Excellent sales service
Ashton was my sales person. From start to finish he has been amazing. Very knowledgable and extremely respectful. Will come back for my next car as long as Ashton can be my sales person. Would highly recommend him
I recently bought a nearly new jaguar…
I recently bought a nearly new jaguar from Vauxhall derby, unfortunately it broke down a few weeks after purchase, fact of life cars break! This is where the dealership stood up and helped. Straight away given a curtesy vehicle. I had already been received from the RAC as part of the package when buying the car. As soon as the service manager learnt of my breakdown he arrange a more like for like curtesy car until mine was fixed. Although the warranty company took a little longer than I would have liked. Ashley the service manager kept me informed daily on progress and personally returned my vehicle to me once fixed at zero cost to myself. It’s so important to take warranty out if able too and it’s reassuring at how good the after service was from the service team at Vauxhall Derby that I will look to use them again in the future
Pentagon jaecoo dealer sales person…
Pentagon jaecoo dealer sales person liam, cannot be trusted, thru out my sale he lied about a jaecoo 5, being awd, and i also waited upto 3 month when i was told would get it with in 4-6 weeks, i kept on going in and asking and same lies, in the end cancelled the order, i wanted to complaint to head office but no one got back to me… please be aware off salespeople just wanting to meet goal and would say anything to get you to sign. And when you want answers no one gets back to you
Wish I could leave a zero star rating
Absolutely shocking experience with Vauxhall Sheffield – I would strongly recommend avoiding this dealership.
I purchased a car in April 2025 and have had continuous faults from day one, mainly with the keyless system not working and the car failing to detect the keys. This has never been properly resolved despite multiple visits.
The issues have been serious and unacceptable. I’ve had situations where the car wouldn’t turn off because it couldn’t detect the key, and more recently the car wouldn’t start at all, displayed multiple warning lights, reset the clock, and wouldn’t switch off or lock — leaving me stranded and extremely distressed.
Each time the car has gone in, I’ve either had to chase for updates or been told “no fault found” simply because the issue didn’t happen while they had it. That is not an acceptable response to an ongoing fault that has been clearly demonstrated multiple times.
The level of customer service has been just as bad as the vehicle issues. Communication is poor, calls are not returned, and I’ve repeatedly had to do all the chasing myself. Booking the car in is a struggle, with long delays just to get a courtesy car. On one visit, despite being assured everything was arranged, there was no courtesy car available when I arrived. I even witnessed another customer’s booking being cancelled so I could be given their vehicle — which says a lot about how disorganised things are.
Although some individual staff tried to help, the overall experience has been chaotic, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. Even after replacing both keys, the problems still persist.
I have completely lost confidence in both the car and this dealership. This has been an ongoing issue for nearly a year with no proper resolution.
Avoid if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.
Wish i could give the Sheffield branch zero star after 11 months of hell.
A Circus
Having found the car I wanted on the Pentagon website, I called the Lincoln dealership; I got an answering machine and left my details asking for a call back; a fortnight later, I'm still waiting.
Called the "National Sales Line" number included in the slide show for the vehicle and got a recorded message asking me which programme I'd watched and when it was transmitted. WTF?
I decided to reserve the vehicle online and got an automated email reply promising a call from the Lincoln sales team; again, I'm still waiting.
Called the "National Sales Line" number provided in their email and got another recorded message, this time confirming that the number was for Vauxhall but no longer in use.
In the meantime I looked on the Pentagon website to find out about 0% finance; the link is dead and the site responds with "404 Page Not Found".
I gave up trying to deal with Pentagon online and went in to my local (Oldham) dealership to talk to someone in person. Their sales rep Barry was fantastically helpful and got everything sorted for me without any hassle. This guy should be in head office teaching them how to run a car dealership instead of a circus.
Now I'm getting a barrage of emails telling me to "get in touch if I need anything". As I wanted some accessories I did just that and was told someone would call me back. Three guesses how that went...
Pentagon Derby - waste of time and money.
Saw a Corsa advertised on Autotrader. Liked the price - rang number to reserve it. Helpful chap reserved it for me for £99.
Received phone call next day from Pentagon Derby to say that the price was wrong and that they couldn't do finance on a new vehicle- they blamed Autotrader. However, they had other cars in stock. I asked whether other cars had same dealer discount. If not, I wasn't interested. Salesman put me on to manager who encouraged me to drive up to Derby (c. 30 miles away) as they would "look after me" because of mistake in advert. Drove up to Derby - salesman showed me Pentagon website which had exactly the same advert! Blamed internal mistake. No attempt to "look after me" at all! No discount, nothing. I left, disgruntled at 60 mile wasted round trip.
Now discovered 3 weeks later £8.96 bill on my phone for ringing 0845 number to reserve the car in the first place!
What an utter waste of time and money.
£145 Charge to plug in a diagnostic computer - REALLY
One of our crew vans had a recall notice so we booked it in to Pentagon, at the same time a Engine Management light had come on so upon dropping the vehicle off at Pentagon we asked for them to check what the Engine Management light was for.
