This was our first visit to the Wakefield bowling alley. It was way too warm, the aircon did not seem to be working. I personally do not like the bowling area. I like to have my own kind of booth. Yes I would go again. But my first choice would be your Dewsbury site. It just seems far nicer

Nice but too hot!
Really nice in there, although expensive! Lanes were quite short, but everything is nice and new. Seating areas for the lanes are quite small so it does feel like you’re very close to the people either side of you. It was also far too warm.

First visit
The game of bowls was great. The only downside of our visit was the wait at check-in (even though we'd booked online) as there was only one member of staff.

Easy booking process
Easy booking process, Friendly staff and great facilities. Had a fun evening with a good midweek deal for a family of four. Enjoyed the bowling and the interactive darts. Will definitely return.

The staff are friendly and amazing
The staff are friendly and amazing. Areas are spotlessly clean. Food was of great quality and served very quickly and I did order loads of chicken baskets. Prices are okay but feel in some areas, on some games, could be checked. Wasn't that busy but it was a Sunday night. Overall, I will definitely be going back to play more bowling, table tennis and pool.

Great experience and good value for…
Great experience and good value for money. Booked the deal with a children’s meal included which was great 👍🏻. Wasn’t too busy at all so felt relaxed and not having to shout to have a conversation. Everything looked clean and tidy and we even won on the claw machines in the arcades after bowling. Would return and recommend to others

Family bowling session
Took the family for a session of bowling. 4adults and 3 kids . Had a great time everyone had a ball ! Ordered a food deal and it was very good and brought to our table . Excellent staff and facilities we will definitely go there again

Very very very rude staff and drinks…
Very very very rude staff and drinks took ages to be ready. We ordered drinks from the lane before our first game of bowling and we had to go and ask twice about them, eventually bringing them back ourselves near the end of our first game - and there were six of us with a couple of young kids, so we weren't going fast!

Great facility
First time we have visited the Tenpin in Wakefield - great to have a new tenpin facility in the city. Very impressed with the facilities there - 24 lanes for bowling plus lots of other arcade games. Had some gift vouchers to use but the online booking system doesn’t accept gift vouchers, so I had to phone to book our lane - luckily there was no fee for our booking. Enjoyable bowling experience - would recommend. Would be even better if parking in Trinity Walk was free with a tenpin booking.

Really had a good time at the brand spanking new Tenpin in Wakefield. It's really what the area needed and was great bowling with undamaged bowling balls and bowling isles.

We were disappointed with our visit
We were disappointed with our visit. During one of our games, the scoring system stopped responding, which meant we had to wait for a member of staff to come over and eventually move us to another lane. As we had only booked a one-hour slot, this ate into our playing time.
Initially, we weren’t given the lost time back, so I had to go and ask for our session to be extended. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t seem particularly attentive, and having to find someone and explain the situation again wasted even more of our allocated time.
Overall, the experience felt rushed and poorly managed. Based on our visit, I wouldn’t recommend booking just a one-hour slot, as any technical issue or delay significantly reduces the amount of time you actually get to play.
