Solar Style Distributions Opiniões 

Following my previous review on 30 Jan 2025, I was contacted by Solar Style’s Sales Manager. I explained to him the issues I was having trying to contact them to arrange for someone to check my system following technical issues; after a cordial conversation I was informed that he would personally sort out the issue and confirmed that the problems I was having were inexcusable. I was invited to contact him at anytime ( “although please be aware that if you call me at 2am I will be snoring”) should I have any further issues. Several hours later I was again contacted to say that a technician would be working in my local area on Wednesday 5th February and could get to me by 2pm. At around 4:30pm I was contacted by the Sales Manager to be told that the technician was no longer attending. Frustrated by the lack of communication (which he had previously apologised for and promised would not happen again) I informed him I had taken a days holiday and felt very disappointed and let down again. At this point the mood of the conversation changed and the tone of the communication felt confrontational. Having been asked when next would suit me, I was informed that Wednesday 10th February would the new time for me to receive a visit but he had to have “a couple of conversations first”. About 15 minutes later I was left a voice message to call him back, which I did. I was categorically told that someone WOULD be with me after 2pm on the 10th of February, but he would confirm a more precise time on that morning. Again and in good faith I have taken another day off work. At 12: 30pm I text messaged the sales manager to enquire what time a technician should be with me; I had no response so sent the message again at 13:56pm? I then decided to call the office number as I was aware that the sales manager could be off or unavailable.
I made the appropriate department selection and explained to the lady that I was expecting a technician visit as agreed the week before with the Sales Manager…I was put on hold whilst the staff member spoke to him. Some minutes later I was told that the Sales Manager had informed her that no one was coming and that following a “meeting” I should be contacted on Friday the 14th February 2025; however, if I was not contacted I should call them!
Having been reassured on the 30th of January that this situation was poor and that “there is no excuse or argument with my complaint raised” I would have a tech visit to sort the issue out on the 5th and then have that cancelled and be rearranged for the 10th of February; to then have no comms as promised and for me to chase them again to be told no one is coming again (despite me now having lost 2 x holiday days) is beyond unprofessional.
On initial contact with the company I had no complaints, the installation team were fantastic for both the initial install and my subsequent purchase of a second battery; unfortunately the Customer Service support is suboptimal to say the least. I continue to wait again now, with little confidence as a customer who has spent over £10,000.00 cannot get the basic support promised.

I was very pleased with the team who fitted the solar panels they are a credit to the company, also the two young electricians who work endlessly to achieve our route of the cable between the inverter and the consumer unit there were also a credit to the company nothing seemed to much, the carpenter who came to fie the broken roof panel they were all a asset to the company and I would recommend this company to anyone who wanted solar panels 10 out of 10. Last by no mean leased the staff from the main office who answered all my questions. Probably the best company I have ever used

We had their solar panels fitted 2014. Ever since they’ve plagued us with unwanted sales calls. They’ve been warned many times to stop calling us, and to remove our phone number from their records… and yet they keep persisting, their staff are disrespectful, pushy and ignorant. When we tell them to stop calling us they slam the phone down on us.

They have been warned if they keep calling us we will get the police involved as it is total harassment.
And surprise surprise, we’ve just this morning had another unwanted phone call from ‘Barney’… I told him they’ve been told to stop calling us yet again, and he claimed to be ‘new to the company’, yet a quick look at their Facebook page photos, shows he’s worked there since summer last year and he’s also rang us multiple times (I recognised his voice). And so they leave us with no option but to speak to the Police regarding harassment.

If you google their phone number 01642 061 646 and check on ‘Who Called Me’, who-called.co.uk you will see many reviews complaining about that number harassing people!

Had the panels in a few years been great. But if you have an issue this company just ignores you. Never reply to phone calls or emails.

Apart from that been great but I suppose once they have your money they don't want to get back in touch with you.

Excellent customer service and the installation team were very courteous and professional. Very tidy and fully explained how the product works.

From start to finish this company has been fantastic. The team that installed the new batteries were very respectful of my mother’s property and knew exactly what they had to do. Then later both Ghania Ahmed and Kerrie Lewis, who without their help, I could not have filled out all the forms required for transfer of ownership for my mam. Brilliant company which I would highly recommend.

