Well what can I say, Jon dj’d at our wedding and what an amazing night. Jon took the time to listen to our requirements and adhered to them. He was/ is kind and consensus in everything that he does. Our first dance was amazing he waited and kept the crowd dancing until we were ready as we had ran over. Nothing is to much trouble. Would hire again in a heart beat.

John was the best DJ! We chose the platinum package, with all day add on, which meant we didn't have to worry about a thing all day. John took care of ceremony music, post ceremony, background music for our reception and the evening entertainment. So many guests have said it was the best wedding disco they'd ever been to and John made that happen. Thanks so much!! Kirsty and Matt

Booked for Wedding DJ in October at Eastington Park. Last minute booking as got let down by our wedding DJ. John was super helpful and friendly making the entire process very easy. He played greats tunes and had a great set up. The online portal was super helpful and easy to use, inputting song requests prior to the big day. Turned up early! Very impressed with his DJ services. Would definitely recommend!

I cannot recommend south west discos enough! John honestly saved the day, after being scammed out of £870 just a month before my wedding It's safe to say I well truly started to stress. Everyone was recommending John and saying how good he was, and they were not wrong! I booked John and from that moment of booking him he kept in touch, he made me feel at ease as if there was nothing to worry about! The service he delivered on the wedding day was above and beyond. The sweet cart and popcorn machine went down a treat!! I went to get some sweet at the end of the night and everything was gone.. not that I'm surprised! The DJ set up was incredible and John himself was so lovely and down to earth.. He even played a weird request that he had never heard of before for me and my maid of honour when most people have left.. I am sorry for that request it had to be done we love Eminem 🤣! He also a provided us with a projector which was incredible, very large and clear so my father and daughter dance tribute video played beautifully which meant the world to me. ❤️ I seriously cannot thank John enough, he clearly takes pride in what he does and he does a fantastic job at it!! Thank you again John you're a super Star ⭐️🥰 !

We used the company for our wedding in march.
Seems like no one seems to care about the company.
They sent the wrong light up letters on the day. We recieved the Mr & Mrs light up sign when we had booked to recieve the LOVE light up letters.
Not only were they wrong the had a bulb out which looks lovely in our photos.
We also booked a DJ package, we had sent over the playlist which all of our guests had helped pick from their invites... DJ forgot the playlist. Also family and friends were asking who the dj was when he arrived as he looked a mess.
The magic mirror also kept breaking as it was "too cold".
The staff were all dressed very scruffy and all in all was not impressed with the service on the day.
We were told they would send us some money to apologise which also never materialised. After chasing still no money was refunded.
Do not recommend

Myself and Luke would just like to say a massive massive thank you for our incredible gold Dj Package at our wedding in November, everything was absolutely incredible!!

The uplighters and LOVE letters were absolutely stunning and really uplifted an already stunning venue!

The lady and Gentlemen who were running the selfie mirror were both lovely!

Lastly, the DJ John was just brilliant, from start to finish, so friendly and bought our night to life!

You really did create an extra special evening reception for our wedding day and for that we are so grateful so Thank you so much!

Awful service and DJ was not good at all, not interested at all in being there, had several complaints about DJ from family and friends. Ruined wedding, would NOT recommend

John was our DJ for the whole wedding day, from arrival to end and he was fantastic! Really polite and funny and he had everyone on the dance floor for the entire night! He smashed it and we cant reccomend him enough!

We had a recommendation for Southwest discos from our reception venue, John took note of all of our requests and played them all, my daughter also sang a few songs too. We also booked a photo booth which was great fun and everyone loved it
The contact and communication with John was excellent throughout and although by the time my wedding came around, John had sold his business to Generation events, John still DJ’s

We were over the moon with SW discos direct. From booking right through to our special day they were on hand with questions & support (especially with regards to covid restrictions/worries). We booked the gold package with John - he was friendly, professional and seamless with the music. The DJ set up and hired LOVE letters looked fantastic.

Wow what can I say John from southwest disco was amazing, our wedding was postponed twice due to covid and it was never a problem keeping in touch with them , so accommodating x
Our wedding did happy 3 weeks ago the flower arbor and disco where amazing do to being able to pick tune we liked and requests being do on the night x just fantastic thank you all x truly a night to remember x if we need a disco again theirs only one company we would use x thank you for everything x

Our venue held a wedding fair and that’s where we met John. He was absolutely fantastic from the get go and we felt so confident in trusting him with our wedding entertainment. We had the DJ package, photobooth, candy cart and postbox. We couldn’t believe how reasonably priced it all was and it was such an ease to have it all through the one company. On the day of the wedding John got everyone on the dance floor, played the style of music we asked for and seemed to be enjoying himself as much as us which was amazing. Any future parties we will 100% be booking John again, we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Matt had everybody up within minutes of setting up...He made our wedding evening brilliant.

We had been to lots of Wedding Fairs in preparation for our do and it wasn't until we went to The Holiday Inn in Gloucester that as soon as we met John of Southwest Discos Direct that we made our minds up on our evening do DJ. John stood out from the crowd massively. He had that sparkle about him and his equipment is out of this world! He was so approachable, genuine and a true gent! When we had our do, everyone commented on how good he is and he was asked by quite a few of our guests for a business card. John really went over and beyond for us and done us extremely proud! Both his lighting display and sound system were amazing! Great value for money and he was so easy to work with. Each time I went over to him to make a request he came over to me straight away and as soon as the song he was playing had finished - he was playing our request. We used John from South west Discos direct for our wedding at the Bristol Harbour hotel. John was professional and truly made it a smooth and enjoyable day for both us and our guests.

From day one, he listened and fully understood what we wanted and the music was spot on for the day and night. John was very accommodating, flexible and provided us with everything which we requested, he was always available and happy to chat to us to confirm the fine details.

From the morning of the wedding, everything was set up smoothly and the decorations (DJ Booth, Love Sign, Mood lights & Vintage post-box) was beautifully set up at the venue. Throughout the day, the music was played perfectly from the entrance of bride and groom to the first and last dance.

John was very friendly and approachable and all our guest complimented on his professionalism and attitude.

John has definitely made the Music/reception side of the wedding stress free and I would fully recommend him. Thank you so much for everything!

John was superb for my daughter's 18th - we had a musical theatre karaoke evening then a disco . It appealed to all generations; it was really good fun ad he made it really accessible for everyone. i would definitely recommend.

We were overwhelmed with how fantastic the service was that we received. Nothing was too much trouble. Made our night perfect!

For a couple who live in South Wales we found booking suppliers a little more difficult than normal as we werent familiar with those in Gloucestershire. One of our suppliers recommended John at Southwest discos so we went ahead and booked. From the moment we booked Southwest Discos we definitely made the right decision. John was super helpful, took all of the stress away from us so we had nothing to worry about. Even the fact we still hadn't made a decision on our first dance until 3pm on the wedding day, John did not pressure us into making a decision and therefore made the day run as smooth as possible. John even picked up on the fact our venue did not carry out the master of ceremony and therefore took it upon himself to introduce the speeches even though he hadn't been told or warned of this. John did a fantastic job, from the music to the lighting display we couldn't have asked for anymore. I would highly recommend using Southwest Discos for any future event.
