About Littlefair's
Back in 2001, Les G. Littlefair began stocking wood stain products in his Darwen based bric-a-brac shop and soon noticed how well the products sold. As a joiner with an eye for perfection, he believed he could create an even better product that could enhance any untreated wood. After months of perfecting a product that was easy to use, environmentally friendly and beautiful to look at, Les began selling his first range. It wasn’t long until the success of his products enabled him to leave the bric-a-brac trade and concentrate on cultivating his own brand.
Based in Blackburn, Littlefair’s are multi award winning manufacturers of water-based wood dyes, varnishes, finishing oils and wax polishes. In addition to selling online we supply a number of trusted stockists – please look on the ‘find a stockist’ section on our website to locate your nearest stockist!
We were delighted recently to land the 2021 Distinction Award for Customer Service Excellence, awarded by SME News, as our values centre around providing the finest quality products and great customer service. Too much time to mix stripped pine!
For years I have been mixing various colours of wood stain to try and create an authentic 'Stripped Pine' patina on new wood - most of the so called 'old pine/antique pine' stains are awful and just make the wood orange. I mostly try and use reclaimed timber on my client projects that call for authentic old pine built-ins but inevitably I have to use new timber for various parts and that's where the problems start.
However, I have just tried Littlefair's 'Stripped Pine' stain and finally my days spending hours mixing stains to create an authentic finish are over. Littlefairs will be my go to now for all my projects that demand the wood to be stained. Thank you

Fantastic product
Fantastic product. Needed for some overly light Iroko - prompt advise, beautiful product that worked very well with the oily hardwood. Very easy to apply and well priced compared to competitors. Absolutely recommended.
