Unhappy with outcome
We are very unhappy with MB&G insurance, they only covered us for our Caravan loss, they will not cover contents and also they would not help with trying to get losses back from bookings and storage, for a none fault claim I have worked out our loss was £7k
When I complained they basically did not care and told us to go the financial ombudsman

I have waited 11 weeks to hear back…
I have waited 11 weeks to hear back from a visit to my home where my sofa was inspected. I chased them up myself and was told that the sofa can not be in direct sunlight but if i scored it with a knife i could have claimed. Shocking customer service

Quick and easy to set up, covered from the get go. Great cover. Lauren was really helpful and efficient from sending the initial email, phone call received within minutes and all signed up straight away.

The claim form was really easy to use and the whole claim experience was much better than I’ve experienced elsewhere. My claim handler was patient and done a good job and I was happy with how fast it was handled

Absolute nightmare going back and forth…
Absolute nightmare going back and forth requesting documentation that had already been sent initially.
Then was told claim would be finalised in 5 days , had no update for them to then accuse me of sending the wrong report to them. (They added a different customers report to my email which i had not sent and had evidence of this)
Not the first gap insurance i used and wont ever be using these lot again.
Complete inconvenience and headache from the start.

Total waste of money
Took caravan cover with insurd only to find out they are a broker and MB&G are the insurance company. I payed the extra to cover my awning when I tried to make a claim as it was damaged only to find out that nothing is coved for awnings.
This is what is covered for caravan awnings
Loss or damage as a result of Accidental Damage, fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, theft or attempted theft, malicious acts or vandalism, storm or flood (excluding awnings)”

Great claims handler, strange claim adjustment
Out claim handler Like Armstrong was very professional and quick to.deal with our claim. Like another recent review we also were told that we had under valued our caravan, and they reduced our claim amount because of that! We insured the caravan for the amount that we paid for it, and that is being honest. Had we insured it for more that is being dishonest, but then your happy to.pay out more....strange! The vast majority of our claim was.for items stolen, or destroyed, not damage to.the caravan, so why make a deduction because of the actual caravan value???!! Also.the claim form.is so frustrating, as it does not let you go.onto the next page until you fill.out everything on that page. Why can we not be allowed to pursue all the pages first, so we know exactly what to.put together ready to fill.out each page??? Having said this Like was very good and the whole process only took 4 days!!! Well done.

I’d not heard of MB&G before I made my claim but they were fantastic.
At every step my claim handler kept me informed. It was quick and easy.

The worst company i,ve ever dealt with.
This insurance company will insure you knowing your motor home will not be covered , after trying to make a claim you then find out that the gold cover means if your motor home is over 10 years old nothing is covered, but the sales team wont tell you this but are happy to take your money for nothing, they are a total waste of money.
They dont deserve even 1 star.
