I lost my job in August of 2020
I lost my job in August of 2020, due to Covid. I left the Army in 2005 and had one job. I had never written a resume before. I used a company called Top Resume on linked in to help me write it. (Waste of time, figure out how to do it yourself.) Anyhow, they signed me up with Resume Rabbit.
Here's the cool part, they blast it out to 50 job recruiting website at one time. But, they only do it one time. So if you want to update your resume and change the format.. well, your hosed. You have to go to each jobsite now individually to update it. But wait, there's a catch. You can't do that because you don't have the ResumeRabbit login for your profile for each site. It's controlled by them. They want to control you, so you have to read the email's from the jobs boards or spam through their website portal.
You can only receive a daily notification of how many emails you have in your personal account, but you must access their website. (90% of my notifications were spam or jobs which didn't even fit my skill set. Total waste.) This also means it's not portable, you can't use it from your phone except through the web if your traveling. Furthermore because you don't have your resume rabbit login for each job website. (It's controlled my RR corporate.) It means that you have to place your updated resume on their website (Which is not intuitive by the way, I had to contact help.)
This means your hosed. Each of the 50 websites are no longer going to receive your updated resume. Your only option is to now create a new login and upload your new resume to each job board website. (so RR is a waste of time) I never received one call, one opportunity or one recruiter contact from them. Don't do it. Don't use TopResume and Don't use ResumeRabbit. Here is the RR official response.
Hi Joe,
Thank you for contacting our support department.
We have already posted the information you provided to most if not all of the career sites on your requested distribution list. For each Career Site, we create an account for you and simultaneously submit the information you provided us.
Once we have posted your information to a Career Site, it's as if you had done it yourself. At that point, we have no way of logging into each Career Site account to edit or modify the information you originally provided us for your resume posting. The good news is we've created a tool that will help make the process of accessing your accounts to make changes as easy as possible.
The best way to edit your resume is to use your Posting Report within your dashboard. Here you'll find a list of all the sites you're posted on along with a "quick link" to help you easily log in to each site and edit your online profile and/or resume.
While it may take a little time to make the changes, most of our customers find it fairly easy now that their accounts have been created.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
Brittany