Pentagon Vauxhall are ripping customers off by asking for £145 just to plug a computer into the vehicle plug for a "Computer" to diagnose a fault within seconds - told Pentagon not to bother and upon the vehicle being ready to collect after the recall update we
took the vehicle to a commercial mechanic we also use who plugged in the Computer FREE OF CHARGE who then informed me the EGR Valve needs replacing, gave the mechanic my business for the replacement of the EGR Valve and any further work our commercial vehicles require. Took 2 Minutes to diagnose the fault and Pentagon try to justify £145.
Trying to book a service
For two days I have been trying to book a service at Pentagon Lincoln Vauxhall.
Four chats with the cat system, four phone calls, an e mail, an attempt to speak to a manager of which they clearly don't exist.
Still nobody has bothered to contact me.
I should have checked the reviews first as clearly they have issues.
2023 car purchased
2023 car purchased. Suspension issues found on drive home. Pentagon and warranty of no help. Customer service just avoid communication to resolve issue.
Would not purchase from Pentagon again. Buyers beware.
no wonder this company has bad reviews…

I brought a car from pentagon loughbrough
I brought a car from pentagon loughbrough October last year, sales person seemed really nice and helpful at the time. After having the car for just under 3 months it broke down and had to be towed back home due to a coolant leak and exhaust gasses in the coolant system. Rang up pentagon loughbrough and they said I could book the car in for a months time as they had no availability. A month!!!!! I have 2 small children and need my car for work purposes and taking my daughter to Birmingham Childrens hospital. I finally got the car towed to pentagon and they did a full health check on it, on doing the health check it turned out it needed a full new coolant system, a drive shaft, new exhaust, new cam housing, new N/S/F driveshaft oil seal, new O/S/F driveshaft oil seal! Costing over £2800 for all the work to be done!! Luckily I went through extended warranty which payed for majority of it! The funny thing was it had a previous mot before the one they did stating it needed a new exhaust which the sales person said had been done! (Obviously it wasn’t done)… and due to it being a wear and tear item I had to fund the parts & pentagon payed to fix it! I know car parts can wear out over time but I had not even drove the car 1000 miles, so it’s extremely doubtful it had all gone from since I’d purchased the car! After having all this work done I thought it would be fine for abit but obviously not, the clutch and fly wheel then went and costed me over £1100 to get this done and then the suspension went too costing me £200 I’ve been driving now for over 12 years and have never had to replace a clutch on any past vehicles I’ve had, again I know things wear out over time but this really did take the **** that I had only had the car for a short period of time and during this time I had practically payed to rebuild the car! . I went to pentagon loughbrough as it was my first ever car on finance and honestly thought they would sell me a decent car that wouldn’t need thousands of pounds of work done on it in such a short period of time. I have now truly lost faith in pentagon loughbrough. The car I brought was only 6 years old and and it’s save to say I will definitely be staying away from them in the future! The car has also been recalled for its air bags.
I telephoned Pentagon today as I am…
I telephoned Pentagon today as I am trying to get my vans back as the engines both need replacing under warranty, but they tell me that they cannot repair them as Vauxhall haven’t given them the go ahead yet. The vans have been with them for 7 weeks and they have promised them back twice over that period.
I spoke to Giga at Vauxhall Customer Service (VCS) who told me that they have technical issues but he would look into it and phone me back – he didn’t. I phoned again and spoke to Alec who has told me that VCS do not have any record of this case, and had no idea why VCS are withholding permission for Pentagon to fix my vehicles. Next day I spoke to Zeinabi who says they (VCS) are waiting for Pentagon to call them but they would contact me when they have some information, but as they never do I asked to speak to a manager. I was told that managers do not speak to customers, so I would have to wait until they called me.
I have now been without my vans which cost nearly £60,000 for 7 weeks and no one can tell me when I might get them back, if at all.
When I phone Pentagon, I get passed around and then put through to an answerphone. They don’t phone me back and do not answer emails, so I have given up leaving a message.
I asked to speak to a manager at Pentagon but was told there wasn’t one available, so I asked who I should speak to at Vauxhall, i.e. who was holding this up, but they didn’t know, it was the warranty department who talked to Vauxhall, so I asked to speak to the warranty department – they won’t talk to customers.
I have been in business for 30 years now and have never, not ever, been treated as badly as this. Their customer service is quite frankly diabolical, it’s no wonder the British car industry died.
I'm still waiting, and paying for hire vans.
Two weeks go by, still not answering phone and not returning messages.

