Pc Refresh: een aanrader
Goede logistiek, snel onderzoek, duidelijke analyse, goede uitleg via telefoon. Jammer dat reparatie niet echt zinvol was. Toch bedankt.

Mijn PC reparatie
Je kon de PC makkelijk op het afleverpunt afgeven met een afleverbewijs. Je werd geïnformeerd over de gebreken en hoe die waren op te lossen en wat de prijs daarvan was. Het contact was uitstekend en makelijk. Het resultaat is heel goed.

I bought a refurbished HP desktop from…
I bought a refurbished HP desktop from PC refresh and had a minor problem. I contacted them as soon as the problem appeared (intermittent monitor) and they guided me through all the possible tests to narrow down the problem. In the end, they replaced the monitor. Unfortunately the maximum number of stars is 5, otherwise I would have offered them a much higher review.

Goed geholpen
Via google bij PCRefesch terecht gekomen, via mail snel antwoord gekregen, Vlotte service en ook telefonisch goede uitleg gekregen. Zeer aan te bevelen als je ergens een probleem mee hebt.

AVOID: Intimidation, poor communication, bad pricing
I sent in my Asus Zenbook OLED 14 for repair, clearly explaining upfront that I suspected water damage at the USB-C port causing corrosion on the motherboard. I gave them the exact issue before they ever touched the laptop.
They e-mailed confirming I wanted to be "offered a repair after inspection/diagnostics", and I accepted: thinking it included an attempted repair since the fee was €180. It didn't even cross my mind they wouldn't attempt repair because I had provided the issue on submission, and diagnostics constitutes less than 15 minutes of labour.
It flew over my head that these scam artists might ask for ≈€720/hr for "their expertise" diagnosing the issue.
A day later I receive diagnostics: and they confirm what I told them, corrosion of the port and corrosion of the motherboard. No new information offered. They then offer to repair my laptop for €799. The laptop is worth €600 working...
So if you're still following, they have now charged me €179 for the right to pay €799 to repair a laptop worth €600.
So I rightfully complain about the value of my €180 diagnostics fee. In response, they try to intimidate me with terms such as "NVMe SSD", "flux" (yes, I couldn't believe it either, we are not in Back to the Future), "impedance" and even go as far as to say they checked the speakers of the laptop. Having a background in repairing and building PC's, these terms didn't fly over my head: and I could see what they were trying to do. The average consumer would be intimidated.
Here’s the truth:
They added zero new information.
They charged €180 anyway.
They offered a nonsense reparation fee no one would ever pay.
And when questioned, they threw jargon around to intimidate me and shut down criticism.
After a long email chain, I ended up paying simply because starting a legal case takes too much time and energy — and I’m sure that’s exactly what they rely on.
My conclusion: this service experience feels predatory, overpriced, and deliberately misleading. Avoid them. Find a local repair shop instead and save yourself the money and aggravation.
