Quiet, secluded

A gorgeous property in a serene location. Remote, peaceful and a children‘s paradise with so much space to run about.

This retreat is a treat. The owners have created a haven for those seeking a break from the monotonies of life. it's designed purely to immerse you in a space that gives you time to think and reflect.

The cabin looks out onto a large pond ringed with bulrushes, designed for swimming, jetties providing entry into clean, almost silky water, which has lillies floating on it, damsel flies dancing above them and large dragon flies zipping about hunting.

There's a sauna positioned a little way from the cabin amongst the trees that surround the pond and comfortable chairs and a hammock seemingly placed at random, but which pick up the sun at different times during the day.

The interior of the cabin has been designed to reflect its surroundings with a calming colour palette and the focus is on the large glass windows that bring traverse inside and out. There is great attention to detail - from the luxurious bed linen and essential oils down to the little glass bottles, (supplied daily on request) which contain fruit juices.

The hosts can provide food and there's a fire pit to cook on.

Excellent quality property, with all the arrival details and booking confirmation done efficiently.

Plenty of choice to choose a great hide away in the most beautiful places in the UK. Clear website.

Our Shacks stay in Llangollen was so perfect. Beautiful, serene setting. If you’re a nervous driver then be prepared as you have to drive up a winding hillside on a narrow road (this just added to the fun and adventure for me!). The quality of the shack itself was outstanding - even small little touches like a hand held grinder for fresh coffee and OS explorer map and compass for walks.

Communication was very responsive, friendly and professional at all hours of the day.

The online guidebook provided has everything you could want or need to know, including helpful tips about the local area.

We’ll definitely be returning to shacks!

Great customer service and great choices in places to stay.

Found and booked a wonderful cabin (Albion Nights) through Kip Hideaways for a little break in July and were really happy with the whole experience.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay in Black Rhadley. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. We didn’t see any passers-by at all, it was a quiet secluded spot exactly as described. Enjoyed hearing the nightjar at dawn and being surrounded by lots of bees and butterflies

We loved our stay at the Bullghyll Hut in the Yorkshire Dales. The location was perfect for a 3 night stay for us and our dog. The views were breathtaking. The hut had everything we needed for our stay. Having a luxury bathroom in the shepherds hut was lovely too.

There was a slight hiccup where Kip didn’t send us any info through about our booking location etc. When I emailed the lovely owners of the hut they kindly sent all the details over but were under the impression that Kip would handle that side of things.

Kip's customer service was great. Last week we stayed at Jacobs Cottage in The Gower. Beautiful, quirky little cabin surrounded by the best bays in The Gower. Really lovely owners right next door, where nothing was too much trouble. Evie at Kip was very responsive and helpful.

The booking was really easy and was kept well informed and good instructions for arrival. The property fully lived up to expectations and would be more than happy to use the company and stay at this property again.

Foxearth is a lovely, comfortable and well equipped cottage in the heart of rural Dorset. The hosts, Sarah and Simon, are very welcoming, attentive and on-hand if needed. What they have created is very special and their passion for Foxearth shines through. From the beautifully restored cottage with its tasteful and stylish decor to the magnificent garden overflowing with plants and colour. Truly a place to relax and re-charge. We can highly recommend this property and hope to return.

We had the perfect couple of days in this very peaceful cabin and enjoyed our calm and quiet stay so very much. The hosts took such good care of us and we felt very welcomed all the time. Would one hundred percent recommend and would love to visit again in the future.

Absolutely awful experience. Booked the Dorset nook which turned out to be completely inaccessible by car. You have to leave your car in a car park and then walk down a hill with all your luggage and provisions. Down a lane and then down another steep path which is unpaved on which you can easily lose your footing. It was impossible for us to stay - my husband is 80 and could not possibly have managed. There was no warning g on the website that the property was unsuitable for the elderly or those who have mobility issues. There is no mention of gradients and makes it seem it’s an easy and short walk to the cottage. The corsage itself is dark and small. The steps up to the bedroom are unlit and dangerous for anyone who’s not particularly mobile. Will never book either this company again. Double and triple check all details or you too will make an expensive and costly mistake. We had to book a hotel and abandon our stay and were refused any compensation.

We have recently returned from a 2 week stay at “Tidal Shore” In Marazion.We feel very lucky to have been able to stay here,a lovely quirky excellently converted beach house which has everything you could need for a holiday.The view from inside and from the terrace is amazing,a completely uninterrupted panoramic view across MountsBay with St Michael’s Mount standing proud in the centre,superb!
Our only disappointment(but not a criticism) was that there were no horses or donkeys in the field to watch as shown in the photos on the website.Understandably things change,but when you only have photos to go by naturally we thought we would see them so maybe the photos should be renewed to reflect the changes.
We have been very happy with Kips as a holiday agent,everything was explained well and any queries were dealt with promptly.It would have been good to be able to be in contact by phone rather than just email.
