My experience with Steve maddens customer service was not a great experience. I requested to return my shoes to which they sent me a return label. Missed the return date by one day and reached out to get an extension. I was denied and told that it was not their problem. I will not be buying anything from Steve Madden again!

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received from Steve Madden regarding my recent preorder experience. I placed an order for a pair of shoes on September 25th, fully expecting that my payment would be processed immediately. However, to my astonishment, I discovered that the actual charge did not occur until October 3, 2024—eight days later. This discrepancy is not only frustrating but also highly inconvenient. If I had known that my payment would be delayed, I would have chosen to forgo the preorder altogether.
I have a receipt clearly indicating my purchase date as September 25th, which only heightens my irritation at this situation. It’s hard to fathom how such an error could occur, leaving me feeling misled and dissatisfied. On top of this, I am now faced with the additional wait time of 3-7 business days to receive my refund, which only compounds my frustration. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend preordering items from Steve Madden. The overall handling of this situation has been far below acceptable standards, and I hope that necessary improvements are made to prevent others from encountering similar issues in the future.

I bought Steve madden sneakers, man, if I wanted to have my legs amputated I would gon to the hospital. I am wearing my size but when I am walking it feels like I am wearing 3 times my size. I walked 5 minutes in them and I know that I'd never want one for life.

Ordered £120 pair of the Maxima-R Trainer BLACK - website advised going up 1 size I’m normally a 6.5/7 ordered size 8 they arrived the next day prompt delivery happy with this - but sizing is out size 8 were far too small and far too tight my friend is a size 6 they were comfortable and great fit for her I’d advise sizing up 2 sizes if sent them back and ordered two sizes up so fingers crossed there a better fit for me currently waiting on refund for the size 8 hoping that won’t take long defo size up twice but other than that my experience was good :)
Steve Madden, poor customer service and criminals…
Steve Madden didn’t even send the right size so they screwed up the order from the beginning. When I asked for a replacement be sent they said they could no longer send to the address they sent the original order to…what in God’s name!?! I asked for a return slip and was assured by email (of which I have proof still) from customer service I wouldn’t be charged a restocking fee and would receive a full refund in the amount I paid as it was their fault to start and lo and behold they lied! Steve Madden has now stolen money from me for their own mistake, the shoe quality is cheaply made, and I never wore them because they never would have fit. But judging by the feel of holding them in my hands they’re cheap and I’ll go spend $1200 or more at a higher brand name store on a pair of red bottoms. I have reported their dishonesty and theft to BBB and VISA.

So the all black sneakers with rhinestones I’m 42yrs old I waitress the summer I work 4 days 5 hr shifts. I purchased before and imo there was more ware then should be but this season I got a new pair. I’m an adult and I take care of my things so maybe 2 months in I’m now thinking a stone fell off anyway I sent a pic it’s where my big toe is a hole it’s getting bigger well tell me how a hole got on the top of the sneaker? I get around n under sure normal wear but I’m not dragging the tops of my foot on anything. I’m a grown adult come on I take care of my things and for this to be normal wear. I get compliments all the time but it’s upsetting they are coming apart after 3 months I guess it’s but at your own risk?

When I placed an order online, I accidentally entered the wrong email address. I contacted customer service shortly after, but they informed me they couldn't correct it. The only option was to cancel the order, but I wouldn't receive a cancellation email because it would go to the incorrect email address. This experience was absolutely terrible and has cost them a customer. To make matters worse, the entire conversation took 40 minutes because "Mark" was responding every five minutes.

I ordered a pair of boots online, paid for them and have been told to expect them within a week. After two weeks, I contacted costumer service and they told me I had to be patient and to wait for an email confirmation from Canada Post that never came. The costumer service team was copying and pasting pre-written emails without answering my questions or adressing my concerns. They only said they would do 'follow-ups' with their warehouses to see where my order was at - I never had any more news about my order. Nobody could tell me if it was being processed or sent, when I had already paid almost 200$ for the boots.
After a month, my order was cancelled. They said they didn't have the boots I had already paid for, they were out of stock apparently. That said, they didn't take the time to take the boots off the website. Even now, the boots are still shown as available on their website, but costumer service STILL says the boots are out of stock.
All they had to give me as compensation was a 15% discount code. I spent a MONTH follow up with them and asking when I would get my boots I had paid for. I worried and wondered if I was being scammed. I actually was... I will never buy from this company again!
Lack of respect for customers time and money
I ordered a pair of shoes with the assumption that they would get here within the time frame Steve Madden said. They took too long to start processing the order, so I called to ask if I could change the shipping to expedited, redirect the package to a new address, or cancel the order. They told me none of those things could be done. They have gotten my package shipped several days over their expected processing time, and the package will be arriving too late for me. I will never be ordering from them again since they have no respect for their customers.

I’ve been trying to return shoes, I paid for a returns label, I was charged for the return but never received the label. I’ve been back and forth over email and nobody will help me. Everytime I get a response I’m told to contact a different company and then that company tells me to contact Steve Madden. Nobody will help. Now I’m being told that I need pay €28 to return the shoes through my own postal service even though I’ve already paid €14.45! Steve Madden are a scam. I buy a lot online and have never had these sorts of issues with any other company.

Poor Quality
Steve Madden claims to be a high end shoe but mine fell apart (literally) 6 months after I bought them. I wish I could add a picture… the soles split from one side to the other and the insole slipped down into the crease. I paid so much for them and now I have to just throw them away.
