I needed an urgent part

I needed an urgent part, this part was easy to find on the website which is great! I called and spoke to a lovely gentleman who was very helpful and friendly and he helped me to get the part on order via the website. My part was slightly delayed as can happen and they were kind enough to update me of this every step of the way which was a bonus! I highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them again in the future. Keep up the good work guys :

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. I was struggling to source some coals for a Magiglo fire (hard to find part number) by a specific date and the assistant I spoke to on the phone was so helpful. The coals arrived today - a day earlier than the deadline - which is amazing. So relieved and grateful! I have to say the website looks a bit “old school” but I found MyTub definitely delivers a first class service.

Amazing customer service

Despite me originally ordering the incorrect sink, Steve went above and beyond to ensure I then ordered the correct one. Double and tripling checking the measurements with myself and the manufacturer. Called me so many times, comms was amazing. Couldn’t recommend any higher. Every company needs a Steve!

Option to check delivery date before buying was way off the mark.

I ordered toilet seats for a hospital and used the 'check deliver date' option, which I thought was a good idea to get a more accurate timescale for delivery and I needed them quickly. Well, how pointless was that option in this case! The estimation was given as 3-5 days. After multiple delays, I finally cancelled the order when delivery estimation was increased again to 31 days!
At least there were some updates on delays.

Good work by MyTub

Thanks to My Tub I have been able to obtain two very scarce products to repair my central heating controls. Despite set backs from 3rd party suppliers, the goods were sourced and delivered in good time by My Tub. With my grateful thanks. ***** 5 stars to MyTub from a happy domestic customer.

Ripoff customer service

I made two calls to enquire about a product.
The first cost 54p - to be told that the number was no longer in use.
The second cost £3.66 - most of the time was spent waiting while the person I was speaking to was increasing the price of the product on the website as I was looking at it.
They won't be getting my custom.

Our 0844 number is charged at 7p per minuet, as stated at the bottom of each and every one of the 399,000 web pages on our site. May I suggest you aim your bile towards your phone provider, you might find it is they that are "ripping" you off.

As for price changes, during the last 2 years prices and availability change day to day across 380,000 product lines. I sincerely hope you find the part your looking for.

Beware of this company and its premium rate phone line.

This company is not trading in a helpful way. Items are listed on their website which they do not have in stock and have no means of sourcing, as other have advised. The stock check does not work on line instead it is an email system to which they do not reply. The live chat function also does not work and becomes an email function. In the end you end up calling the 0844 number which is a premium rate number and holding for ages while they rack up their profits, as they set the charges for the phone call and benefit directly from you holding on the line. Conversely ring the 0191 number and it is sometimes answered. When questioned about the item which they do not have in stock I was told it was an old listing and has not been checked. When I asked nicely about why they trade in this manner they hung up the phone. If the MD rings me and harasses me about this post, like he has allegedly done to others, then I will politely tell about him my poor experience of his company but will not be changing my review as this is an honest review of a company that i believe others should be very warry off. Listing items which are not in stock when linked with delivery information makes you think you are ordering stock items but you are not. What this web site is purely an offer to buy something if My Tub can source it for you. With an obsolete part this is a waste of time. Having thought I had found the answer to my problem it transpires this website was just a waste of time and money. I wonder how much of the companies profits are made from the premium rate phone line?

You sent your lead time through 6.37pm last night, the office was closed.
You sent the second one through 10.03am this morning then phoned us 3 minutes later.
The extremely old, obsolete part you are looking for has been on our website for 10+ years.
On a very quick manual check whilst you where on the phone, there was no stock left of it, unfortunately.

Terribly sorry that this should cause you so much distress.

Selling items with zero stock

Ordered spares last year but they emailed and said sorry, parts not in stock and refunded the order. A year later, tried to order again, web site allows the order as if they were in stock, but I should have learned - they are displaying items on their site that they have no intention of stocking. Appalling waste of my time. NOT happy
After leaving the above review, I was called by their angry MD , who harangued me for 10 minutes before saying sorry, with comments like “show me where it says its in stock”. Well the “stock check” on the web site didn’t work during Christmas hols – it just brought up a message saying “Orders will be processed after Jan 4th” – I am used to web sites displaying “add to order” or “not in stock”.
Like the other review titled “Be wary of leaving any negative feedback” I am also changing the rating from 1 to 3 as I also do not want haranguing telephone calls from the MD. If the web site had given ANY indication that the items were not in stock I would not have sent the review. If the stock check option had worked (as it does now) I would have realised that the items were not in stock. Other reviews of this site seem good, and if the call I received had been pleasant, apologetic and understanding I would have withdrawn the review or maybe given them 4*.

