Singularly unimpressed. suggest you avoid
Arrived about 15mins early and was asked to go away until my alloted time. Despite the reply below, I was asked to take a walk around the wulfrun centre.No waiting areas offered so just had to wander about for a while.
Then got to appraisal. The initial, albeit uninspected offer was dropped by over £1000 due to the 'wet belt' not having been replaced. This despite the fact that the vehicle in question uses a chain for timing. No wet belt at all as confirmed by the manufacturer but still had to argue the point. Then more excuses about it needing a full mop, when all it needed was a good coat of wax polish. And one of the wheels, which I knew about required a burnish for a 1 inch surface scratch. When I pointed out the retail costs of having those 2 things done, and I had checked, it would have been at most £350, so for them, no doubt a significant amount cheaper.
I ended up walking away. I understand that they're a business and are out to make as much profit as they can, but treating customers this badly speaks volumes about what they are really like.
I went in hoping to do a deal, and they blew it.
And yes, the appraiser did come and admit he had made a mistake about the wet belt. Still, he should have found out first before offering such a large reduction in price. Even when he had admitted his mistake, he had the opportunity then to revise his offer but didn't. As for the paint swirls, that's to be expected on a 7 year old car. A good polish back with a decent buffing compound would be more than enough to bring back it's shine. So that just leaves the wheel. All in all a lowball offer and an opportunity to correct it out the window and the management then reply with more nonsense. Seems the concept of good customer service doesn't apply here.

There was a spare office available, which you were directed to, but we understand you chose to wait while the team member finished assisting another customer.
Regarding the wet belt, the buyer was initially unsure and had based their understanding on information found online. Before leaving, they returned to apologise and clarify the information once they had checked the correct details. As there was some uncertainty at the time of appraisal, this was not included in the offer calculation.
During the vehicle appraisal, we noted several surface scratches, marks, and paint chips. Some may have been improved with machine polishing, while others would have required additional touch-up work.
We appreciate your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns further and better understand your experience. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can assist.

Great service from Graeme, made the process simple and what a nice guy he was. They do however knock a large value off original given value, anything showing on MOT (advisories), part service history, scuffed alloys and marks/paintwork/dents on car, my quote significantly dropped by over £800.00. Nevertheless the money was instant and the service was smooth. Thank You

A VERY BIG thank you to Mark and Tom at SYC2J. They went the extra mile of helping to chase the transfer of payment after I sold my car to them. There were some technical issues with the banks and the transfer was unusually long, but they kept chasing for me, and reassuring me that it was coming. This is exemplary customer service that is getting rare these days. Jack should be pleased to have such a great team. Fair valuation and super friendly attitude. You would think second hand car salesmen only want your money, yes, but they really try to help. Next time I try to sell my car, I would not think of any other outlet or platform.
