Nowhere else could I get the 9 seater for this price , very good price , the vehicle did it’s job, got my family to where we needed to be , a warning light did come up intermittently , when I reported this back they did say it had just come back from an engine rebuild, But genuinely I can’t complain for the price I paid , it did the job, got us there and back again, everywhere else wanted 500 pound plus for a 9 seater.. definitely would use their services again .

Absolutely fantastic company to deal with. Respond very quickly to queries and the staff were very helpful. Car was lovely (Aygo 5 door auto) and very very clean. Prices are also excellent. I will definitely use them again and I recommend them.

We've hired 3 cars from Number One Car and Van Hire. Each time it has been fairly last minute. The process has always been really quick and easy with friendly staff and the cars have always been spotless! Thank you!

At £68/day. Cannot complain however the van seats could have been cleaner.

Rented a van as was a good price and as a family we have used number one on occasion over the years and recommended to others. However my recent experience was appalling from start to finish. When we arrived we had no good morning or friendly welcome. The 2 female ladies in the office were extremely rude and told us to wait outside, after 10 minutes I asked what was going on and I was told ‘She’s on the phone you’ll have to wait’ we weren’t explained any of the process and left feeling unhappy. We drove the van 1 minute down the road, after we had packed up all of our things the van wouldn’t start and had a flat battery ! We then phoned in and had a rude reception. I asked if the van was jump started before it was given to us and I had a very rude remark back, almost insulting!! Moving house is extremely stressful without the added stress of this. Will never be returning and will spread this experience!

I would however just like to add that the one thing that was right was the gentlemen who appraised the van before and after. Better customer service than the advisors!

Excellent car hire company, used as a recommendation and were very impressed - very professional, with easy communication, can see why people use and recommend this company. Always use Number One, even though I now live in Caterham 9 miles away. Unbeatable value, great service. This weekend, when returning the hired van, I left my own car keys at home. Geoff let me use one of h8s cars for the 18 mile round trip - NO CHARGE. TOP MAN; TOP COMPANY: Saved the day

Quick & convenient service, competitively priced!

First time I've used the company and was extremely impressed with the service. They were really helpful with the need to change the hire date after making my initial booking and on the day the service was everything you wish for - polite, efficient staff and a good vehicle. A much better experience than I've had hiring through bigger companies - and at a better price. I will be using them again and I would highly recommend to anyone.
