They are fraudsters. They rent out apartments that do not match the photos or the description shown on their website or on booking platforms like Booking.com. When you arrive, instead of an apartment, you end up in a basement (sewer smell, dampness, cracked walls...) which has nothing to do with what you saw before booking. And when you ask for a refund, they refuse. This is fraudulent rental. Despite my many complaints, I still haven’t received the refund of my €400 deposit.
Do not deal with these SCAMMERS, FRAUDSTERS, and THIEVES.

Even though my experience with this establishment dates back to 2023, I still have a sour taste from it.

This is about a €400 cash security deposit I paid to My Space Barcelona on July 29, 2023. Their card terminal declined my fully functional credit card, and I was pressured to pay in cash. The person who pushed hardest for this was the receptionist — a Syrian guy — who was, frankly, an absolute as#hole and a thief. He insisted on the cash payment and gave no proper proof, just a handwritten note on the rental agreement.

I followed up multiple times through Booking.com and directly with the host, who initially claimed the refund would be processed within two weeks. Despite repeated assurances and sending my bank details several times, I never received the money or any proof of a transaction. The host later falsely claimed not to have my bank information.

I believe the host intentionally withheld my deposit. As a student, €400 is a lot of money, and this whole situation has been deeply frustrating. I urge Booking.com to take action and protect customers from such dishonest practices.

I lastly got reimbursed by booking.com 60 days after my check out.

Abysmal

The 1.4 star review average speaks volumes, although I think that is generous. Absolutely awful place with awful management. As 99% of the other reviews state, they will keep your deposit for ridiculous reasons, absolute scammers. We are currently in the process of fighting this and we plan to continue. The best thing to do is avoid this place, it is not clean, appliances are either cheap tat or don’t work at all! The area outside of the place smells like an animals urine which is enough to make you gag. They should not be allowed to trade simple as. AVOID

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
Don’t rent this apartments cause they will rob you!
About our stay : they didn’t pay back our deposit 400€ and I consider this absolutely unacceptable and inappropriate. The apartment was rented for 1 night for our group in order to spend the night before leaving for the Canary Islands. Due to the fact that all members of our group arrived at the apartment at different times, we did not use the beds, since we were not able to sleep all night.
Check-in was carried out at 20-00 and at the time of check-in we could no longer use the elevator due to the fact that the entire floor was covered in vomit. On the landings, which we were forced to use for this reason, we constantly met other young guests, who most likely caused all this mess in the entrance/elevator and were completely drunk.
To check in and to get the keys, I had to go to the office on the other side of the city, and not directly to the apartment, which is at least strange. At the same time, at 02-00 on 01.01.2025, we received a visit from a representative of your company due to complaints about the noise. He, in turn, made sure that there was no noise in our apartment, and also confirmed the presence of vomiting in the elevator and the impossibility of using it. In these circumstances, it is unclear why it was necessary to send your employee to us when they had ALL the phone numbers of the guests present that night? And they could have simply CALLED by phone or WhatsApp.
Automatic checkout was carried out at 06-00 on 01.01.2025. The apartment was left in its original condition, NOTHING was damaged or broken, the trash was taken out to the container outside and the dishwasher was started.

After two weeks of copy/pasted messages from the owners with the attached files with the grafics of the noise measurements which I don’t know how they did and if it’s real, the deposit was not refunded.

SHAME ON YOU!

That's just a kind advise from me, I usually don't read or care that much about reviews but this place takes the price and I can't handle myself if I don't warn other people.

Dirty, towels covered with brown spots/dirt, smells weed, they keep 700 euro in deposit!!!!!!! Seriously this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. They don't even answer when we try to get in contact regarding our deposit, I have never seen something like this.

Whatever it costs, how cheap it is - it won't be cheap in the end when they keep deposit! Choose another accomodation.

No refund of deposite

The refrigerator was not working. We complain 3 times and they said it will be done, it will be done. Never repaired.

We stayed 4 days and checkout. They told us to refund security deposit in 7 days. They didn't, and we called again. They don't answer in whatsapp, never. When we called, they said, we will get in 15 days but in their website, it is mentioned 7 days and we didn't have any choice. We still waited 15 days and finish the trip and tried to contact from mail and call, no answer for 6 -7 days. After that, they mailed us and said they are not giving to refund because we made noise and neighbour complained about us. It is totally fake. We didn't get any complaints or they didn't say anything when we stayed till 4 days.

