Ascot Oaks - very happy new home owners!
We recently moved into our new home at Ascot Oaks & couldn’t be happier with our property & the development! The homes & site overall have all been finished to such a high standard including the garden, patios & landscaping at the front.
A huge amount of our experience was because of Rosie at the marketing suite! Every time we visited she was truly lovely - happy to see us, warm & friendly. Rosie got to know us well & really went above & beyond with how helpful she was. When we first discovered Ascot Oaks, we didn’t yet have accepted offers on either of our properties, but despite this, and quite a lengthy/challenging flat sale, Rosie remained patient, positive & encouraging. She regularly kept in touch to see how things were progressing & was determined to help us given she knew how much we wanted to live here! We couldn’t have asked for a more professional, knowledgeable & thorough person to deal with - whether it was taking extra photos, checking for sun in the plot garden or chasing solicitors & management companies for us, Rosie was genuinely happy to do it all. We really can’t praise or thank her enough!!
Later in the process we were also assisted by Kerri - another highly professional, lovely & exceptionally helpful person to deal with!
A great experience from start to finish
I had a very positive experience purchasing my home with Shanly Homes at Oaklands Park.
The quality of the home was one of the main reasons I decided to go ahead. Before making my final decision, I looked at several different options, but this home really stood out to me.
Another important factor was the support I received from Tai and Amanda at Shanly Homes. They were both very responsive, helpful, and proactive throughout the process, which gave me a lot of confidence before committing to the purchase.
Everything was handled smoothly from start to finish, and I felt well looked after throughout. Even after completion, it has been reassuring to see that they continue to care and follow up, rather than the support ending once the purchase was completed.
Overall, I am very happy with my experience and would recommend Shanly Homes to others :)

We found Ascot Oaks completely by coincidence, and from our very first visit Rosie made a lasting impression. She was involved throughout the entire process, always available to answer questions and offer guidance, but never once came across as a pushy salesperson.
What really stood out was her genuine and friendly approach. Rather than giving us a typical sales pitch, Rosie helped us envision what life in our first home could look like. She took the time to understand what we were looking for and made the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable.
Rosie feels less like a salesperson and more like a warm, supportive friend helping you make an important life decision. Her honesty, professionalism, and enthusiasm gave us great confidence in both the development and Shanly Homes as a whole. In fact, Rosie’s approach is one of the reasons we felt even more positive about choosing Shanly Homes.
The only thing we hope for now is that the company continues to be as responsive with the snagging process as Rosie has been throughout our journey. If that level of customer care continues after completion, it will make the experience truly exceptional.

From the very beginning, the service we received was exceptional. The team was professional, friendly and always willing to help. Particular in this was the lovely Rosie who became our specific go-to person. She was incredibly supportive and on a number of occasions went over and above in helping and guiding us through the process.

I have to say the buying experience was exceptional. In particular I’d like to call out Rosie from the Ascot Oaks site. I truly feel she went above and beyond to help during an extremely stressful period for myself and my wife.
We have been in the property for 2 weeks now and are very happy. Let’s hope the customer service is as good as Rosie was.

Rosie in particular at Shanly Homes was very helpful from start to finish. She is so passionate about the product and the Holmes as a whole, and was very knowledgeable throughout.
The development as a whole has such a lovely feel and we’re very excited for it to finish soon.

Too expensive
The 3‑bed homes in Staines are seriously overpriced and completely out of reach for most local families. Developers avoid building in proper town areas and instead buy cheap land near woods, then sell the finished homes at premium commuter‑belt prices. It feels profit‑driven, not community‑driven, and it’s disappointing to see so little focus on genuinely affordable housing.

Avoid Shanly Homes / Waterside Quarter…
Avoid Shanly Homes / Waterside Quarter – Shocking Ongoing Management
Do not buy into developments linked to Shanly Homes.
Years after completion, the Waterside Quarter Residents Management Company is still effectively being run by individuals connected to the developer — and the standard of management is shocking.
Service charges are:
• Inflated
• Unjustified
• Unsupported by any proper documentation
There are no invoices, no receipts, no transparency — just summary figures being demanded as if they are automatically payable.
At the same time, serious issues within the building are not being properly managed. In my case:
• Over 6 months of an unresolved leak
• Confirmed mould within the property
• No clear plan, no coordination, no urgency
Despite this, the approach has been disorganised and reactive, with basic failures in communication and accountability.
This is not what you expect from a developer or management structure years after completion.
It raises serious concerns about:
• Governance
• Transparency
• How residents are being treated
Proceed with extreme caution.
Window almost fell off
After 3 months into our new flat in Maidenhead, our window’s hinges fell off and the window almost fell. We had to call the firefighters to secure it. Now, almost a year later and several visits of incompetent contractors into our flat causing severe disruption to our routine, including making the situation worse (fitting a window with a draft during winter), and having us relive the trauma, we are STILL left with a window that does not function properly, as it still gets stuck at midpoint. Sadly, it seems that the design was poorly thought out from the beginning and is not fit for purpose. I only wish we had bought with a more experienced developer instead.

I had a fantastic experience with Shanly Homes with purchasing my apartment in Maidenhead. They were incredibly attentive and always friendly, making the whole process much easier. They consistently answered our calls and were always available when we needed them. If they didn’t know the answer to something, they found out promptly and kept us informed.
They were also very accommodating, allowing us to view the property as many times as we needed so we could feel confident in our decision.
Overall, a professional, reliable, and genuinely helpful service — highly recommended!

De Havilland Place - Great development and experience
We recently completed on our new home on the De Havilland Place development and had a really positive experience with the Shanly Homes from start to finish.
The whole process was smooth and well organised, and we’re really pleased with the quality of our new home.
A big thank you to the sales team – Michael, Kerrie and Sally – who were all fantastic throughout the process. They were always friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond to any questions, which made the whole experience much less stressful.

Shanly Homes Ashcroft Place
We have moved into our new shanly home and it is wonderful. The buying process went smoothly and Jazz at Shanly homes was readily available to answer questions and queries. I would have given 5 stars however I feel that if you have provided a snagging report that prior to completion Shanly should inform you of what is outstanding and a timeline for works, if work outstanding at completion. To be honest this is a process point and doesn’t take away from how much we love our new home. We received a lovely hamper with lots of tasty treats. Thought this was such a nice welcome to our new home.
