This is my second delivery/order from Southern Energy I obtained 4 quotes online and Southern were the best, very quick delivery drivers arrived with no problems which is amazing as we are rural and its seems very difficult to find by most delivery drivers. On current experience I would recommend this company, for giving a great service and great price

After being badly let down by another…
After being badly let down by another company I have used this company 3 times now and will continue to use them. Easy to order, very good price, great service and drivers and, added bonus, when I phoned, the phone rang twice only and someone answered. No sitting in a queue listening to awful music for ages. A rare thing nowadays. Highly recommend.

Great to deal with
I have been using them for a number of years. The pricing is competitive and fair, even during the current crisis. Ordering is simple and efficient. I get advance notice of delivery and it always comes on the stated date. The drivers are polite and helpful, especially given that access is not easy and the tanks are quite hidden.

An honourable supplier
When I ordered 600 litres on 4th March, the price had already risen a little, but competitive. My delivery arrived as promised 17th whilst we were away ( a pity as I always give your driver a decent tip - due to tricky access)
I half expected an Iran driven surcharge but, I was pleasantly surprised that the original price was held firm.

Ordered my fuel on the morning of the start of Iran bombing for delivery a week ahead and they honoured the price and didn’t try to rip me off by cancelling and charging double like some suppliers. Very impressed.

Their prices are always better then other companies, they give you a date and time for deliveries. The driver call to let you know how long before they will arrive.

Great company to deal with. Delivered very quickly and I loved the notifications. We were told when the oil was coming with a time slot and told it had been delivered as were out. All very helpful.

Expect an Early Call
Despite writing explicit instructions on the company website where our oil tank was located the driver woke us up at 0645 asking where the oil tank was located! Not good. However the price paid for the oil was good.

We do include instructions for our drivers, but on this occasion it’s clear that they weren’t followed as they should have been, and we’ll be addressing this with the delivery team to prevent it happening again.

Our delivery failed twice
Our delivery failed twice - on the Monday because apparently 'the road was blocked' and on the Wednesday because the 'lorry broke down'. When we phoned to complain explaining that we are elderly and actually had no oil we were informed that the next day delivery was 'full' and they 'would try and fit us in'. We were not happy at all with this service and asked for refund of the premium we paid for an early delivery which didn't happen - eventually oil delivered on the Thursday

Unfortunately, unforeseen issues such as access problems and vehicle breakdowns can occasionally disrupt delivery schedules, but that doesn’t lessen the impact on you when you’re left without oil.
We regret that your delivery did not take place as planned and that the communication around rescheduling did not meet the standard we aim to provide. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared internally so we can improve how situations like this are handled in future.
Great company to deal with
Competitive prices. Delivery always exactly when promised and usually sooner. Delivery driver delivers quietly and goes with no fuss. Extremely pleasant and helpful if you have to phone.
