Very special package

I used pack and send to transport a very special package from Adelaide to Queensland. The ordering online was very straightforward, the pick up and drop off were excellent, the package arrived safely and the cost was excellent. I would definitely use again.

Several issues

Several issues. This was a recipient organised delivery. The online forms were clunky & unclear in this regard, & the recipient had to send the pickup forms to the person packing the item. (Much better if the recipient could simply provide the "packers" email). In addition, delivery firm's contact advice seemed to think i was both the pickup person & the receiver. Also provide delivery firm's name prior to paying to give me option of declining.... have had poor experience with the firm you appointed.

As this shipment was arranged through an Online Self Service booking, some of the communication and documentation is generated automatically based on the details entered during the booking process. Carrier allocation is also automated and selected based on the service booked and shipment requirements, rather than being chosen individually prior to payment. bad experience with using online sending and items sent completely destroyed

This is an updated review after I received a response from Pack and Send customer service.
In April I sent a fragile package through the Pack and send on line store thinking that i was going through a local depot. I had used this service before, as had friends and had no issues. On this occasion they failed at all levels after pick-up. The fragile items were wrapped well in bubble wrap, placed in a box with all gaps filled with bubble wrap and then placed in a second packing box which was clearly marked all over as containing fragile items.
The box arrived at the receiving depot in WA a week after dispatch but the tracking did not update. a few weeks later I contacted the recipient who then picked up the box from the depot. The WA depot could not explain why it had sat there for 3 weeks without contact to the recipient or sender. I contacted my local depot about the delay and they said it was a WA problem . When the box was opened, every fragile item was in many pieces. The local depot did not return my calls or I would have known that I had not gone through them as I first thought.

After the response from Pack and Send cusomer service to my original trust pilot review. I sent them a full timeline and actions taken and they responded quickly to say that I had used the online service so they could take no responsibility for the breakages but would follow up on processes.

It does not negate the facts. that if the local depot had returned my two calls I would have realised the situation better, the WA depot did not do their job and that my shipment was destroyed but I was not entitled to any compensation because I took responsibility online.
So the lesson learned is to be very very careful when using the online facility that you understand what it involves, deliver parcel/boxes to the local depot unsealed so that they can verify it is properly packed (take photos if it contains fragile items) and follow up any delays immediately. I am not sure if I will use them again but if I do it will only be through the local depot.

Make sure your online retailer is not using this company

Useless bunch of staff now they don't even want to listen to a disabled person who can't get down to the pack and send and is abusive on the phone and won't listen. Stay clear of these crooks

As a HUBBED collection point, our role is limited to holding parcels on behalf of third-party carriers, and we are unable to control the carrier's processes or decisions regarding a parcel.
We understand that these situations can be frustrating. Our team made every effort to identify your parcel and provide assistance based on the information available. However, we do not accept abusive or aggressive behaviour towards our staff under any circumstances. Easy, cost effective and quick

Process was easy. Extremely cost effective. And parcel was delivered very quickly. I was a little hesitant about using an online service but having a drop off point and shop front in my regional town made me feel better!

Pack&Send were amazing

Pack&Send were amazing, they got back to me very quickly from my online enquiry. They were so helpful and professional.
My large packages were collected the same day and delivered interstate by the next day.
Very happy with their service and would highly recommend them.

Very bad experience with PACK & SEND

Very disappointing experience with PACK & SEND.

We booked a pickup while relocating from Perth to Adelaide. On the scheduled day, nobody came to collect our boxes and we could not reach anyone by phone. The following day, we were told the pickup had been missed due to a public holiday in Melbourne (but there was no public holiday in Perth), and a new pickup was arranged for the day of our flight.

After waiting for hours, we received an email claiming that we had missed the pickup. PACK & SEND stated that the driver had attended but could not contact us. However, we were home the entire time and no one called, rang the doorbell, or knocked on the door.

We were then told to take the boxes to their depot ourselves, despite having paid for a pickup service. With a flight to catch that evening, we had no choice but to spend an additional $68 on an Uber to transport the boxes to the depot. The situation caused significant stress and nearly resulted in us missing our flight.

In the end, we paid for a service that was never properly provided, incurred additional costs, and received no meaningful resolution. Poor communication, unreliable service, and a complete lack of accountability. I would not recommend PACK & SEND based on my experience.

As this was an Online Self Service booking, the shipment was not managed by the PACK & SEND West Perth service centre. We believe this review may have been posted to the West Perth page in error, as the team there was not involved in the booking or pickup arrangements. In reviewing the pickup history, we understand that the carrier attended the collection address on multiple occasions and reported difficulties accessing the property due to issues with the building's intercom system. We have also been advised that attendance was recorded at the location during these attempts. We appreciate that the overall experience was frustrating and acknowledge the inconvenience caused, particularly during a relocation. Vintage fragile mirror safe and sound!

I used Pack & Send to get an art deco mirror packed ready for the plane back to the UK. Fragile, odd shaped, old and one of a kind I'd explored various ways and other companies who were either way over priced and/or not up to the task. The person on the front desk was so helpful and friendly, she managed to get it packed super securely in only two days in between Xmas and NY. She also video'd it being packed in all the layers - super impressive and it survived the flight back to the UK better than ever! Thankyou so much, if ever I need to get back something weird I can't live without back on the plane I will be sure to come to you first :)

Fast and efficient transport

I used Pack and Send Capalaba QLD to send a large box of my daughter’s memorabilia to Geelong VIC. Michael was extremely helpful, courteous and efficient, helping me with the packing. It arrived in three days. Strongly recommend.

Good experience overall / Marion store was short-staffed

Good experience overall, great price and shipping pace. Received manual SMSs after packages arrived. Missing one start only because Adelaide stores are poorly staffed. There was only one staff at Marion store and he was extremely hectic, apparently everything was handled by him. So can't really blame him for Marion store was still unstaffed by 9 am, although it is supposed to open at 8:30 am!

Disgrace of a company

Disappointed in service. Lied to multiple times. Couriers lied about picking up my package and only confessed once camera footage was provided. Struggled to convince the office that they picked it up even after showing camera footage. Still yet to receive item as they said they have made an attempted delivery now yet I’ve been home all day. Never using again wouldn’t trust these guys. Adding on to that they laughed at me on phone when I said I would get police involved with they’re driver as he confirmed he never picked up item, this was before camera footage was provided.

Poor service, damaged item, no insurance claim

Very expensive cost including insurance, painting arrives damaged, they request quote to repair, I go out and get quote, they ghost me for 6 weeks not responding to 4 e-mails and then write me saying "it would be difficult to submit a claim." Beware here, poor packaging and charge for insurance but may not actually get insurance as if you need it, it is not available,

Great service, but the tracking system needs an update

Everything went well with the delivery itself. My only complaint is that the tracker predicted a Friday arrival, but the package only came on Monday. Once I called, the staff was helpful and confirmed the delivery. If the tracking system were more reliable, it would be a perfect 5-star service.
