Brilliant app for maths. My son engages with it well.

This program really does teach your kids math in a thorough but fun way. It has even gotten my son excited about doing flash cards! It does not require a parent or teacher assistance .

This is a great option for kids whose reading and math levels don’t match - there is no reading required but they can go all the way through elementary math at their own pace.

My kids are thrilled; it's their favorite 'game.' Every day they ask for Dad's computer so they can 'play'... I'm also thrilled—little by little they are learning, and not just math, but also English and computer skills. It's a healthy addiction!

I enrolled my kid for Synthesis Tutor when he was in grade 2. We find the teaching method is innovative and he learned a lot with fun. He asked to do Synthesis again and we found it is about time to join Synthesis Team. It was a great experience and he looked forward to to go online every day to complete the tasks and engage. He felt greatly encouraged every time he got endorsed by the peers. I highly recommend every student to try Synthesis Team.

Weirdly positive experience with these folks. The app is very good obviously, but that is not the point of the review. Primary experience was that I thought I had canceled but actually did not seem to have in fact canceled. I wrote them an angry email accusing them of failing to honour a cancelation.... and they 1) basically showed that I had not in fact canceled, even though I thought I did, 2) nevertheless refunded nearly a year of payments when it was not being used (it was in fact used for two months during that period, unbeknownst to me).

Anyway this was just *very* surprising behaviour from a company because I am absolutely used to simply being nickeled and dimed by every business I interact with now. Especially in this instance, where it now appears that I had actually dropped the ball and in fact failed to cancel. They also went to the trouble of investigating why I wasn't receiving emails and showed a screenshot of their system showing bounced messages.

Basically just very honourable and impressive customer service and made me immediately trust them and want to actually re-subscribe, though for real this time 😂😂.

We love Synthesis.
We began using synthesis tutor the summer leading into first grade , with the intention of exposing our kids to math in a way that wouldnt interfere with their learning at school but instead would help our kids feel confident while learning in a classroom next to their peers. We saw such a huge improvement in our kids confidence at school- he was participating, not shutting down with new information anymore. He started embracing school . We like to use synthesis during summer, winter and spring break- to maintain his studies off campus. This year we were able to do the synthesis camp, and we loved the experience. He learned to work in teams and developed confidence in different human skills with the help of AI.
He is in 3rd grade and has been using it for two years, he is MAP testing at the top of his class.

I think synthesis is a great tool to expose your child to learning in a no pressure environment so that they can learn to succeed when pressure arises.

Highly recommend trying it.

My son Martin had a genuinely valuable experience with Synthesis Summer Camp. At first, he sometimes struggled with the uncertainty of the challenges, working with different personalities, and figuring out his place on the team. But that was exactly where the growth happened. As the camp progressed, I watched him become more engaged, confident, and comfortable collaborating with others.

The experience went far beyond solving games or puzzles. Martin practiced communicating, managing frustration, adapting when things did not go as planned, and working through problems as part of a team. I told my husband that it almost resembled adult work life. I regularly join calls with different personalities and encounter many of the same teamwork challenges that Martin was learning to navigate at such a young age.

Synthesis gave him a safe place to practice those skills while he is still young. He came away with lessons that I believe will serve him in school, friendships, sports, and eventually the workplace. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience for us. Although we cannot fit it into our schedule year-round, we will absolutely return next summer.

Summer camp was a truly wonderful experience for our 2 daughters... they loved it, made new friends, and were fully engaged throughout. The coaches and support team were amazing... gently guiding the experience while letting the children figure it all out amongst themselves. A unique and rewarding experience for them. Our girls have continued on with the monthly teams program. Highly recommend!!

We signed our 8 year-old son for the Synthesis Summer camp. It was his first experience using a laptop, mouse, web browser etc. He picked up all those skills very quickly and within a day was managing and scheduling all his Synthesis sessions. He was so engrossed in the content, the games, the discussions with other kids. He would participate in multiple sessions a day. It was truly amazing to see the ownership he took so much so that we signed him up for Teams and plan to continue with Teams as an afterschool activity once school starts. The whole concept and design of Synthesis is pretty spectacular and exactly what we have been looking for in an educational program. the team work, collaboration, discussions, and ambiguity in problem solving are all skills for now and the future. I can't wait to see what other offerings Synthesis may offer in the future. We highly recommend Synthesis.

My two boys (ages 11 and 9) absolutely loved the Synthesis Summer program. For the first time, I never had to remind them to log in—they eagerly joined on their own and often participated in multiple sessions each day. It was incredible to see how much their confidence grew over the course of the program. They became noticeably more comfortable contributing to discussions, expressing and presenting their ideas, and engaging thoughtfully with others. It was wonderful to watch them mature in both their communication skills and their confidence. Thank you for creating such an engaging and meaningful learning experience for them.

