PQA Aylesbury
This company sells franchises. My review specifically relates to PQA Aylesbury.
My child attended here for over 10yrs. Overall the experience when my child was younger was more positive although as a parent I noted that expectations and achievements were fairly low.
As my child got older they became aware, as did I, that there was acute favouritism applied to some children and there was a definite culture of not questioning or querying the principle over anything or your child would be negatively impacted. Parents warned me about this and they were proved right.
The quality of teaching varied enormously within the modules. My child was fortunate to have some good experiences but others significantly less so and this impacted my child's progression and enjoyment.
There were safeguarding concerns that when raised, were completely ignored by the principle and if you value your child's well-being this probably isn't the franchise for you.
Head office and the principle have a sound business model which is focused on the monetary bottom line only. There has been a recent change in principle so it is possible that things may change for the better however if you value your child's wellbeing and seek a creative outlet where they can develop and enjoy the experience, you may find a better alternative in seeking an independent performing arts school where children are put before profit, there are loads around!
