I'm a customer of 40 yrs plus, with substantial savings with the group, and a shareholder. My father in Law sadly passed away, I approached Lloyds to open an executors account as an executor of his estate (which is substantial) - nothing doing, I am still awaiting a return telephone call after 3 days. Shocking, totally unacceptable, I worked for Lloyds myself for 30 years as a senior corporate manager, it's so saddening to see how far the organisation has fallen professionally.
Awful won’t be banking with them again
Had reduced my account balance to zero a few years ago as the interest rate was terrible. Asked them to close.
This week I start getting messages from Llyods saying I have to log in. Log in results in error please try again later.
Rang up and was advised I need to go into branch. Went into branch to close the account. What a waste of time. Took about an hour to sort.
Accounts can be opened online and actioned but they need me to go in physically to close?
Very unhappy with the service and the time wasters. I won’t be using Llyods again.

Avoid Lloyds bank like the plague
The mobile app is shocking, I went in to approve a transaction Lloyds declined the transaction and then reported my account for fraud. Blocked my card, blocked my account and I had to go into a branch to gain access.
I had an actual fraud transaction last week, 3 attempts and Lloyds let the transaction go through. £300 out of pocket, you cannot get through to the fraud line staff frequently hang up the phone and wait times are over an hour I spent 6 hours ringing through to Lloyds after being hung up on twice and the issue was still not sorted.
They even block mobile app transfers, I do not recommend this to anyone. They are overly cautious when you try to spend your money but let fraudsters get to it.
Lloyds banking group and other banks
This company that controls Halifax bank use a system to process bank account applications cifas and CRAs but when they do checks they only read what these companies hold but never stop to think this information could be false they just bully and target protential customers with it and decline you, banks used to help people with opening account 15 years ago now they see you as a risk cos of this nonsense no wonder people are losing faith in uk banks these days turned into pure arrogant bullies it's pathetic 😠🙄

Giving one star is being generous. I have been with them for over 12 yrs but they are getting worst day by day. Went with an issue to the reading branch and was told straight to the face that they could not help. The staff have no idea about their job. Had to stay in que for over 15 minutes only one person serving and about 15 to 18 people on queue very one waiting was getting frustrated. Have to change my bank I would recommmend people not to have an account there. I would close my as well as soon as possible
Never can get through to customer services
Never can get through to customer services, always experiencing high call volumes. But all working from home & doing nothing, when you do get through after a hour or so you have the pleasure of hearing crying children in the background.
So unprofessional, it’s about time you get your staff back in the banks & offices !!!

Shocking Customer Service closing all Accounts…
Shocking Customer Service closing all my accounts after many years of being a loyal customer with Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
Made an enquiry why having received a text message stating my account was in overdraft which was wrong customer services explained the phone call was for another Customer using wrong phone number.
As a result Lloyds closed all my accounts giving two weeks notice by Manger J T
Will never use Lloyds accounts ever again and wish to warn other account holders to be aware of their disgraceful service to life long account holders
Anti fraud team stop so many payments!
Hard to make any payment in credit card when abroad, so I carry an alternative card.
Hard to transfer money, as then I have 20 minutes with the anti fraud team to say it is really me, and yea I really do want to transfer money.
I thought the second time transfering money to same people it would now go through - except they want the anti fraud team to have another lovely (and long) chat with me again.
It feels like having ask mum and dad is I can spend my pocket money please, except I've banked with these guys for 40 years and now opening other accounts with other banks in order to be able to access and move my.money!

Lloyds Fraud prevention team are the most unprofessional and disrespectful team I have ever encountered they blocked my account and told me to call! After 3 long awaited calls they told me to go to branch which they knew was closed, i called them again and the team seems to take my complaint personally and got angry and blocked my card on Saturday and Sunday I have nothing to make shopping for my kids as we do shop on Sundays only! Very disappointed really.

Recently the online banking app was upgraded (or downgraded!). The new app is from Cartoon Network. So ugly. Has all your accounts on the home page, meaning you cannot even log into your online banking in public as all your savings and everything will be will just be on display! Whoever came up with this idea should be sacked. Changing my bank so I can have a decent online banking app.
Shockingly poor customer service
Shockingly poor customer service. Without a doubt the worse company I have ever dealt with. Letters just ignored or only half answered, no sense of urgency and not a trace of empathy or understanding. Level of technical knowledge woeful - I can not find anyone in customer service who has even a basic level of knowledge on pensions or who understands the Banks own products. 100% useless company.
Attempting to transfer my pension
Attempting to transfer my pension from Clerical Medical has been an absolute nightmare for me.
This is my second attempt, the first was scuppered due to massive delays and then they said I had to resubmit a form because it was more than 90 days old, it wasn’t even 30 days old. The amount of stress this has caused is unconscionable.
I made a second attempt, armed with the knowledge I’d learnt from my first attempt I asked them to detail what they needed from me and the receiving party. Needless to say several weeks later I received a letter asking me to request something else from the receiving party. After doing this several weeks went past before I received another letter asking for proof I had sought financial advice and that this request was a mandatory requirement. Pension Wise advised me that certain pensions had safeguarded benefits where it was mandatory/a legal requirement to obtain regulated financial advice, however they further advised my pension did not have a safeguarded benefit.
This whole process has been extremely distressing and inconvenient especially considering Clerical Medical have been around for a few hundred years, you would have thought they would be able to deal with the straightforward process of transferring a pension by now!
Lloyds Bank avoid!!!
Trying to purchase tickets , my account got blocked , contact the fraud line ..after 30min or so was told to go in-store , went in-store spent another 30-40min ..unblocked my account ..thereafter tried to deposit money into my own Revolut account I was blocked out of my Lloyds app , now my account is locked , can't get into the banking app ..I guess it's illegal to transfer monies between your own accounts? Paper trail shows everything in black and white ...but Lloyds bank can't read.. absolutely crap .. please avoid at all cost .
Sad to say I regret opening this account.now I have no funds available to live or pay my expenses ..common council tax , Energy supplier ..Lloyds are holding your monies that I have to pay you.

Ive been with lloyds for around 15yrs. Ive always been happy with them untill now! The new banking app theyve brought in is utter sh*te!!!!!!!!! I carnt get the info i need! The icons have changed! I dint under stand this new app!! Its now time to move banks!!! This spp is stressing me out!!!! SHAME ON U LLOYDS BANK WITH THIS NEW APP ITS UTTER SH*TE!!!!!