We booked from make my trip and they don't mention about securite deposit so do not give that to this scam people.

They will steal your deposite 100% at any cost.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!! TRUST ME PLZ. I have seen this site after I came back otherwise I never booked this scammer's place.

Would give 0 stars if I could. After a quiet and pleasant stay the nightmare began. They stole €400 from us and refuse to give it back. I will never recommend this place to anyone and if you are considering staying here DON'T!

Terrible terrible place to stay honestly do not go , stayed in March Omg this had to be the worse place I’ve ever stayed in , they Also take 400 euro deposit not a hope of getting it back , and it’s not from lack of trying believe me ,, please don’t waste your money pay extra and stay elsewhere

The perfect scam for unsuspecting tourists.

BluePillow should remove this slum “hotel” from its listings.
✅ bed bug infested.
✅ no hot water.
✅ disgusting bathroom.
✅ no response from owners.

If you want to hate your life and spend hundreds of euros cleaning your personal belongings after being attacked by dozens of insects, you’ve found the perfect place.

All that’s left is for the owner to steal my $400 security deposit, and we’ll have the perfect vacation from hell.

-10 out of 10.

I would rather vote for Donald Trump than stay here again.

Heruntergekommen!

Die Bilder entsprechen nicht dem Zustand! Elektrogeräte funktionieren nicht, ein Techniker musste zwei mal kommen weder der Backofen noch die Waschmaschine funktionierten! In der ersten Nacht mussten wir mit offener Türe der Dachterasse schlafen, dementsprechend kalt war es im ganzen Haus! Die Badezimmertüre war ebenfalls kaputt. Eine Küche mit nur einer kleinen Pfanne und einem Topf auszustatten ist genau so lächerlich, wie der Preis pro Nacht! KEINESFALLS empfehle ich dieses Unternehmen.

Never ever use this company!
Can’t agree more than everyone else. One big scam company who take your deposite, relocate you to another apartment far from town without any information and doesn’t pick up the phone once you have left and paid the money.
Furthermore the apartment doesn’t look like the picture! They are in bad condition, the bath doesn’t work and so on.. I could say a looot of bad things about this company.
So please don’t rent anything from MySpace and make the same fault as we did.

Bad appartments plus deposit scam

The appartments itself are acceptably clean, but completely owrn down and broken. The promised rooftop pool was a disgusting green pod full of cigaret buts, windows were broken.

And also, like in the many other review they invented a reason why to keep the deposit.

Absolutely advise you to stay away!

Also mit abstand das schlechteste Appartement in dem ich war. Unser zimmer wurde umgebucht (auf einen mit balkon) obwohl ich das nie bezahlt hatte, wobei das die Grundvoraussetzung bei dem Whats-App link dafür war um so ein Zimmer zu bekommen. Obwohl wir ein Zimmer mit Terasse gebucht hatten hatten wir keines bekommen. Schlussendlich einigten wir uns für 200€ aufpreis für ein Zimmer mit „Balkon“. Dieser war 1,50 breit und kaum benutzbar. Zudem war das Zimmer auch eine reine Katastrophale Sache. Eine große Holzschiebetür war laut und kaum zu bewegen. Das sogenannte „Badezimmer“ war ja die größte Frechheit, am Eingang direkt die Dusche eingebaut wer macht Sowas ? Wenn sich jemand duschte stand das Bad unter wasser nachdem alles in einem Raum war. Ein Roter Fellteppich hinterließ auf allem Haare, das damit in Berührung kam. Ebenso mussten wir dem Team 2 Monate wegen der Kaution von 400€ hinterherlaufen.

I wish I could give less than a 1 star. This experience was a bait and switch. The apartment was in total disrepair - cigarette burns in and stains all over the carpet, holes in the wall, scratches all over the floors and walls, freezer was unusable because it was frosted over, I could go on and on. When I reported a broken/dangerous piece of stair to the management company, on our 1st day, they ignored me, and my son was, lo and behold, injured falling into it. They completely ignored my messages about it. The beds are worse than sleeping on the floor (we resorted to sleeping on the couches, it was so bad) and the linens and towels are threadbare. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. I've stayed at so many airbnbs and vacation rentals in my time and this was the absolute worst.