As per our phone call regarding your 1* review. The parts you ordered are not available at any old shop, plumbers merchant nor local B&Q. Some of the stock is also not stocked with the manufactures John Guest. We also tried secondary suppliers Wolseley who also do not have all the stock you require.
Our site which lists 380,000+ lines does not state anything is in stock, we encourage customers to check first before buying with a check stock link directly and clearly above the add to cart button.
We do our upmost to help customers get what is rare, obsolete, obscure and parts some companies will not even bother to try and obtain.
So yes, I am never happy to be slapped in the face for doing what we do.
You placed the order during Xmas shut down, no money was transferred to our bank, your order was canceled when the office reopened.
I am sorry we have caused you great upset and I assure you this is not the purpose of our business. We wish you the best of luck obtaining your list of parts. Like I recommended on the phone to you, PTS and City Plumbing will be worth a try.

Be wary of leaving any negative feedback

I ordered a soft close toilet seat from MyTub. The stated delivery date changed 5 times and when it eventually arrived was damaged. I rang the company and they arranged a replacement - but I found out later that the call to them was charged at a premium rate. I received the replacement nearly 4 weeks after my initial order. I posted this review on here which the MD took exception to and argued that there was nothing more they could do. I suggested ringing customers rather than just emailing them with constantly changing delivery dates and not having a premium rate telephone number. I have changed my rating to 3* as a result from a 1* as I no longer wanted haranguing telephone calls from the MD.

As per our telephone call, thank you for confirming that it was indeed your telephone company and not MyTub that had charged you £1 per minute for our 7p per minute call. I do hope you take that up with them publicly. Whilst we invite feedback I was taken slightly aback at your suggestion that you would remove your 1* review if we removed our 16 year old company phone number.

As for the very regular updates we provide our customers, good or bad. We are not the manufactures, and can only relay the news we are given as we chase them for the goods you have ordered. Half the worlds workforce have not been at work for the last 18 months+ due to the pandemic. This may have contributed to the delay of getting the specific none stocked toilet seat which is only available from The Eastbrook Co to you.

Obviously the first seat being delivered broken within the box is not what we expect and did not help in getting the seat to you ASAP.

Premium rate telephone number

Tried calling for stock advice. No answer and then hit with premium rate bill ( no notification on site) Joke. Do not call this company unless you want to pay for the privilege of waiting.

They claim that a notice appears on every page. If you search for it it with a microscope it appears in tiny tiny text at the very bottom of each long page. Nothing with the main contact us details and nothing next to the main number at the top. If they feel this is acceptable that speaks volumes.

There is a notification on each and every page of our website. There is also a geographical number on our contact us page.
We also have a live chat service.
We are a very busy office and should you not get an answer on the telephone within one minute please hang up, try again later or email us or live chat.

I did not wait in vain !!

I have searched for many months for a pedestal for a sink we got in a shop clearance. Many companies took the order, took my money, then weeks later said they could not find the product - not My-Tub! Despite delays and problems with delivery they kept in touch and it arrived yesterday - fantastic team from order to eventual delivery from local company who phoned and told me where the pedestal had been left , great all round communication which means the wait was easy ! thanks so much !

My Tub was one of only two UK suppliers of a rather obscure product.
No photo, But with the the manufacturers reference I was Happy to order.
They even contacted me due to postage costs direct from manufacturer in case I hadn't see it.
Brilliant company will always search their site from now.Arrived as promised.Just as ordered.

A rubbish service. It isn't even MYTUB that provide the service, it was Wolseley. This is just a facilitation company. Others actually provide the service.

Dear John Mathia of Your Boiler Service, Cornwall.

Due to the pandemic in the last 8 months stock of Twyford, Ideal Standard and Armitage Shanks has been rightly prioritised by the manufactures for Hospitals, Care homes and Research Facilities only. It is only recently these manufactures have released what very little stock they have left for domestic use.

Wolseley were the only company with stock available to supply your Ideal Standard basin. Whilst we apologised at the time that this did not go smoothly at all due to incorrect labelling and a manufacturing fault, we rectified this in a timely fashion.

Excellent service

My Tub were able to quickly supply an obsolete gas boiler part, I had previously tried 3 other suppliers who claimed to stock the part, all of whom were unable supply it when it came to it. My Tub were able to deliver it quickly and at a competitive price - excellent service.
