Summary: Mon Motors Skoda Gloucester provided awful experience while trying to purchase a car. Salesman broke GDPR by sending me another customers personal details plus lying to me about the scheme and trying to use pressure tactics to have me agree to an offer without having it in black and white.
I visited to view a couple of cars as part of the Skoda plus approved used event running until the 20/04/26, Talking to the salesman I really liked a Skoda Karoq that looking at the PCP arrangement, fitted into my budget, slightly older than I wanted but the car was in excellent condition and with relatively low miles. I test drove it and loved it, back at the showroom as it was getting towards the end of the day (19/04) the salesman said if I put down a £500 deposit I will secure the car inside the skoda plus used event therefore getting the added skoda deposit and the preferable interest rate. I said I can come back in tomorrow after work if necessary to go through all the details and he said "no the event ends midnight tonight (19/04), its ok we can do everything over the phone and online as we will have secured the special offer with the deposit."
The next day they send me the "offer", with no prior discussion they have added over £2,000 of extras, my p/x has come in slightly lower than I was expecting, the term length was shorter than discussed at 24mths and he has significantly increased my cash deposit to bring my monthly rate into my target <£200pm budget, it feels like he maximised it to fit my budget while costing me as much as possible.
I tried to call them as soon as I was at home from work, they call me back 10 minutes before they close. The transaction manager then goes through my "offer" with me and discusses the extras which I mentioned I had not had any prior discussion about, we remove almost all of it, we discuss my P/X which he says they can't improve upon and offers a discount of £125 on the vehicle price, not thrilled but this wasn't enough to kill the deal. He understands the cash deposit has been set too high and he extends the PCP terms a bit, my monthly comes out slightly higher than anticipated but lower than the previous "offer", ok I say send me the updated offer through and I will review it, he says no if I do that you can't have the skoda plus approved used event scheme benefits. I explained the salesman yesterday told me my deposit had secured the car within the scheme, he rejects this. We almost descended into an argument, eventually I said I won't be pressured into this after having been misled and requested my £500 deposit back. He agrees to refund the deposit. Its a shame because I actually liked the car but I cannot trust dodgy salesmen that Mon Motors choose to hire.
Newport Ford mechanic broke 2 of my locking wheel nuts and they refused to cover the cost of new ones. The arrogant service assistant told me they're trained to the highest standard so it couldn't have been their fault. I came to pick up the van and one of the two new tires was at half pressure... visibly flat.
'Trained to the highest standard' ... yeah right. Embarrassing, arrogant and disinterested. Avoid.

Terrible service. If I wrote everything down it would be like a novel, with a terrible.
If you have the option, honestly stay clear .
If you have no option but to use them, your in the same boat has me and you have my sympathies.

Jacob was very patient and helpful. He worked hard to meet my requirements I’ve always found this dealership pleasant and have never felt pushed into any quick decision.

He’s such a nice bloke, really easy to talk to, and explained everything so clearly. I felt completely at ease the entire time and appreciated how well I was kept informed during the process. It’s rare to feel this looked after when buying a car, but they nailed it here. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Had a few MOTs at Bath Audi, always passed but advised would require work completed soon. Took my car for a second opinion elsewhere following the advice of Bath Audi, advised no work required soon. No longer use them as a result

I had a great experience buying my previous car from Cupra Gloucester, which encouraged me to return there for my most recent purchase.
Unfortunately, the aftercare experience hasn’t been as positive this time. I’ve had a couple of minor issues/ questions, but I’ve struggled to get a response from the sales person , whether by email or phone, to help resolve them.

Went to look at cars for our son. Promised they would send details of a part exchange that was coming in. No contact whatsoever even after a chase up. The manager didn't even want to speak to me on the phone so was asked to email him directly. Nothing from him either.

I would like to give a shout out to Bath Audi for their exceptional customer care yesterday when dealing with my granddaughter's TT. Chloe welcomed me with an attentive smile and listened to my plight. All sorted and car ready with a phone call. Chloe explained everything on hand over. Just excellent service well done.

I’ve been coming to Capitol Volkswagen Merthyr Tydfil for years, and this visit was no different in terms of how comfortable I felt. The showroom has a welcoming atmosphere, and there was no pressure during the process. The salesperson listened carefully to my circumstances and made sure I got exactly what I needed. It’s always a pleasant experience walking through those doors.

Dreadful after sale service. I spent over £100k with this lot. Shocking service well actually no servicing as they didn't have any oil for 6 months! Cancelled me twice.
Eventually it turns up with a small problem under warranty and they refuse to sort the problems as we had to get it serviced elsewhere. Embarrassing. £100k car and never going to drive Audi again. Do not use this company you will regret it. Still awaiting their complaint procedure. Off to Audi head office now.

The Golf itself has been great so far. It’s smooth to drive, handles nicely on longer trips, and feels solid on the road. Picking it up was simple, and everything was ready as expected.
I’m happy with both the car and how things were handled at the dealership.

Took the garage 3 weeks to repair my vehicle and communication form the service team was slow and lacklustre.
Given the total cost of the job the least they could have done was given the car a decent amount of charge (atleast enough for me to get home!) as well as complete the courtesy clean that they offered.
Worst still, they did not even replaced the recall component that needed replacement!

I was initially unsure about which model would suit me best, but the team at Mon Motors Volkswagen Weston-super-Mare really helped guide me through the process. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure they understood what I needed from a car. In the end, they matched me with a Volkswagen Golf that fits my requirements well. I was a bit unsure about travelling an hour and a half to view the Volkswagen Tiguan, but it turned out to be worth it. Jack made the process straightforward and welcoming, both over the phone and in person. He seemed to really understand that we'd made quite an effort to visit, which put me and my partner at ease. The test drive was useful for getting a proper feel for the car, and we had some nice hot chocolates while we went through everything. It felt professional yet relaxed, which made things much easier than I expected. Left feeling really happy with how it all worked out.

I’m really pleased with my experience at Cardiff Audi. James Payne took the time to help me choose an Audi TT, even though the car I wanted wasn’t on-site.
