Very happy.

Radio took just over a week to arrive and I am very pleased with it. I have several pure radios already and have never had any issues with them. The reason for this purchase was I wanted an internet radio.I would definitely buy again in the future from pure audio.

Pure Misery

I bought a Pure Evoke Spot in October 2024, a Which? recommendation.
Nearly a year after purchase switching it on became problematic. The white power light would blink and then the radio would switch off rather than start up.
It soon ceased functioning altogether no matter what I tried.
Previously I have had a Chronos, an Elite Series 2 & an Elan Connect, all of which gave up the ghost within a year or so. These purchases represented a triumph of hope over experience, abetted by positive reviews, but I have finally learnt my lesson and will take my custom elsewhere in future.
Pure products seem to have a very low life expectancy.
As this latest buy was still under guarantee I emailed the company over two months ago but no reply has been forthcoming.
Bizarrely the website cited on the outer case and enclosed leaflet - pure.com - is actually that of a green juice business.

Bought a Classic radio approximately 7…

Bought a Classic radio approximately 7 months ago. Within a few weeks the display switched to a blue background with Pure written on it, radio stopped for 2 minutes then cam back on. This happens regularly. Occasionally the radio locks up, cannot be switched off or channel change. Only remedy switch off for a few minutes then on again. Posted a complaint on their website, no reply, tried again after two weeks, finally got an answer. "Reset to factory default and try again". Tried this, no difference. E-mailed back twice for response. Finally a reply arrived. Can I send the serial, model number version of software etc. This I did and no response. I complained by email, finally a responce came back. I asked why I was asked all these questions if nothing was going to happen?? They agreed to supply a replacement. This arrived after a few weeks. Tried radio, same fault. Emailed them, same responses came back. I suggested, I was not playing the same game again and I want it escalated to a manger or senior supervisor. Reply came back, acknowledging it had been escalated. After 9 weeks still waiting for a reply. Have submitted form again. This company are now owned and have been for a number of years by an Austrian Company called AVenture AT based in Kundl.This appears to be run by Christian Trapl. This is on public websites and so not clandestine. I guess they use off site customer services who have no affiliation to PURE. Such a shame as it was a good company to deal with back before the acquisition. Research may still be carried out in Watford, Hertfordshire, UK

Useless products sold by a useless company

Just ordered a H4i internet radio but the reception and lack of ability is ridiculous.

I've sent 3 emails now and no reply. I thought I'd phone them instead but there is no published phone number

what a totally useless coimpany, selling faulty products and then insulting their customers by not replying to emails.

Interestingly, this review will be sent to the same email address I've emailed. Lets see what gets replied to first!

Katastrophaler Service

Nicht lösungsorientiertes Unternehmen. Der Akku vom Pure DiscovR hielt nicht besonders lange. Support von Pure angeschrieben. Ich soll den Händler kontaktieren.

Pure Audio - Poor quality

I purchased a Pure Evoke H6 DAB radio from £160 in July 2021 with a 2 year warranty. Almost as soon as the warranty was up I started having problems with the digital display fading. Customer support was helpful but after a few months the issue returned. I was told it wasn’t economical to repair it but offered 50% discount on another radio. I haven’t bought another Pure DAB radio. At £160 I expect a radio to last many more years. It was a beautiful looking radio so very disappointed that it was so poorly made.

Pure Classic C-D6 Music System

Bought to replace a Pure DAB/CD that did not have DAB+. Soundwise as good as the original, but:

If you want this for bedroom use, the bright white display is way, way too bright at night - even on its lowest setting. The old one did not suffer like this, so I have had to stick a red gel over the display.

Poor design thought for those suffering from touch or feeling problems. If when using the dial function to select stations you push the knob down for a fraction too long it does a rescan and loses all your favourite stations. The scan button should not be so easy to accidentally operate. Possibly on the back of the case.

Otherwise, pleased with the purchase. Without the two problems it would have been a five star.

I phoned recently regarding a fault on…

I phoned recently regarding a fault on my Pure Siesta alarm clock radio, the agent took down all the details and told me he needed to speak to his tech department and would e mail me with the answer. I have not heard a word since and have bought a new radio, obviously not Pure. Very disappointed with lack of customer service.

Good customer support

I have bought two inexpensive digital radios from Pure and found their customer support excellent. One power adaptor broke (our fault) and a request for help produced an immediate response with a link to where it could be easily replaced.

Very very slow

Very very slow. Given this is a British company, I am not sure why everything is shipped from Germany and takes more than 2 weeks. A faulty product arrived after this slow delivery and I am still waiting for the replacement. This was ordered in mid December. Its mid February and I still have not got my Christmas present! Hope the wait is worth it for this rather expensive product - though cheaper on this site than high street retailers.
