Paid for a subscription to MarketWatch as part of a package with Wall Street Journal and Barron's. Subscribed to weekly news emails for all three.

Unsubscribed after quickly realizing that Barron’s and MarketWatch emails are useless to me. Barron’s stopped sending emails right away, MarketWatch didn’t.

I unsubscribed from MarketWatch five more times over the course of six months, and every time it said “you will be unsubscribed within several business days” but their emails still keep coming to this day.

Had to set up a filter so now those emails go straight to the spam folder and I don’t see them anymore. I will not be giving MarketWatch any more money.

I gave my info for a ln auto insurance quote and hit enter. It transferred me to another site that asked for same info again. At the same time my phone gets multiple calls and multiple texts. For the last 15 minutes my phone has had calls on both lines and texts hitting one after the other. Absolute nightmare. DO NOT ASK FOR A QUOTE. You will regret it. They don’t supply quote just harvest your information and sell it half the businesses in the world.

Been reading this site for years for the financial commentary, but there is too much political slant on many of the articles and on the comments section. If you disagree with the typical leftist talking points, your comment is promptly rejected. It becomes an echo chamber without challenge.

Not a fan of the new paywall either. The site isn't good enough to spend money on.

Ongoing fake news and false narrative. This company is owned by Dow Jones The Wall Street Journal.
This company collaborates with Robin Hood among many others to deliver misleading news articles to steer retail Traders into making unwise and risky decisions. One of many Market flow control mechanisms of the hedge funds and large corporations to stifle retail trading and Rob honest working people.

Fear spreading it's all they do. There isn't one realistic or positive article ever since I've started looking at their website.
In fact thousands of analysts and bankers get it wrong 99% of the time. If they wouldn't, they would be rich and not working ! Don't get yourself fooled around and follow your instinct.

I never read Market Watch articles. Today, I read an article about Netflix and was going to comment. So, I registered using my Facebook acct with no problem, but the page IMMEDIATELY BLOCKED me, saying I had "you have reached your article limit". WHAT? ONE article is the limit? Ridiculous.

This site supports and helps fraudsters, I was scammed by OrbitGTM, they claimed me a UK tax before proceeding to a withdrawal, which I suspected to be false, MarketWatch confirmed me that I had to pay this tax, which turned out to be a fraud! Run away MarketWatch & OrbitGTM

They are supporting a lot of SCAMERS... They even ask them to write financial articles in order to make the fraud more believable.

Scam. Completely unreliable for investing purposes. Articles are poorly written. Editors have been bought and sold.

MarketWatch is far from a reliable source of news or information for the general public let alone anyone with industry experience. There is an obvious conflict of interest between the published articles and the objective truths of the subject covered. Biases are out of control and opinion pieces are abundant with fact based research left behind. You can count on this site to support some of the larger market makers and insiders are large funds much like what was described by Jim Cramer in Wall Street Confidential. Save your money and do your own research rather than pay for someone else to lead you towards their own personal goals.

I distrust their conflict of interest and pushing stocks backed by their parent company, MFAM. They’re also backed by Citadel Invests, and Melvin Capital - two names you cannot trust in todays market.

Absolutely shameful, the things they write is for click bait at most, they shy away from the truth and broadcast the lies in the world. They should be closed down and not aloud to write another thing, except an apology to anybody that’s wasted precious time, reading absolutely rubbish!

One star isn't low enough for these parasites.
I simply tried commenting on there most recent article vilifying retail investors for buying and hodling a stock they like.
and it was rejected by the Mods of Marketwatch.

I didn't threaten, I didn't use vulgar language.

If you read such a worthless piece of trash in those days (when they were actually written on paper) you could still bunch  it up and use it for kindling or line a bird cage with it. Now it has absolutely no value whatsoever.
I find it hard to believe that on a day when the dow drops nearly 1000 points you can't find anything better to write about than retail investors buying and holding a stock they like. I guess that's the good thing about writing "opinion" pieces for a joke like Marketwatch, you don't actually have to do any research where you might accidentally learn something. Ignorance is bliss, right?
Think about this, these "articles" get archived (along with who wrote them). Imagine you were disparaging civil rights activists in the the 1960's because they wanted equality, this is how all of you will be remembered. The only thing retail investors are asking for is equality and transparency.
If you want to see what a real journalist looks like I'd suggest you look up Lucy Komisar she's been an investigative reporter for 60 years, but be careful you may actually learn something."
When I replied to find out why my comment was rejected I got no response.
I guess Marketwatch doesn't concern itself with things like free speech.

They are complete scammers and thieves that just haven't been caught yet. They actually are working in cahoots with E-Trade. What happens is they will come up as a real stock if you Google a stock that is listed on Etrade trying to convince you that it is a real stock as eTrade / ETrade employees actually list fake stocks. The money goes into their own personal bank accounts. If anybody has any questions I have been doing a huge investigation against E-Trade and the rest of the douchebag thieves. So is the Federal Government. Be very very careful. Ask me anything and I'll answer it.

I can't do anything without seen at least 2 ads taht I can't skip was also required to turn off the ad blocker.

If I could give negative points or even 0 star, I would do so. I was duped to purchase betterme app based on a phony article that was posted on Yahoo. I paid it with my credit card and once I paid, I never received any link to the app. After four days of communication via e-mail, I was send a phony code which did not open any link for redemption and downloading the app. Once I clicked, this appeared:

This page could not be found.

I tried to get refund but I was said that I can get only credit and purchase something else on their site. It ends up that these people are just taking money from people and no service is provided. They are scammers and they respond as support heroes.com.
The person who responds are named Erin and Charles. I think they change their name and there is no assurance if anyone is there. Do not buy Betterme.

THESE GUYS ARE OWNED BY THE BIG INSTITUTIONS THAT WANT TO PROTECT THEIR OWN POCKETS AT YOUR EXPENSE!!!! THEY SPREAD FAKE NEWS!!!!!!!!
