommend using JP Goldman's services.

Jake fielden and team were generally good with communication, responding to emails promptly. Price we were quoted was what we paid and much cheaper than other quotes we had so good price for the work. Gabby was great to finalise the financial side and was great at replying. However, not given 5 stars as we did have to ask for things to be explained at times and as FTB we didn’t know things and we were never given info to set up account on the app for updates.

2nd time using Ali and Christian for a remortgage. Superb service. Great communication. Nothing was too much trouble. 100% recommend to anyone remortgaging
