Usually a good experience - except when it is unsafe and ignored
Usually a good experience.
However, there was one incident when a driver did now show up, communicated incorrect information, refused to answer their phone, and left me stranded in a rural area by a highway they asked me to go to. Poparide did not provide a report on what happened or provide any information on what would be done to ensure safety in the future - instead, they blocked me from the app when I asked questions.
I think that issues like this need not only to be published on sites like this, but also have options for regulator intervention - without fear for retaliation.

Ease of use
I have been using the app for over 3 years now and it is safe and easy to use. Their customer service is also very great. I had an issue once where the driver left before the scheduled time of the ride. I reported it and they responded promptly and I got refunded right away. I always recommend the app to my family and friends.

C’est la première fois que j’expérimente le covoiturage. J’adore. Les systèmes de paiement sont secure de sorte à ce que les paiements ne se doublent par inadvertance. C’est facile de voyager et en plus les prix sont vraiment abordables. Ça me permettra de voyager plus souvent .Merci d’exister 😊

I had cancelled a ride because of an…
I had cancelled a ride because of an emergency. And they refunded half of the ride because it was last minute but it has been over 10 business days and I’ve still not received the refund. It was refunded on February 1st and it is now the 21st. They don’t refund the rides. Beware. If the ride goes according to plan then it all goes well. But if you have an emergency then you are screwed

Regarding your refund, once we process it, the funds are immediately released on our end. From there, these are handled by your bank or credit card provider, and processing times may vary. If you’d like us to share the transaction details so you can follow up directly with your bank, kindly send us a message through our primary support channel, and we’ll be happy to help!
Honest review from a Brazilian
When I was living in Canada I used to employ Poparide as a passenger. My first trip was from Ottawa to Toronto with a kind French guy in a brand new Mercedes.
After that, I had several sucessful rides and I felt special as a costumer.
I'm writing this review to congratulate the poparide team and the drivers that make our trips affordable and fun.

Be ware of scammers asking for money out side of the app.
Book with users that have been verified & have reviews.

Really easy to use and trust worthy app. Rides themselves are a bit of a gamble in terms of comfort, but I think it’s a great travel alternative to trains and busses
