Lovely fabric and people - rubbish delivery company
The fabric I ordered was just what I wanted and just as I expected, beautiful quality herringbone tweed, a lovely colour and it drapes well. Really good. The fabric was sent promptly and was also really well packed - which was just as well as it sat in a delivery van for a whole seven days after it was supposed to be delivered. The delivery company really let the-millshop-online-down, cancelling deliveries twice and just not turning up. Eventually a lovely woman at the-millshop-online talked DX Express into delivering but only after a long and involved set of e-mails and phone calls. So the-millshop-online 5 stars DX Express 0 stars!

We are so sorry that you encountered such a delay in receiving your order from us. We were let down on this occasion by our delivery courier and we apologise sincerely for this. We are pleased to hear that our Customer Service Team were able to help to get this delivery made to you.
We dispatch our orders to our customers as swiftly as we can and this delivery service was not to the standard that we would be expecting our customers to receive. We have taken this up with the Courier Company to try to ensure that this delay does not happen again and I do hope it does not deter you from using our services again.

Quick delivery, great curtains.
Delivery was faster than anticipated/originally stated. Curtains are great and seem to be well made. Pattern and colour on fabric is exactly as expected from pictures online. I expected them to be a little heavier than they are because we chose thermal blackout but they're fine. Very pleased that they arrived ready to hang, including with hooks too. The tiebacks we ordered were not with the curtains but they're sending them later, which is fine as we're glad to have the curtains early (they were the important part).

We are happy to hear that you are pleased with your Made to Measure Curtains. The Blackout Thermal linings are not as thick and heavy as they use to be but are made with more drape so still giving the blackout and insulating thermal properties.
The tiebacks will be with you very shortly and we apologise for the delay on these.

Well…i left a bad review a week ago but that really was due to not receiving my fabric!
However customer services have really done all they could to rectify the problem..my fabric has arrived…very very late but Millshop credited the cost and I kept the fabric which was lovely.

The order came very quick it was very…
The order came very quick it was very well packaged in a roll. Delivery man was friendly and quality of material was lovely. Only thing I would say is that the colour of the print wasn't the same as it looked on line. Although still nice.

We would always strongly recommend that a sample is ordered prior to ordering your fabric.
The fabrics are being views on a backlit computer screen or device which can make them look different and more vibrant often to an actual fabric.
To get a true feel for the colour, texture and weight of a fabric we would always suggest pre-ordering a sample so that you can be sure it is just want you want for your project.

Received the materials in good time and…
Received the materials in good time and happy with the quality.
UOnly downside is that you can only order material in metre lengths. Half metres need to be cut separately and a 70 centimetre size has to be rounded up to nearest metre making it more expensive.

We do cut our fabrics per half metre increment, the half metre is not cut as a separate piece. If you place your full metres in your basket and then add a half metre this will be cut as a continuous piece. ie 3.5m.

Delivery was not very quick
Delivery was not very quick. Also material had a fault in it which I did not notice until I had cut out. I am waiting a response from the Mill shop about this issue.
I have now received a replacement piece of fabric which arrived very quickly and I am pleased with the response and after sales service. Would use them again.

This review is for fabric samples. Given the cost of the samples, they are quite small and don’t adequately show the pattern or even a full range of the colours in the fabric.

Thank you for your feedback.
Due to the rising costs of yarns and materials we do charge a nominal fee for our samples but these are shipped with no further charge.
Our normal samples are 18cm x 12cm and we do try to cut these so that the sample shows as much of the pattern or colour range as possible. We show the whole pattern on the fabric information page on our website and we also offer a larger sample of a full width and a half metre length for customers that would like to see a bigger piece before deciding if the fabric is right for their project.
