Kind and helpful environment
My work advisor was such great help in supporting me to find work and become more confident in my search. I also felt very supported through my personal mental health struggles. All of the staff were very kind and helpful.

Just finished my third visit to the Pre…
Just finished my third visit to the Pre Diabetes course. I’m afraid to say I’m not very impressed.
Each course was held by a different person giving no continuity at all.
The course overall is aimed at people that are overweight, which I’m not.
On the first course there were 22 people, down to 15 by the second and the one I’ve just left had just 8 including myself. I will not be going again.
I dread to think how much the government are paying Reed Wellbeing for their national coverage but from my own experience they are not very organised.

Firstly I just want to say what an amazing woman Sophie is , she guided me and supported with nothing but understanding and compassion. Without reed i would not have found employment as fast as I did. I believe this scheme is a godsend for people who struggle finding a job. I’m so grateful to have been supported. I can't recommend it enough...
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Samantha through the Restart Scheme, and I honestly can’t be grateful enough for all the support I received throughout my job-hunting journey.
Samantha, along with Dan and Kim, were incredibly helpful and supportive. They shared valuable knowledge not only about the most effective ways to find a job suited to my qualifications and experience, but also about the support and benefits I was entitled to as a single parent.
Thanks to the programme and their guidance, I’m now successfully self-employed, which is something I’m really proud of. I would definitely recommend the Restart Scheme to anyone who needs some extra support getting back into work.

I was only there for two appointments so I didn’t get much use out of it but I think it’s a good place to go to if you need help getting a job or support

Waste of time
Don’t waste your time with this place. If you get to an interview, you’ll just have your time wasted when the interviewer cannot be bothered to turn up on time for the interview. Stay away unless you enjoy having your time wasted.

Friendly team, but limited suitable opportunities
Friendly and supportive team, and my work coach was helpful and clearly did their best to support me. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much luck as there were very few suitable opportunities available in my preferred industry, and I was also looking for part-time hospitality work. I was told that my profile was strong and that there wasn’t really anything that needed improving, so ultimately I didn’t feel there was much more that could be done to help me progress.
The job I have now was found independently through a speculative email, rather than through Reed. Overall, I think the main difficulty was the current job market and the lack of suitable roles available for what I was looking for.

Job search
Laura Poleykett and Michelle Talbot at Reed Harlow were a pleasure to speak too, they called regularly and kept me up to date with jobs available, until I found the right one. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone looking for work.

Reed Recruitment gave me everything I needed to get back into work. Not only with giving me the support and confidence mentally, but the equipment needed to travel and communicate with employers. Restart Scheme has not helped me find a job. I had to be my own job searcher
Restart Scheme has not helped me find work
I was mandated onto the Restart Scheme despite already being in work over 25 hours a week, which I'd told the Job Centre. Restart continued to book appointments regardless. The "jobs board" they promote isn't actually accessible to jobseekers directly — listings are only visible when an advisor chooses to show you, so there's no real way to browse opportunities yourself. In months on the scheme, I was never proactively shown a single relevant job. It felt like a box-ticking exercise rather than genuine support, and appointments were scheduled with no consideration for night-shift work patterns.
Would not recommend to anyone.
