Untrustworthy and rude staff . They told me price incudes xrays but receptionist charged me extra stating that doctor made an error to say price for check up included xray .
For tooth extraction they refused to refer to nhs hospital forcing me to book an appointment with in 48 hours otherwise you will be charged automatically and said they want to try themselves first . Ovoid this dental practice at all cost .
Higher Authorities need to review code of practice of this dental practice . They must be bribing poor patients

Very rude and useless manager.
I called today to ask them to send my hospital letter to send it to my dentist to extract my tooth, instead of helping the manager shouted at me and treating me badly by hanging the phone on me. Very rude

Reception staff could be so much nicer (a smile wouldn’t go amiss) when some people go through a lot of anxiety just getting to the dentist!

Fresh Dental Smiles clinic in York was bought out by Portman Healthcare Ltd, trading under the name PortmanDentex York (and elsewhere as Portman Dental Care).

Like pretty much everyone, I have routine dental appointments arranged many months in advance. But apparently, PortmanDentex York didn't think it was important to notify me that my appointment had been cancelled. I turned up and the clinic was completely closed, and phone lines also closed.

I can only assume they didn't bother to keep track of such appointments during the acquisition/transition. I don't appreciate my time being wasted. We'll be finding a different dental care provider.

Absolutely awful. Don’t pay invoices. Have no idea proper records. Staff are rude and don’t respond.

This practice should be avoided at all costs, I was a private paying patient and paid the best part of £5k for my treatment and in all honesty they are not a high end practice I was treated by grant Harris at Horsham and he’s a pig of a man who bully’s he’s staff and doesn’t listen to a word that you say to him, he gives off a vibe that you know nothing and talks to you as if you are backward, they are nhs conveyor belt type place. They use locum independent practitioners and when something goes wrong they blame it all on the outsider even though I paid Portman they take no responsibility. They pretend to care but fob you off at every turn. Please take it from me and go else where for your treatment. The results were average and their attitudes atrocious

I used the Faringdon branch which is called Walker & Associates. The results of their dental work have not been good at all - I've had two different and expensive treatments with them - and I found the practice difficult to deal when I reported the problems to them. I ended up going to another dentist and losing the tooth entirely. Sad to say that I cannot recommend this practice.

The worst care and service. Their Orthodontic Therapist is literally the rudest person I have seen. And their Specialist Orthodontist Consultant is arrogant, doesn't know what manners are, trying to show his superiority at every visit. But the most important - does not care about patients. Find any other place for your children.

Trying to sell my NHS dental practice with Portman as agents [during a 18 month period] was definitely the worst experience of my life. They care for money only, not people.

I have belonged to Dart Vale Dental Care for a number of years, I had an appointment booked for October but when I turned up they just said that the appointment had been cancelled! No explanation as to why and they hadn’t phoned, texted or emailed me to notify me if this. The actual dentist I was supposed to see was actually in the surgery when I was there. The receptionist was less than friendly and as I am a nervous patient was not understanding at all.
I know that there is a shortage of nhs dentists but to be told it’s now either private or emergency appointments via triage is totally unacceptable.
I even had two meetings with the practice manager eventually after chasing I caught her in the Pure Dental surgery, she was supposed to ring me back but didn’t so I caught up with her again in Dart Vale surgery to be told that nothing could be done.
I now find out that Pure Dental is moving into Dart Vale Surgery on social media but my husband who is an nhs patient with them has not received z as my letter informing him of this.
I think that the Portman group need to be more respectful to their clients as they obviously knew if these problems a long time ago and could have warned their patients giving them more time to find another nhs dentist.

Appointment for 11am this morning at Laura Jones Dental cancelled at 8.30am. I had flown from England to NI for this appointment which they knew. Absolutely no empathy and a practice manager who was confrontational and aggressive from the start. Accused me of covering up details and being rude. I tried to explain that I was upset and distressed as she would be in my position and that I had fully disclosed when booking the appointment I now lived in England.

Burnham on sea college street. Absolutely disgusting. Giving informed consent,in there words "would be to time consuming" great now I'm left with huge dental bills as I was not giving any information before my procedure on risks etc. Avoid this place like the plague!!

Wouldn't bother with them very poor service since David Sawyer left. Gone down hill. Can't get appointments. Misdiagnosis. Poor customer treatment.