A reliable company with good communication skills. The surveyors and installers were careful and competent and all paperwork was supplied properly.

Had several quotes for my system but Solar Style were the only ones that gave a personal service. What I mean by this is, is that Stu came to the house to talk to me face to face. All the others were telephone calls and or zoom.
Stu was spot on and listened to my requirements rather than tell me what I needed and was patient when I changed my mind a few times.
Gordon the Boss came out with one of his top Surveyors to double check and following that, the system was installed within a week.
Kerrie in the office sorted my G99 certificate out which was a task in itself as she had problems with the DNO ( their fault not hers) but she persisted till it was sorted. She was a ⭐️
System is working fine. Been in 3 months now and looking forward to some sun
Would I recommend Solar Style based on my experience with them? Too right I would.

Everyone from the team was hard working, friendly, polite, accommodating and very efficient.

Thorough and professional survey and realistic scheduling and installation plan supplied. a few minor issue at install. one random - and unexplainable - battery alarm since.

I have found SolarStyle a reasonable company to deal with. The original advice, 2 years ago, about our solar panel / battery / car charger installation based on a FoxESS hybrid inverter was sound and the performance is similar to estimates we were given. We did have one or two teething problems but SolarStyle sorted them out satisfactorily. They were prepared to listen to any issues we faced and respond appropriately. Overall we are very pleased with our installation. Cost savings have comfortably exceeded our expectations. Our more recent experience relates to installation of additional home batteries. Again initial teething problems have satisfactorily been dealt with and we are pleased with the installation.

Problems from start to finish.
First the surveyed my property and agreed to put battery in loft.
A week later installers arrived and said battery can’t go in loft. So they wanted to put it outside.
I said not having it outside. So was ready to tell them to leave.
Spoke to office and said about battery can’t go in loft, when installer heard that he said ah it can go in loft.
So I helped them lift into loft.
The real reason they didn’t want to put it in loft was because of weight.
Install went well. Did a good job. I asked what the app was. Installer said the office will email all the details.
Didn’t get any email. Rang office and asked why I hadn’t been shown how to use system and why no app.
Excuse after excuse.
Eventually they told me that their staff weren’t trained to commission the system so had to go through training.
They arranged to send someone else out to commission it. I waited in all day and no show.
He phone me the following night saying he was supposed to be out yesterday but was out the night before and felt rough.
Very professional.
I was phoning the office every day to find out what was happening and just got different answers from different staff. No straight answer and no resolution.
I asked to speak to a manager, so got the accounts manager to ring. To be fair he was the best one out of the lot.
I envoked section 75 of credit card agreement.
Eventually after 4.5 weeks my system got commissioned by the original installer. I asked why they hadn’t informed me before install that no one was trained to commission it and he said it wasn’t his place to say that. So clearly said nothing. Deceived by them all.
Still never been shown how to use it.
So unfortunately I would not recommend solar Style Distributions as my experience was absolutely terrible.
Lots had got experiences.
But I didn’t.

I have found my Solarstyle Solar panel installation a total waste of time and money. The system has never worked since installation in July 2023, constant calls to Solarstyle have changed nothing. I have a letter from them dated 16th August 2024 promising resolution in 28 days, I have another letter received, undated, mid September promising a fix or replacement within 6 weeks. It’s now nearly December and we still have no resolution. The system alert status shows both batteries and converter are off-line so the solar panels are just keeping my roof warm.

Firstly, the Rep was great. We had panels long before batteries.
Since having the batteries as well our electricity bills are much lower.

The standing order is the biggest part of the Complete bill now.
So yes, batteries are well worth the money.

Upgraded our 16 Solar panel system to include batteries, a new inverter and a regulator. The installation was straight forward and fairly quick. Over the spring and summer we offset most of the electric used and still easily get at least the same feed in tariff amount. Very happy.

I recently had some problems with my FIT and OVO.
They were asking me to do all sorts before they would release my payment.
I needed to contact my installer and was very lucky to find Kerrie!
I was given excellent support as well as having someone who was happy to take up my case with OVO.
As a result it appears it’s was all OVO’s fault!!
But Kerrie was there to help from start to finish!!
It was very much appreciated!! ☺️
