I installed moneythum on India trip to my home pc and now I am back to Canada and they are saying there is no way they can uninstall or deactivate license on Indian PC. I do not have access to that pc anymore and after repeated email, they told me that they can cancel my renewal. Customer support team name is Amanda.

In reviewing the customer service logs on your account, it's clear that we have tried everything we can to assist you. We have explained to you that because you purchased a 1-user license, you cannot install it on multiple machines. We asked you to provide the MAC address of the one computer that you will be using, which we then associated with your single-user license. However, even after you indicated that you uninstalled the license from the other machines, we kept seeing new activity on those "uninstalled" machines. Our license system does not allow for this and it's made very clear in our terms and conditions that the user is completely responsible for maintaining and controlling your license code. If you have sent your code to multiple users who keep using it, there is nothing we can do from our end as we do not have the ability to deactivate a machine remotely.
We have tried several times to work with you to identify the one computer you will be using with the 1-user license that you purchased, but clearly the license is being used on other machines. We do have online subscriptions that may be better suited for your multi-user needs; please reach out and we can share more details. We wish you success in finding a solution that better fits your needs.

quick way to speed up importing to check register
MoneyThumb has been a huge saving point for my company. Many clients do not send register information and we have to rely on the bank statement. This program gives us the ability to take the older statements (and the new) and import them for a variety of clients without logging into their banking portals. Plus it has a 'payee cleanup' feature to help remove the long descriptions on statements!

My vote for number one worst customer service experience!
If there was zero, I would’ve picked that. I asked for a refund because the files that I converted directly into Quick books aren’t in my QuickBooks, and after hours of trying to get them from money thumb, went to bed at 2 AM having done nothing. I received a response as if I was making it up because they saw that I used my conversion. I didn’t dispute that, they are not in my QuickBooks and when I click on them, I can’t get them so it was a waste of money. The automated “we don’t give any money back response” is unacceptable for every situation and I’m getting sick of it at large. Not once was I asked if anybody could help me find the documents, I was repeatedly accused of, I guess keeping the documents and trying to get my money back, I don’t know? Ultimately I was told that they are blocking me from their system because they don’t wanna communicate with me. Customer service from a 12 year old perspective. Zero emotional intelligence, zero concern for the customer.Rather than to try to de-escalate the situation, I was told that they don’t want to deal with me, they’ve canceled my subscription for me and blocked me from their system! So here’s a fact, if you have a problem, and you think that a refund would be a resolution, you can expect a hard no, we don’t really need you or your business, have no concern whether or not you got your moneys worth out of our product and we have absolutely no interest in helping you use the product. That’s a big risk for your hard earned money.

We reviewed your situation at length and have concluded that there is no basis for a refund given that all of the conversions that you purchased were used and converted perfectly. With thousands of QuickBooks customers and millions of conversions successfully processed, we have not run into a situation where the documents disappeared. It's unfortunate that you are not able to locate the documents in QuickBooks and perhaps this is something to address with them.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, unwilling to assist or cooperate with technical support, and threatening to take away access to our PAID Licenses because of "License violation" when we are clearly explaining the that it is in fact, all on the cloud, which run on multiple machines. "Amanda M." ("Customer Service MANAGER" this is laughable) get training on customer service please or you will lose all your customers. This lady was unapologetically rude, and definitely not looking towards the future to retaining customers. Thanks.

We're sorry that you feel that we were unwilling to cooperate. Our customer service team explained that your license allows for a certain number of users and in your case, the number of users has been in excess of what's allowable per the licensing agreement. It is important for us to maintain good relationships with our customers and we do hope that you reconsider the recommendation that we provided, that our MoneyThumb Online option may better suit your needs. Revoked license after paid subscription
I subscribed to this for my accounting office and the product itself is good. We had this installed on too many computers which I wasn't aware of at the time and we're locked out of the program. We had since uninstalled this from every work station except for one, which is all I really need anyway, but the company has refused to reinstate our license and so I have paid for a subscription that I can't even use. Completely unprofessional approach and it forced me to look for alternatives. We are not looking to take advantage of an excess number of licenses. We have a history of emails that show we were looking to correct this over and over again. An issue may have arose from an install on a computer that isn't even in use anymore and can't even be turned on. But that doesn't seem to matter, we are being treated as if we are trying to scam the system when all we want is the single license and install that we paid for. Completely immoral of the person running this company. There are other similar software companies and while this product works, put your money in someone else's pocket, not this jerk.

Hi James - without getting into the particulars about your situation, we believe that we did our best to work with you on your single-user license. It is very clear that our license is for a single install and we even made an exception in your case until we saw continuous attempts to install on other computers. We then had no choice but to limit the single user license to a single computer. Our products are priced much lower than many of our competitors and to keep our products competitively priced, we need to ensure that our licensing policies are being adhered to. The best at what it does
The best at what it does. The user experience leaves something to be desired but for converting pdfs and even CSVs to OFX, it's the right tool for the job. I have had a great experience with their customer service as well.
