Incredible service from Chrisharna Brown (Rattan Direct)

I damaged the seat of the new chair which had only arrived 2 days earlier .I placed a cutting disk machine on the seat which I inadvertantly started when I put it down and that cut through the raffia style stings that made the seat.I asked Rattand direct if I could buy a second chair on its own (they are sold in pairs) .While waiting for a reply I then asked if was possible just to buy the seat section becuase that was the only thing damaged .After sending some pictures of the damage to Chrisharna Brown (rattanddirect) she simply put a new seat in the post free of charge !!!.My chair is now fully repaired and looking great thanks to her .....5 stars Chrisharna for over and above customer service 🙏😊😁🍾

Missing Cover / Be wary of Trader.

Having purchased a side table in 2025 I’m still awaiting a cover that was missing from the box on delivery. I was informed by Customer Services that none were available as it was out of season and was promised a cover by Feb 2026. Unable to get contact as I see on website that company has changed trading status now so no cover issued. I would be very wary about purchasing from this business as multiple trading issues I can see? Always worrying when a company ceases and starts again in this way leaving customers dissatisfied.

Great customer service from Byron…

Great customer service from Byron Wessels when sorting out the issues we've had with missing, broken or damaged in transit part. Byron always takes my calls, listens to the feedback, asks useful questions and then comes up with sensible and timely solutions. I'm certain our issues will all be resolved with Byron on the case.

No customer service atall…

Table arrived with glass smashed inside box customer service dont answer phone or emails terrible service
Luckily paid with pay pal so hopefully they will help me would not recommend company

An overall positive experience

I was really happy with the furniture I purchased, the 6 piece was as described and excellent quality. There was a slight delay with the delivery but I was kept informed of this and the communication throughout was excellent.

The item arrived and was what I…

The item arrived and was what I believed it to be - sadly if I’d had the chance to sit on it first it’s unlikely I’d have bought it as it’s not as comfortable as I was hoping. The back cushions make the seat depth really small which was something I wasn’t expecting. I did see another set in B&Q that I wanted but it was sold out hence buying this one. So for me not great but others may like it

Very professional company

Great choice of furniture and we thought very reasonably priced.
I emailed the company to check delivery time as we were due to go away. Kelly replied very promptly and reassured us the furniture would arrive on time. Communication was excellent throughout with both Rattan and their couriers. We are so pleased with our outdoor sofa. Looking forward to some sunshine to sit on it!!

Constant delays for delivery

Placed an order for two seater sofa 4th March 2026. Delivery date was given for 14th to 22nd April. Received no delivery info from carrier. Contacted the RD company via email. Received a reply stating they had just taken delivery of the stock on 20th and l would receive it between 23rd April and 5th May! Heard nothing at all regarding a delivery from a carrier. Contacted the company by telephone today. Informed they are waiting for the stock to arrive between 15th to 28th May! I asked why l was given different information last week in a email. Told l was mis informed! Apologies were given but this seems to be endless, chasing the company for updates. Their website now states the new delivery in May. NOT what l was told when l ordered and what is stated on my order confirmation! The only reason l ordered from them was because the sofa and cushions match our dining set we got from them previously. Really annoyed!

Shoddy behaviour

Rattan Direct accepted an order from me in August 2025. After taking payment from my credit card, they told me they did not have the items in stock and were unable to fulfil the order. I was told that the items would be available in February 2026. I did not receive any notification that Rattan Direct had gone into administration. I chased the order in March, and have now been told that the new owners will not refund my money and will not fulfil my order (even though the website is still using the Rattan Direct name and is still offering the same items for sale).
Please don't bother with the standard reply telling me that you appreciate that this is frustrating and thanking me for my understanding. I consider it pretty shoddy really.

New owners, worse service.

I'm starting to get the garden ready for summer, and upon getting my Ascot furniture cushions out of the cellar I decided they could do with replacing. I couldn't see a replacement set on the website so I phoned customer services where I was told that cushions are no longer sold separately. Apparently there's new owners (ATM Retail) since January of this year and they have decided to only sell the full furniture sets. The customer service agent also wouldn't give me the name of their supplier in order that I could try and obtain a set directly as this was "private information", and she couldn't advise of any other retailers who might have cushions for sale. So beware, if you buy a new furniture set from Rattan Direct you will not be able to replace the cushions (or the glass table top, as I had to a couple of years ago under the old ownership). Very disappointed.