Purchased our Grandland in 2022 a 70 plate. At first we thought the salesman was brill, took us on a test drive everything seemed perfect. We were looking for an automatic for the first time as my arthritis was getting worse. Our issue it was a diesel car, no problems he kept saying it’s all covered now with Adblu and the car will tell you when you need to fill up. Yeh but you hear these horror stories - all sorted like he kept saying just add Adblu. He asked us the mileage we did and we told him it will only be used for work, roughly 20miles a day and the odd journey to Scotland to see my parents. No mention of “running the vehicle”
On the day of collection Dan pushed papers in front of us and (stupidly) we signed, thinking it was handover etc. note to others do not sign even if you think they’re great without reading everything! One of the forms was a DPF Disclaimer stating they had thoroughly talked us through this - I say bullshit he never not once mentioned this. We had our car serviced twice at Mansfield, a major and a routine. Twice we mentioned the oil dip stick seems clogged, on collection just need some Adblu, strange car didn’t alert us! We our purchased the car for over £18k the engine lights, fault lights all came on (June) 3 diagnostics tests, finally need car in, might be injectors etc, on day we were told that they will strip the injectors out and send them off to be checked probs be 4/5 days before we know how bad, rough cost, hopefully £500 but could be £2k anything covered in warranty, NO! Next day to our surprise we received a call from service reception stating it need 4 new injectors and DPF unit, cost 2k-6k but they’re hoping injectors on warranty! We had no choice it had to be done. When we dropped car off we spoke to our original salesman he offered without the repairs £7k with repairs £10k he asked us to remind him of our mileage, you’d be better off with an electric car on that mileage, seriously you didn’t say that 18 months ago! Repairs went ahead, on collection, injectors covered by warranty, Vauxhall gave us 30% discount on parts and we ended with a bill just under £2k. We took our complaint to the ombudsman who unfortunately sided with dealership as we had signed the disclaimer. Didn’t know we had, was lied to by salesman and long story short it’s been a hard lesson. We sold the Vauxhall for £10.2, 2 years after buying it. We will never ever trust a salesman or buy a Vauxhall. Shame on him
Pentagon Loughboroug
Purchased a 6 month old car that I'd seen online, with only 1400 miles, arranging delivery following a video look over. During the video Kiam stated that the car was immaculate, with no damage whatsoever, as expected of a car this age.
Unfortunately on arrival there was a scuffed bumper, paint chips around the charging port and light scratches all over the tailgate.
Having raised this with Kiam, he said he didn't see this when checking it over, but checking paperwork he could see it was on their condition report. However there was nothing they could do as they thought I'd paid a good price.
My advice would be to not buy from this dealership without seeing the car in person, as videos and pictures can easily disguise any damage and they can't be relied upon to point out or tidy up any damage
I was using Pentagon Loughborough…
I was using Pentagon Loughborough having a bad experience with Drive Vauxhall Leicester…. I booked in for a service and requested a courtesy car, £24 for insurance I was quoted, that equates to £8760 a year let alone I only needed it for a few hours…..,
Real service is a thing of the past I’ll go elsewhere.
When will these people understand customer service, this is rip the customer off service.
Their loss.
Buyer beware of dirty used car salesmen…
Buyer beware of dirty used car salesmen and a attitude of it’s your fault, I purchased a 2020 approved used Mercedes b class from derby main Vauxhall and byd dealership without a test drive as the car was with no mot, I received a video of the vehicle from the salesman by email telling myself how lovely the car was.
I said after a phone call that I’d purchase and would collect after the the car was mot’d the following Saturday, on reaching the dealership I was sat down with a coffee while waiting for the salesman vick to be free, I was then taken to his desk and payment was taken for £17750 and vick then signed paperwork on my phone and I had not been offered to see the car, after payment it was shown the car with with vick putting in the sat nav my home address so we are talking minutes…… parked up hill in the shade. The following day I noticed a poor repair to the off side driver’s door where a dent has been poorly manipulated from the inside of the body, after speaking to vick who then passed the matter onto the manager Tom brown who then told me that he was not going to do nothing……. While admitting that a repair had been done but impact bars may be restricting the repair and it’s apparently my fault as he would inspect a vehicle roughly….. oh yes you are a car salesman and not a trusting person with a so say 100 point check which the sheet includes bodywork but also has tyre depths on the sheet but not recorded either!!!!! So it’s just a tick box sheet and means nothing, to top it all I was given a v5 to change the class from mobility to petrol car with a £25 cost ….. would I recommend pentagon derby? Buyer beware and no . Haydn Lester

I booked my car in for an indepth check…
I booked my car in for an indepth check up because of certain problems I was having . This at Sheffield pentagon. I dropped my car off at 9am like asked. I was told to pick it up before 5pm. I arrived at 4.30 to f8nd my car hadn't been moved from the parking bay I left it in at 9am. When I asked what was happening with it I was told they were working on it as we speak. Strange I replied as it's parked just there where I left it .. the reception then made a phone call to ask and within 3 minutes a guy came and moved it. After half an hour they told me they found nothing wrong except a possible DPF filter problem. Non of the problems I pointed out when I confirmed my appointment on line were even looked at. The leak of water, the high temp reading the stalling at low revs the rear washer not working ect. Most problems they attributed to a faulty DPF filter, Total waste of time going to a main dealership expecting professionalism. I will never buy another Vauxhall or waste money on a health check. I must admit they didn't charge me because of the stink I kicked up in the showroom.
