I haven't been to Longleat in almost 50 years. I really enjoyed it. Every staff member I met was incredibly kind and helpful, particularly with my dad, who is elderly and a tires easily. The safari wa... Ver mais

Members/Season Card
We went to visit on 3/8/25 this was our second visit & both times had a great experience so much so that we were thinking of taking out a membership. Apparently if you go to to the Guest Services during your visit the money you spent on the visit can be used towards your Membership. I didn't want to waste time filling in forms as had our young grandaughter with us and thought i would call them the next morning and do it over the phone - Well apparently you cannot so if you are in the park and want to join up then do it there and then as there is no flexibility which is a shame as it is a lot of money and surely people would want to think it over and not rush into a decision. I cannot believe there is no flexibility on this surely offering this up to 48 hours after your visit wouldn't be the end of the world! Longleat has now lost our payment of £275 in membership fees - seems crazy to me!
Nothing wrong with the attractions but…
Nothing wrong with the attractions but absolutely fed up with the members ticket renewal , what was wrong with the cards we are elderly and the new online pass system also caused us a lot of frustration. We decided to treat our family to a day out which included another pair of members with three children a family of 5 and a single parent and child we used the online booking to get the 20% discount for family we managed this with difficulty and distributed the tickets . When the family of five reached the booth they were told they shouldn’t have been let in as they weren’t with a member ! We couldn’t all get in one car and arrived at different times , also we are in our 70’s so didn’t want to do everything with the youngsters we did the safari then left , we told the ladies at the booth that our family might want to do the Safari but we wouldn’t be with them as we were off home after we’d completed it , again we were told they shouldn’t be going through without us as members being there . Surely the system could show that we were on sight after booking in , we had the bar codes for entry for everyone and most importantly had PAID IN FULL . We have been members for several years and feel this experience took the edge off our visit
A magical day at Longleat
A magical day at Longleat. I took my mum for her 86th birthday present and we did everything! The boat trip was really lovely and we were so chuffed to feed the sealions.. Memphis is a noisy boy! The Gorillas were also a lovely sight to see out in their enclosure. We decided on the bus safari as I really didn't want to lose anything off my car 🙃. The macaques are little devils but incredibly funny to watch and they really were a highlight. We were lucky enough to see all the big cats, especially the Amur Tiger family. Spectacular sight to see. Harry the lion was in the sin bin which made us laugh as he had been naughty apparently. We were sad bot to see Anne but at the ripe old age of 71 and having been through what she had, it was understandable she is a little shy. Dave, our safari bus driver was amazing, very informative and very funny. Thanks Dave for a lovely tour. And finally the house itself... beautiful furnishings, paintings and ceilings. Just a lovely end to a lovely day. Thank you all.
Wow what a great day got to see many…
Wow what a great day got to see many animals Dave on our safari tour was amazing will definitely be going again can’t understand some of the stupid peoples reviews on here if you go into the monkey enclosure common sense tells you there going to pull bits off your car and charging £1-50 for feeding food is quite affordable we had an amazing time shame on you people for the stupid bad reviews
Animals are amazing, shame about the customer care
I have wanted to go here for SO long and was finally surprised on my birthday. So many people had told me about certain key features such as the monkeys on the car, the boat ride and the meerkats. My 4 year old daughter was excited to see the elephant but unfortunately, the elephant was shy that day. The park was great, the staff was friendly, the food was expensive and stale so I wouldn't recommend eating here but there are plenty of places to have a picnic. It was a lovely day, however it was ruined by the boats (a key feature I would argue) being closed for maintenance. This was not communicated on the website or to my partner who purchased the tickets. As the tickets cost over £100 for a family of 3 to go, this is not cheap, so my partner did email Longleat as we were unable to do the boat journey and therefore missed seeing the Gorillas, hippos and seals (and perhaps more). Unfortunately, Longleat do not care about peoples experiences and disappointment which only disappoints further. Such a shame as the animals were so amazing.
Totally rip off, don't waste your money!!!
We finally manage to go for the mum day because there was an offer otherwise we totally could afford it!!!A family of 5 is about £200, for a day, it is absolutely ridiculous, in particular for what they offer...nothing!!!
Queue everywhere, asking for money (£1.5) to feed animals, food price totally not affordable ( again after £200 to go inside you don't have lots of money to spend after inside). I very sad ice-cream, more than £3....
We did the safary (first time in my life and my kids life) and it was traumatizing for all of us. My toddler, less than 3 years, every time we go in the car, think about the naughty monkey that was eating the car...yes the monkeys damaged my car, eating the parking sensors and the spray jet for the windscreen...my children where so afraid and scared, we wanted just to leave but there was no escape way and no staff member preventing this!!!
They remove from themself any responsibilities for what the monkey can do to your car but, what they should do, is to have staff member ready to remove the monkey from the car when they start to destroy it!!!
My kids used to love zoo, now they don't want even talk about to go in any, it was a terrible experience.
If you want to do the safari by bus you have even to buy other expensive tickets...
You can't even call this place zoo, very limited number of animals, the farm was even empty!!!
Never again, better the little farm near home, they have more animals and you can save money and actually enjoy the visit.
