Enjoyable journey with some minor deficiencies to be overcome
Friendly service, mobile home with good ideas, but partly sub-optimal manufacturing quality (jamming slide door, kitchen sink stopper not fitting, power outlet not fitting for international plug adapters, USB charging plug with loose connection...).
Irritations when booking from Europe regarding pick-up/drop location and addresses. “Main station" instead of Waverley station, no precise address where to find the shuttle (which parking slot, which corner, ...?)

Thanks for review and feedback. Glad you enjoyed our service and your holiday with us. I'm sorry you experienced some difficulties with the vehicle. This is unusual as all our campervans and motorhomes are checked each time they go out, and all are under 3 years old.

Alarm system is a terrible thing to deal with
We rented a small camper van for travel in Scotland. The size was perfect for the road sizes. BUT, customer service neglected to tell us about the alarm system when we locked ourselves in at night for sleeping. A terrible hassle and to disengage it the first night required a midnight to 2 am wait for the repair truck to arrive to fix the system. Then we had to return to the rental agent the next morning to get it fixed. only got a 1/2 day refund for our sleepless night. After that we locked ourselves in and if we forgot to unlock before opening the doors the alarm went off again. Then we returned the camper 12 hrs before the end of out contract and they said we would get a full day of cred which we never got. next time we rent from another company we will be sure to ask about alarms. We rented from CampEasy in Iceland and never had any problems. I will never rent from this company again.

Sorry you had some difficulty with the alarm system. This is fairly standard on most vehicles(cars and vans) and the alarm is really only used when the vehicle is unoccupied. It is difficult for us to refund for any booked but unused rental period at short notice, because as I'm sure you will understand, we cannot rent out that vehicle and may have turned down bookings that for that day as we believed the vehicle would be unavailable. Run Don't Walk .....to Spaceships!
We had a wonderful experience w/Spaceships! My recommendation would be to get the insurance (Scotland is Ground Zero for Potholes) and take a jetboil/own stove for coffee and cooking. Neither of our stoves worked. However, if we felt super strongly we could have bought a new one and been reimbursed w/the insurance coverage. Just Go!

Drove from the Slough depot with one of…
Drove from the Slough depot with one of the RVs with 5 other mates and made our way to Denmark and back. Amazing experience, service and quality of RV was very good, would recommend for long and short roadies.

Great experience with Spacehships…
Great experience with Spacehships Dublin. Everything was easy both checkin and return.
Will definitely use them again.
Dropped one star as the sockets didnt work in the van but still a great vehicle.

Thanks for the great review Joseph and glad you had a fantastic Spaceships road trip around Ireland.
We'll check out the sockets - it might have been something to do with the leisure battery running low or the electric hook-up.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
UPDATE: This is due to not being hooked up to the mains - the mains sockets only work when plugged in to a campsite. However you can use inverter in the 12V cigarette lighter switches to charge when off grid.

Spacehips Down Under seems to be a good choice. But beware of Spaceships UK. Never trust them. They completely fooled us. Promised to help etc etc. But never fulfilled any promise, only produced trouble. Be careful!
