I have never experienced so much stress and anxiety from such an incompetent company as REDKITE Bridgend. I had a straight forward question to ask yet I had to pay £150 for a short time spent with the family solicitor. All I wanted was a very simple Will written!, I saw the wills administrator (I have no intention of naming her but she knows who she is) and I was told to write exactly what I wanted, being on a very small pension I used the free will's charity system donating funds to a charity.
The meeting was not very friendly and I was not made to feel very comfortable or at ease, she was very matter of fact which boarded on rudeness the explanations were not very clear and both her and the Family solicitor contradicted each other leaving me even more confused than before I had started.
My will arrived and when I read it I found an additional name had been added and my Grand children omitted altogether then to add insult to injury I was sent a BILL!.
I phoned the office three times and each time I was told everyone was busy and someone would contact me which never happened eventually on the fourth call and explaining I had no intention of paying their bill did I then receive a call back, I was told I had been sent it by mistake and to disregard it (had I not realised and payed it would I have been refunded!!!!) I explained that I was far from happy and the whole fiasco was one big farce from start to finish and that I wished to cancel this and stop it going any further so that I could find a competent company capable of writing a will. I was told I would be contacted within the hour or possibly the following day.... I'M STIL WAITING!... I have now been contacted by someone from head office apologising.

Absolutely avoid this company at all costs. I've had the most stressful 5 months dealing with poor customer service and incompetence. There have been multiple errors that have cost me thousands of pounds and I will be taking this further.

Dursley office is poor, avoid!
communication is poor and replies to emails take weeks if not months. Then they don't even address concerns. I've been treated very poorly by this firm. My legal rights are ignored. They refuse to provide up to date accounts. Very poor solicitor indeed.

Lack of communication. Very expensive fees for simple work, do not trust them with the timing they spend, overcharging for nothing. Avoid

Redkite Stonehouse, very poor communication no responses to emails, calls etc. At the initial meeting the solicitor had not even read the will and was clueless. AVOID !.

A horrible experience when Redkite Stonehouse acted for my mother on a recent flat purchase, only exacerbated by their Ledbury office acting for the vendor. A cash purchase which really should have been done quickly and without fuss. No client care, poor communication, phones not answered, emails not replied to, constant unnecessary delays, no focus, no sense of urgency, insufficient partner supervision. When they actually needed to give some legal advice (right at the end of the transaction after months of delays) it was slow to appear, incomplete and of poor quality. And despite that, they issued an ultimatum: release us from all liability under the relevant statute or we will immediately cease acting for you. The purchase would have been lost. We had no choice. Shocking.

Could not be more unhelpful and incompetent.

We have used them for grant of probate. Communication to us was awful we had to chase constantly to get any information. They were slow to action anything and never responded to letters/emails etc. Gave excuses constantly for lack of action.
Bill was double what had been initially quoted with no explanation. Slow to pay back client funds.
Do not use them would be my recommmendation

First impressions matter tried Cirencester branch, looking for a new solicitor. Said would get someone to phone back, never happened. On trying to phone getting no reply. Not impressed

Been waiting 2 years for them to sort out a inheritance from a late family member rang twice to see what is going on but I don't think they now themselves seems like there taking longer to get more money for themselves out of the estate honestly this could of been dealt with through covid .

Made several phone phone calls to the stonehouse office to arrange to collection of my will and the deeds for my house.I rang to inform them on the morning that I was collecting them and yet they still had no idea when I made a specific journey to collect them.

Gemma Butland acted recently for us on our recent house purchase. From start to finish, Gemma was always contactable, friendly and very professional. Buying a home is always stressful, however this experience was smooth, calm and at the end rewarding. We cannot thank Gemma for all her hard work for us to enjoy our new family home.

I used Red Kite (Brecon office) for my conveyancing, and the first Lawyer was very good, but he left around the completion of my purchase. But since then (Dec 2020) Red Kite have been appallingly incompetent. No response despite repeated messages and telephone calls, poor administration, poor communication and follow up. Unable to talk to a real person. Avoid them - not recommended at all

Used Redkite for a piece of conveyancing work on a purchase. If there were fractional stars to award, I'd be giving them a rating of less than 1 star. The whole experience was chaotic, disorganised, communication was awful, calls were rarely returned, every excuse in the book was given to me for the awful service. I will never use this company ever again. Total shambles.

DO NO USE!!!!

They do not seem interested in checking on evidence or waiting on medical reports from hospital before deeming you “unworthy” not being 50% chance or higher on there scale to win.

You haven’t waited for the evidence to arrive.. you haven’t challenged the defendant with evidence given?

What do you actually do?

probable one of the worst experiences of my life. after they have your money they won't answer the phone to you and only communicate speradicly via email.
has taken 8 weeks to get my file from them and still no deed for my property.
to make matters worst you can't get hold of the complains department ever so no joy there. they seem to do minimal searches and don't give you advice on what to look for as a buyer. I think that I have had 8 emails total off of them and half of them where asking for mortgage and insurance update. us these people at your own risk.!!!!!

I recently sold my house and Katherine Greet of the Brecon office did the conveyancing. She was excellent-very efficient, quick to respond and dealt with the other solicitors enquiries knowledgeably. A really nice person too. She made the whole process very easy. Her colleague Bethan was also very helpful and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending Red Kite and would definitely use them again.

I had a poor experience with the Brecon office. My sister for whom I was acting as attorney received a £400 invoice for work done in connection with an aborted sale. My oral enquiries to the Brecon office produced no description of what work had actually been done but just the response that the lawyer who had been working on the matter had left their employment. A written enquiry to a partner in Carmarthen went unanswered. My sister asked me to remove her will and bundle of deeds from Red Kite and find a new solicitor.

Where do you start. Original solicitor left. New solicitor is very young and inexperienced and frankly rude. No clue how to talk to clients or what he is doing.
