Firstly I got a quote locally and thought it was a bit expensive so I rang Imogen at SHS to get a new quote and couldn’t believe how much cheaper it was. We needed posts and a bespoke gate. I was informed the gate could take 3 to 4 weeks as it was bespoke but I was in a hurry as it builders were here working. I asked if they could speed the delivery up. The post got delivered in 2 working days and the gate within 7 working days. We had drawings of what we required within hours of the order from Sionna at SHS and we approved them for the order to commence. It was my fault I realised I had forgotten to order 8mm inserts for some of my posts so I rang Imogen and she put them in the post for me with no charge. My whole contact with SHS was friendly and very professional, I think a lot of companies could learn from the customer service SHS gives.

From my initial enquiry, through to delivery, we had regular communication with Imogen and Sionna which made the whole process easy. We had our own builder install the balustrade, and he was happy with the instructions given. The finished Wire Rope Balustrade finishes our newly laid patio and is just what we wanted. We are very happy.

The surveyor/fitter (I think his name was Geoff) and his colleague were very professional and have done a brilliant job. Love my balustrade and am pleased that it's made things safer for my 2 little grandsons in my tiered garden.

We ordered a beautiful Balustade for our patio to surround our Koi Pond. The quality of these products is superb. The service was as good and they really helped to rush through an order so it would arrive whilst I had the builders here. Wonderful quality that we are delighted with. It looks fantastic and it was exeptional value for money. I would recommend.

Can’t praise SHS enough - amazing customer service, reliable and competitively priced. They respond quickly to requests for info and are extremely helpful and offer valuable advice. Most importantly their product is excellent - our experienced fitter praised their glass and system. Would recommend without hesitation.

SHS provided us with a glass balustrade system. Hours were spent on the internet researching different companies but just had a good feeling about this one. From start to finish the service was outstanding. We asked if we could visit their Walsall factory to see the quality of the system and we were made very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and Dave and Chris were happy to spend a lot of time with us answering all of our questions and we were able to establish that the product was precision engineered and of a very high quality. Chris even made a visit to our site to check our measurements were accurate.
Our order was placed, was delivered exactly on time, was extremely well packaged and included all fittings ,even drill bits and cleaning materials. The installation drawings were extremely detailed but easy to follow as we are just DIY enthusiasts and had never fitted anything like this before. It all went together perfectly and we are thrilled with the end result. Dave and Chris were on the end of the phone when we had any queries. The whole experience was stress free due to their professionalism and genuine belief in their product. We would like to thank them for their patience with us.

I researched the companies products online and then phoned the customer services department. Dave was excellent and very proactive in dealing with the questions I raised. My wife is in hospital having undergone hip replacement only yesterday and I was able to arrange dispatch of the correct stair handrail the same day I contacted Dave. He couldn’t do enough to help, and I was very impressed.

Fantastic service without compromise. We had an unusual fixing detail and awkward position to fit the ballustrade, the installation went without a hitch to the highest level of quality. Fantastic.

This company supplied me with a glass balcony system which was above expectations in quality and manufacturing. The product was delivered to the Isle of Lewis glass complete no damages and manufactured to precision. I will definitely be using again.

Excellent pre-sales process with Victoria, we had a survey completed to make sure our measurements were correct. Great CAD/CAM designs with input with the team. Fitting service was well worth the investment. Overall a great service, good customer service. Highly recommended.

The company were very helpful in designing and specifying the right product for our project. The balustrade arrived on site very well protected and on time. The one slight error was that they didn't send enough brackets, this was rectified within a few days.

What can I say that is different from the reviews that have gone before, Well I’ll give it a go as they say. From ordering my Ballustrade to the after care service, my experience with SHS was exemplary, particularly Christopher Westwood.
My carpenter who was a complete novice on installing Ballustrades, but after talking to SHS Ballustrades and Handrails Mr Christopher Westwood who had started to weave his magic on Andy and afterwards my carpenter turned out to be one very good competent fitter. Christopher not only guided Andy through what fixings he needed, he was also on hand every step of the way with installation not only with how to start, and with regard to how to plan it all out. Nothing was to big or too small for Chtis to resolve.
Tools were provided and any problems we encountered were eased away with Chris’s attention to detail, he was meticulous. He went over and above being a Business Development Manager. He is one amazing employee to have on board. Thanks Christopher!

Excellent customer service given by David Shale. After seeing a photo of my glass balustrade where one panel had dropped, he suggested and supplied four new rubbers to fit into clamps which hopefully will resolve the problem. Very prompt delivery also.
