Worst service ever. I am not one to really rate business because I do not have the time. So to do this is really big. If I could give them a negative I would give a negative 100. This is so bad that I have decided to report them to all governing bodies. BBB, Consumer fraud, etc. I called for services on Oct 10, 2024. And they sent a locksmith out and he cut the key incorrectly you can clearly see that the keys do not match. They do not want to refund my money or send someone who knows how to cut keys to recut the key. They guy who serviced me number is 630.331.3637 Itay...so if you get him call another service. He said he was coming to recut and never showed up. Now he is off and says talk to the company. I have called and spoken to over 30 people to get a refund. They either say they cant hear you or they hang up, or they transfer you to a dispatcher, how can he assist 🤔 with a refund. If any one else has experinced bad service...please report them asap.

The tech that came out was timely and professional, and was able to unlock my car for me in less than 30 seconds! It was a simple job, keys locked inside of car. It was around lunchtime and I only had to wait about 30 minutes for him to show up. He was great. BUT THE SERVICE COST $250. TO USE A PLASTIC ARM TO PULL THE LOCK OPEN IN A LOCKED CAR. HE DIDN’T NEED TO CREATE A REPLACEMENT KEY, HE JUST UNLOCKED THE DOOR. FOR $250.

Honestly wish I could give negative stars.
They had me playing phone tag with them for two hours, finally set up an appointment only for them to tell me that they don’t have any technicians at all. Not that there were no technicians for the appointment they set up with me, just none at all.

None, of the keys I had cut at their kiosk worked. Not One, of three 🤷‍♂️

The gentleman that helped us was very professional and respectful. I definitely would recommend his services.

Locksmith gave price per lock over the phone. Once work was completed he charges the agreed upon price per lock plus a $750 service call on top of the per lock price. He never told me about a service. Contacted KeyMe and they said I need to call the locksmith they sent out because he is a service partner. They subcontractor this out and will not help! Fraud

Review: Beware of Scams – Avoid This Company!

I had a troubling experience with this locksmith service that I feel compelled to share to warn others. My son was in a bind and needed help unlocking his car. When the technician arrived, he quoted a price of $150 plus a small service fee. However, once the job was done, the price ballooned to an outrageous $600! When my son expressed his shock, the technician quickly lowered it to $400, which left him feeling cornered and unsure of what to do.

Feeling frustrated, I reached out to the company to discuss the situation. Despite my polite demeanor, I was met with unprofessionalism and even hung up on multiple times. Eventually, after persistent inquiries, they offered to refund $200 via Zelle. However, that refund has never materialized. I've never encountered a legitimate company that issues refunds via Zelle which only adds to the feeling that something is off here.

Overall, my experience was nothing short of a scam. I urge anyone in need of locksmith services to look elsewhere. This company is shady, and their pricing practices are deceptive. Save yourself the headache and call a reputable locksmith instead!

Location Knoxville, Tennessee. On Wednesday, I am a caregiver, and my client's two file cabinets were locked and there wasn't a key. I found this locksmith business online and called them to come out and open these file cabinets which she needs access to. A young man that was dispatched came to the house and went to the file cabinets and got them unlocked in less than 3 minutes. He didn't come in immediately because he was too busy checking in on his puppy he had with him in the van. Typical of Generation Z behavior showing his impatience and lack of professionalism. He didn't quote us prices until after the job was done. He charged over $200 for a very basic job. My client was FURIOUS! She doesn't use credit cards and deals only in cash which on a fixed income didn't have the whole amount to pay. He acted impatiently saying he had another job to do. I paid the difference. The price was way TOO HIGH for the job and he only opened them and did not fix the problem of them relocking themselves. When she closed them yesterday they wouldn't open after he had done the job and had left them open. She closed them after that and they won't open back up. So, advice STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE UNETHICAL! He could have taken a lesser price and refused to do so. BEWARE!!!! RIP OFF!!!!!

I want to start this from the beginning of what happened over the course of 5 days.

We needed a puck master lock removed from our HVAC system. My boyfriend was trying to get the lock off for a bit but figured it would only cost around $50-$100 to get it removed by a lock smith. He called KeyMe located in Cincinnati. They NEVER said how much it was going to cost. Keep that in mind. The locksmith came here at 7:24pm and left at 8:03. It only took him around 30 mins to drill into the lock and remove it. We never got it replaced by him. That was the only service we received. HE CHARGED MY BOYFRIEND $400!!! I find that so outrageous.

