I attended the two-day basic cake decorating course and it exceeded all my expectations. Excellent excellent excellent.

I attended the Professional Wedding Cake class last week and have to say it was a brilliant course. Lou, our Tutor, was very patient with all of us four students and gave us some great tuition and tips on the best ways of cake icing. Thanks very much. Also to Lesley, who helped out on the last day.

Very good glass taught at a good speed with loads of great tips on how to correct mistakes!

Attended Basic Cake Decorating course in January - excellent nice small class of 4 students so get individual help and advice. Lots of practical tips received and class notes were very practical step by step with lots of extra material included. An excellent 2 day course. Enjoyed it so much have signed up to do their 3 day wedding cake course.

I did the 3 day wedding cake course. It was absolutely brilliant! All my questions were answered, I got some great tips and came away feeling more confident with cake decorating.

I did the basic cake decorating and thought it was brilliant! It caters for all levels of beginners to mid range and is so helpful. I found Lou very patient her knowledge is incredible. With small classes she is able to help on a one on one basis and is friendly and helpful answering any question relating to any element of cake baking not just the course content. I can't recommend this course enough and you get a written guide as well which explains everything you've done in class so you always have a base to work from. It was a great 2 days and I really can't praise the course and Lou enough!

I had never baked a cake let alone iced & decorated one!
I honestly didn’t think I would achieve all of the above in 2 days!
I am very thankful, impressed & grateful for the level of knowledge & skills that Lou is so happy to share, she oozes motivation & inspiration!
I loved every minute it was brilliant, friendly & great fun!

Brilliant class. Handy tips were picked up, friendly teaching staff at hand for any advice required. The class tuturial is very detailed, more than I expected.

As a complete novice to cake decorating I was bowled over by the one day experience of making wired roses and my own accomplishment by the end of the day!
The teaching was excellent - well paced and with excellent personal tuition at the inevitable moments of making a mess of things so that the learning was deep. The skill of 'teacher' is so impressive and she has the ability to share it and sow seeds of true inspiration in her class. I now have to practise the practical skills drawing on the principles we were given - and then try experimenting!
I have already recommended the Cake Makery school to others and I look forward to returning for another one of the classes before too long.

I booked onto this course last summer.

My mother in law sadly passed away suddenly, as a result I didn’t feel any compassion from the company when I had to cancel at the last minute. I would have been happy to pay the cost of ingredients and for the brochure I was provided with afterwards, but I felt it was unacceptable that I didn’t receive any form of refund, this course cost me £280.

Customer service was not good.

What a brilliant experience! I loved the class and left feeling so positive and proud of my accomplishments. Bearing in mind I had no previous experience of stacking cakes, ganache or sugarpaste, I was amazed at what I achieved.

Lou provided excellent tuition, demonstrations and tips, and with support from Lesley, it was an informal and friendly atmosphere.

The PDF file is comprehensive, with plenty of photos, and easy to follow instructions and information. Elly also took beautiful professional photos of our handiwork for us to keep.

The class was so enjoyable and informative, I will definitely be signing up for more classes in the future.

Have attended two courses at The Cake Makery and learned so much. Both sessions were enjoyable, set in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and when I left I was so keen to put my new skills into use. Learning from such an experienced cake maker (Lou) and supported by her warm and friendly staff was such a joy. I would definitely recommend you visit The Cake Makery to learn lots of great cake decorating skills.

This is third class I have attended an all have increased my skill levels, so many helpful tips an expertise is shared. Will continue to practice everything I have learned an I will be back for more.

What fantastic women.....

We had such generous and expert teaching and a fun time while learning the basics of cake decorating. There was so much packed into the two days but there was also time to sort out any queries we had.

I came away eager to put into practice everything I had learnt.
