Fuss free although you have to be a bit “tech-ey” to get the maximum from their car hire collection and drop off options.
We hired a car for ten days, at a reasonable rate - but it’s peace of mind - you don’t have any extra insurance costs to pay at all, no added deposits (apart from a refundable fuel loading of 100€). Car was upgraded FOC to Group C, and was extremely economical.
RIOG appear to be the major transport company in Mallorca and have offices in the main towns, which also gives more peace of mind.
We took the option of being collected at PMI although we found it difficult to locate our transport van at first (our fault; we didn’t read the directions carefully enough - they wait just outside the terminal to the right as you exit NOT in the car park!) but caught him just as he was about to depart.
Dropping off, we chose the drop-off at airport option, however, finding a space can be difficult plus we had no connectivity on our device to do the electronic shut down. A quick call to the offices resulted in a very helpful lady sending a WhatsApp with instructions plus she stayed on the line whilst we did it all. There’s a fair walk into the terminal from there and quite frankly, next time, I think we will just go to the off airport site and drop the car off and have their transport bring us to Departures.
Their staff are very helpful and this gives you confidence. The car was very good. I would just suggest that having a couple of complimentary water bottles (or a refillable option at the compound) would be a nice touch on arrival inside the car as sometimes you can be pretty dehydrated by the time you’ve got to the car after all the travelling!
On our experience, we would definitely recommend RIOG due to the lack of stress about insurance/excess payments, etc etc and good quality car, island-wide office coverage as well and will be using them again.

The smartlock paperless choice proved excellent going straight to the vehicle and following instructions on the app for location opening and remote signing of contract.
My wife requires wheelchair assistance and she was relieved regarding the speedy transfer after a flight delay (on board the aircraft) of three hours!
NoExcesses/ full insurance and rental payment in advance is great, no credit card blocking required therefore.

On the Airport you walk to Roig and the driver brings you perfect to the Hotel.
When you go back to the airport they pick you up on time.

This is no reflection on the hotel which was Ferguson park palmanova. We enjoyed the hotel and they have helped up with this problem regarding car hire and been supportive. My advice here is don't hire a car through the hotel, the company is called Roig car hire and are recommended from the hotel. You feel like you have made the better choice by selecting car hire that they use. Find another company as we hired a car for 1 day, booked it to be deleivered to the hotel for 9am so we could enjoy a whole day out. We had booked caves drach for and paid for the trip before. The car didn't arrive until 11 and then the system crashed so had to wait until gone 11:30. By this time myself my husband and my 2 children had been waiting in the lobby for all this time. Our day was slipping away and we missed our planned paid for trip so lost money. The company were not interested in giving us any money back regaldess off their admin mistake which they finally admitted. They had sent our car to the wrong hotel. So they had to drive it to us which meant the full tank of petrol they had put in ready for us was lower. The delivery man said to us fill up the tank to where it was as it's not quite full. We did this at the end of our trip but now discover they have taken money off our deposits as the tank was not full? I have explained but they have no understanding of this and still ignoring what we were told and still not prepared to refund us anything for being so late or pay us back the full deposit. Instead they have taken money of us. We also had to wait over a week to get the deposit money back? Was concerned we wouldn't get it back as lost all trust in this company. Also When they arrived late at the hotel they tried to spin a lie that they were there at 9 and we were not but my husband made sure he was there at 8:45. They then had to be honest and admit they made a mistake with the booking. The hotel have been advising us a bit and trying to help. I think they need to find a better company to recommend

Haben schon zum wiederholten Mal einen Mietwagen direkt bei Roig gebucht. Wie immer pünktliche Abholung am Flughafen, Transport zur Vermietstation. Komplikationslose Übernahme des Wagens ohne Tricks oder Aufschwatzen zusätzlicher Leisungen. Top Auto mit nur 3000 km ohne Beschädigungen, alles blitzsauber und vollgetankt. Rückgabe und Rückbuchung der Kaution ohne Problem. Keine Wartezeiten, freundlicher Service. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir haben direkt vor Ort gebucht und sind 100% zufrieden. Gute Beratung (bei Abholung sogar auf deutsch), kein Aufdrängen von zusätzlichen Leistungen, wie bei anderen Anbietern erlebt. Sehr guter, sauberer Wagen, Vollkasko, 2. Fahrer, voller Tank alles inklusive. Übergaben reibungslos, ebenso später der Rücktransport zum Flughafen. Wir werden wieder dort buchen!

Nach unserer Erfahrung absolut solide Autovermietung im Dschungel der Billiganbieter und Vertragsvermittler. Stressfreie Übernahme und Abgabe (bei Mitbuchung der gängigen Versicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung). Keine Tricks, kein Aufschwatzen von "Zusatzleistungen", Auto vertragsgemäß und vollgetankt. Transfer vom Flughafen zur Verleihstation prompt, ohne Wartezeit auf weitere Kunden. Etwas hakelig war zunächst die Rückzahlung eines Betrags anlässlich Vertragsänderung. Ging dann aber nach Direktansprache der Firma umstandslos. Der Haken lag augenscheinlich bei der Vermittlung des Vertrags und der Zahlung durch die Internet-Vermaklungsfirma Hasso Rent a Car. Fazit: Wenn Leihwagen auf Mallorca, besser (nach aktuellem Preisvergleich, klar) direkt bei ROIG buchen statt über Internet-"Vermittlungs-" oder "Vergleichsportale".

Ordered a return taxi from Palma airport to Cala Egos as we had a late fight in and early flight home so didn’t want to chance it. The taxis and drivers were first class. The airport driver was waiting at the Roig hub at the airport as instructed and the collection from our apartment bang on time at the agreed location. Once booked I contacted Roig by email to confirm collection points and received a prompt and detailed response in English which was great given my inability to communicate in Spanish!! Would highly recommend Roig based on our experience and will use them again on our next trip.

I recently rented an Audi A3 S from Riog in Cala D'or
Stupidly I left all my documents, passport, wallet and credit cards in the car on returning the vehicle.

As soon as I realised I contacted Roig. I was immediately contacted by Daniëlle de Moor from their office. She personally searched the car and recovered my precious items, which were returned to me the following day. Daniëlle's quick action and courtesy in emailing me immediately removed all stress and anxiety from the situation.

Historically I have rented from other car hire companies in Mallorca. From now on I will never use any other company. Roig and Daniëlle in particular are first class and best of breed.
