No care for investors.

This is a very delayed review but I got an email advert re them today and I remembered I had actually never left a review.

On the third time of lending out my money, they lost it and despite me requesting, they sent no proof at all that they had ever made any serious attempt to recover my money via debt collection. Their email responses would take forever, and most of the time what was sent was a pointless endeavour. I figured I may lose a bit here and there over the years but I did not figure I would lose the entire capital invested inside a few months.

Thank you for getting in touch and for sharing your concerns. We’ve reviewed your lending account and can confirm that you invested with us in 2017, participating in five loans. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has not been positive.

It’s important to note that lending through The Money Platform involves risk, and capital is not guaranteed. We make this clear throughout the investor journey — for example, our website prominently states: “Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose money. This is a high-risk investment.” We also include multiple reminders of the potential for loss during sign-up and require all investors to complete a short knowledge test to ensure these risks are understood.

Diversification plays a key role in managing risk. Our recent data shows that 97% of lenders who invest in more than 50 loans are in profit, while this figure falls to less than 70% for those investing in fewer than 10 loans. Participating in a just few loans means lenders become more exposed to individual borrower outcomes.

I want to assure you that your outstanding loan was actively followed up and escalated through our debt collection process. A small partial recovery was achieved and distributed to your account.

However, we recognise that you ultimately experienced a loss of around £100, and we sincerely regret that this has been your outcome. We also take on board your feedback about communicating this process better.

We are continuously improving our credit decisioning and borrower assessment to reduce return volatility and better protect lenders, particularly those with smaller portfolios. A great deal has evolved since your 2017 investment, but your feedback remains valuable in helping us improve further.

Thank you again for taking the time to reach out — your experience matters to us and has been escalated to the team.

had a loan with this company, The money i was paying back a month was a bit to high for me,i rung them up they cut My payment in half but obviously extended it for a bit longer with no added interest and no report to my credit file,i wasn't expecting that, couldn't be happier with them 👍

Hats off to this company

Hats off to this company, they are very helpful and most of all very understanding. I can't thank them enough, they trusted and lend the money. Will definitely apply for the loan from them when ever I needed. Brilliant service, helpful, reliable and top understanding.

Very honest company

I'm going to be honest i never write reviews but TMP have been the best company i have ever used, they do not judge your credit score harshly and give you a chance to actually get accepted to their loans in most cases. I was late on certain occasions and they were very patient and cordial towards me about it, yes there are late fees but they are not harsh like other companies and give you due time.