The following day I go out to my car and there is a huge red scratch along the side of my car. Come to find out the locksmiths mini van was RED.

I called the KeyMe customer service to find out if maybe his car had any damage because I think its a reasonable request. They could easily check his car. They said that they can’t do that. Not sure why. Since then I have called over 20 times. I have been hung up on every single time. I have asked for the manager every time and they transfer me to someone who is NOT a manager. At this point im pissed and just want my boyfriend to get his $400 back. I filed a police report about my car since the KeyMe locksmith won’t check his car and tell me. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. I now just want to sue! I have never in my life received this bad of customer service. Ive been ignored over and over. They said they would call me back countless times and they never do.

They proceeded to call us and gaslight us saying they have no middle eastern people who work for them and the locksmith was driving a white van. We have him on camera in his RED mini van. Its absolutely insane! They also insinuated I was racist for saying he was middle eastern or indian. They asked me what he looked like!!!! I responded and said he has brown skin and dark hair. How else do you describe how someone looks? Probably best to state what their ethnicity is? Not a racist thing to say. I hate this company so much. We just want a refund. At this point I just want the refund because I hate them so much.

The work was fine, I’ll start there. My cost, over the duration of the work, increased more than $400 from what the original quote of $200. In a pinch, I didn’t feel like I had any other course of action. There was the lock, the install of the new lock, the cost of “opening the lock kit and only having to use one key”, and then the 10% surcharge for using a credit card, which was not shared until I had my card in my hand.

Never again.

Had to make up spare keys...I gave Keyme at try...and wasn't disappointed..the machine cut the keys perfectly! No problem with the key,worked like a charm...you have a choice on the type of key you want.. I went with the brass...it also makes car keys too!! And if you need three keys cut, they have a special.. cut 2 keys, and the 3rd one is free!!

Very good customer service - I had an issue with mail delivery and Jennie was excellent to work with.

This is a clearing house. They are NOT locksmiths. They farm out the work to any fly-by-night outfit they can find. They left my house unsecured for 36 hours because the guy who came out had no clue what he was doing, leaving me with a nonworking key hub not in the door. "His boss" told me he would be at my house at 9 a.m. the next day. No Call, no show. I called Keyme, and they told me they would get someone else. The same company called me back and, again, did not show up.

Extremely unhelpful. They couldn’t send me to a different location in the area after looking online multiple times. The girl was rude and condescending. To leading her hanging up on me with no help.

I tried twice to copy my house key since my son lost his. Both times I got home and the key doesn’t work… not even a little bit.

I am so taken back by how rude this person was with me. I called earlier today to get a locksmith to come out and reprogram a key fob and I had the key and title to the car but had misplaced the key fob. The guy wanted 30 dollars for coming out and said he would come back when we found the key fob. So I made another call and this lady andwered and I told her that we had found the key fob and that I had given the guy 30 dollars and he said he would come back and she said oh yeah you live at and said my address and I said yeah and she said she would be 20 min. So when she got here she started yelling at my friend who owns the car and then when I came out she called me a liar and then demanded 50 dollars from coming out said that I didn’t tell her what I did tell her said she was there to unlock a car not reprogram a key fob kept on being a jerk and yelling at me and I said I am sorry if you misunderstood but I already gave a guy 30 today and that I wasn’t going to be giving their company any more money and started walking away and she started to get aggressive and told me to f—-k off . I am actually nervous now if she is going to retaliate and am thinking that maybe I should be calling the police and telling them the situation!

My kiosk car key goes into the door, but does not turn. It goes into the ignition and starts the car. A spare key is useless if it can’t get you in.

Ordered the key duplicate through the machine. 3days (!) later I am getting this email:

During the quality assurance review of your KeyMe order, it was discovered that your key cannot be copied at this time. Your key type looks very similar to one that we do support, and unfortunately the kiosk didn't make that distinction when scanning your key.

I sincerely apologize for the confusion - we have, of course, fully refunded your transaction.

Hopeless service

So,I went to 3 different machines and nott one would make the key at the machines. Also, it cost 11.50 when it's usually is about 5 bucks. I will not be using your machines again until the machines cut them on location and the price is reasonable again. AMERICA IS FALLING APART.

Called dispatch service, said they would have a tech nearby call. After an hour of waiting, called another locksmith. I was in my house in 30 mins.
3 hours later, the tech called.