Had an amazing day at Longleat safari…
Had an amazing day at Longleat safari park with the bronze vip tour to finish the day. Richard was our very experienced guide who not only looked after us so that we knew we were completely safe but got us up close and in contact with some amazing animals that were free to roam as they wished. Richard was attentive, informative and entertaining. We will come back again very soon and will ask for Richard. He made our day and is a credit to your team. Thank you we cannot complement him enough. Amazing can't wait to return. Keith and Karen.
Christmas lights
Has been my first time to Longleat for the Christmas lights.
Absolutely loved it, amazing set traveling through age's from kings and Queens, greek mythology, vikings, ice age and especially the big Christmas tree with a short light show. Really enjoyed the owls
Overall it was a lovely experience
Thank you
My husband gifted me a VIP experience…
My husband gifted me a VIP experience for 2025, which is non-refundable; we have been calling the given VIP booking line for the last 6 hrs, but no one has answered. They will not allow you to book your date online; this is a very frustrating situation when they only offer limited dates. Why sell an experience and make it impossible for the buyer to book the dates? And make it non-refundable. so far terrible experience
Screaming children ruined the day.!
What could have been a lovely day was ruined by screaming toddlers. First on the boat a child about 18months screamed the whole way not interested in the animals at all. The next was the safari , another screamed all the way round for 2 hours!. Why there is not an age limit on the bus is crazy. It was ruined by small children who are too young to be interested and we were all trapped in and had to put up with it. Went home with a head ache, which is wrong when things are expensive. Will not go back.
Another cashless site
Another cashless site! It's wrong, sort it out. It made most of the things you're offering off limits
Silver VIP and Red Pandas
We visited Longleat yesterday to do our Silver VIP experience and Red Panda experience.
The silver tour was lead by Richard and he was phenomenal. He got us really close to the animals and he was very knowledgeable and funny. He absolutely made our morning. He was so patient and never made us feel rushed. We felt really looked after and special, and it’s one of the best experiences I have done. My 9 year old adored it.
In the afternoon, Carrie did the red panda experience. We were lucky enough that one of the pandas (Emma) came to feed from us for quite a long time. Carrie really knew her stuff and she told us lots of facts we never knew. It was such a wonderful experience. I would recommend to anyone!
We explored the rest at our leisure. Keep your VIP lanyards as you get other free things (like feeding the birds).
Bronze VIP experience
We had a Bronze VIP experience with Ronnie and it was amazing. She was so knowledgeable about the animals and we learnt a huge amount. The lions were on full display and the giraffes were just amazing. We were able to get so close to the animals and had absolutely fantastic time. 100% worth it.
Appalling entry system
For a visitor attraction that has had nearly 60 years of experience of handling large numbers of people and cars the operation was appalling. It took over 90 minutes from arriving at the queue to starting the drive through safari. With people dashing from their cars at the entry booths to go to the toilets because of the excessive wait. No apologies, and yet all tickets are sold in advance so they must know of the expected numbers they are to handle
Amazing time at Longleat
Amazing day at Longleat to see Steve Backshall, Staff were amazingly helpful, approachable and friendly. Dean the tour guide of the boat cruise was thoroughly entertaining, Could happily listen to him all day. The Steve Backshall live show was brilliant as expected, Safari was great as always, it's nice to know you will see all of the animals up close, it's also nice to see animals zoos closer to us no longer have making it worth the travel
Appalling queues with tickets extremely…
Appalling queues with tickets extremely over priced. It took over 1.30 mins to get in. Queue was badly organised with grumpy staff. We even had to queue for over 20 mins for the washrooms with kids. Food was average but also expensive. Parking was miles away and staff were grumpy and rude. Will be warning all our friends and family. Spoke to the ticket office re our complaints. They could not have cared less. A very greedy company. We will be reporting it to the advertising regulatory body and also health and safety re the unacceptable over crowding
Great day out
The staff are amazing.
They go above and beyond when speaking to you, yet not patronising like they are performing monkeys.
Dean and Alex on the boat were on top form, they really made our day that bit more fun.
The only down side was we couldn’t do it all in one day.
So we will now have to save again to come again.
My family went on the VIP Jeep safari…
My family went on the VIP Jeep safari two jeeps with our tour guides Dave and Tammy. They wer fantastic. Full of knowledge, so friendly and we had the best time. We went for my mums bucket list adventures and the whole day was so wonderful. Every single member of staff were so friendly and helpful and the park looked beautiful and was easy to get around(even with mums hired scooter) they are so brilliant there. Even though it was raining it was great. Thank you longleat.
My experience at LongLeat
My experience was quite enjoyable. The festival of light was incredibly entertaining and the food / beverages was top notch quality.Thankyou for the wholesome , memorable experience.
Greed and Chargebacks
Went to Festival of Lights which was poor this year. £120 for 4 of us and the weather had caused widespread flooding and power cuts across most of the site. Despite acknowledging this, Longleat are refusing to refund, instead offering a return visit before March 31st 2024. The festival finished January 7th, what are we supposed to revisit? Having tried to amicably resolve this with them I realised i was banging my head against a very greedy brick wall and have had to raise a dispute with my bank. Sadly we will not be supporting Longleat any more, there’s plenty of superior venues.