Synthesis has been great for my normally quiet, shy kid - she’s grown in confidence, for sure, all while having fun playing games. I wish I had learned about it sooner, so my older child could have tried Synthesis, too!

Synthesis gave not only my daughter, but me as well, the tools, confidence, and even enthusiasm to learn math.

Our daughter is on the autism spectrum, and she truly thrived with a program that builds on her strengths instead of focusing on her mistakes. One of her biggest challenges has always been retaining previously mastered skills while moving on to new concepts. With Synthesis, I never felt like she was being left behind—it always seemed to “catch her” exactly where she needed support.

We also loved the flexibility. We could move between different math topics whenever we wanted, which was incredibly helpful during periods of burnout. That freedom kept learning fresh and enjoyable rather than frustrating.

She completed the entire program spending just 15 minutes a day on lessons and games. As a homeschooling parent who lacks confidence in teaching math, Synthesis was an incredible gift. It made math feel approachable for both of us.

I recommend Synthesis to everyone I know. I honestly haven’t found anything else quite like it.

Have tried lots of other math apps with my 7 year old daughter, and while some of them are able to keep her attention and are decent enough for practice… they really don’t do a great job of actually teaching new concepts.
Honestly, Tutor is just on a different level in this respect. I love the way that the lessons are designed to be super interactive, adaptable, and that they are constantly getting her to think deeply about what she is learning.
The Tutor also has a wonderfully warm tone, which my daughter absolutely loves and we are always excited when we log in to find new lessons for her to explore!

My son has both dyslexia and dyscalculia and keeping him on grade level has involved nonstop tears and frustration....until we tried this. He asks daily (on his own) to do his lessons with this program. This has NEVER happened. We have spent years and a lot of money on various workbooks, programs, tools, and websites. None of it has ever worked for him or helped build his confidence. There has not been a single tear shed doing Synthesis lessons which in itself is amazing. A few days ago he said, "I never understood ______ until today." Our daughter does not struggle in the same ways but despite being very "meh" about math prior to this, she also loves the program. The kids are now competing with each other....to do math....on summer break. Two different kids with varying levels of ability & comprehension are both loving this. My husband and I are absolutely blown away. If you're on the fence about investing into something else, I swear I don't think you'll regret this one.

I'll leave the original review below, but I've adjusted my review based on the fact that someone senior at Synthesis reached out to me overnight and was both transparent and respectful.

It's a good product. It just needs to be scalable along with your child's development and it's not that at the moment.

Started out loving it, but now I'm angry. Bought a 1yr subscription for my 7yr old daughter. She went through the content in 3 months. You'd think she'd then go through to content for 8yr old but no.

I ask customer support (via email) and got a reply from "Desislava Sapunova from Synthesis" who has poor english and omits important words like "on hold" for my account in his reply.

Basically, the system doesn't upgrade you to the next age/capability bracket after you finish the level of content you register them for. So you're not buying a 1yr subscription with upgrading capability as your child progresses, you're buying a age/stage set of content that finishes when your child does.

Desislava's solution was to suspend my account until they have more content for that age bracket. But my daughter has completed that level so how does more of the same improve her capability.

I complained and requested a 9 month refund and have ben totally ignored.

So the tool works. I liked it. My daughter loved doing it. But it's shallow, there's no valuable customer support and I feel ripped off.

Subscription has now been cancelled and I've lost that money I gave over in good faith.

Well, This app has an amazing concept that focuses on something rarely emphasized in other camps or children’s apps: building confidence. The program does an excellent job of encouraging participants, helping them believe in themselves, and teaching them how to work effectively with others.

What I especially appreciate is the positive and supportive environment they create. In addition, the weekly feedback provided to parents is extremely valuable. It allows us to track progress, understand our child’s strengths and areas for growth, and stay involved in their development.

Overall, this is a thoughtful and impactful program that goes beyond entertainment by helping children develop important life skills such as confidence, teamwork, and self-esteem.

My son cannot get past the division assessment although he tried multiple times. It is not due to his division skill but the software has a bug and never moves pass assessment stage. The software is slow, the voice (any voice) is irritating because of the mannerism but you cannot switch it off. After a few weeks my child doesn`t want to play with it.

for my six year old, this is the first "app" or digital resource that really supports her learning, this is so dynamic it actually teaches me about teaching. I wish these people enormous success so they can keep changing education and building a better learning next generation.

Wonderful app. Explains it so clearly and the only one my child is willing to use. It makes maths fun, adapts to theor answers and responses, and makes them feel positive even if they get an answer wrong.
