Interesting business model. Charge for the service and then do not provide it.

Stay away from these crooks.

Shambles of a company. Their customer service is horrendous although I'm sure it's not the fault of the agents on the phone. There is nothing worse than a company blatantly lying to you and trying to put the blame on you for not being able to provide the service they say they will. No escalation of any sort, just we will contact you next week with an update on when your bin will be collected. Recently received communication that they are transferring my service to another company. I'm not surprised and can at least say the other company can't be any worse.

Worst Bin/recycling company around Dublin.
Don't collect bins and when called to ask why they blatantly lie. They will tell you a rescheduled date for collection and again not show up.
I would strongly advise, stay well clear of them. They will also charge 15euro per bin to be collected if you cancel them.

Absolutely disgraceful. Skip was meant to be collected on Tuesday. Multiple calls and emails and were told everyday “ sorry there was a delay. It will be collected today and the driver will text”. It is now saturday, and we were promised it would be collected first thing. Will never use again

I would give it zero if l could. Placed an order online for delivery. Skip never arrived, l rang on 3 occasions that day and was told it was out for delivery.
After it wasn’t t delivered l rang again the next day to be told they don’t service my area, even though l could place an order and pay for it. Now have to wait 5 days for a refund.
Asked to speak to a manager who conveniently was never available and never rang me back.
Avoid at all cost, terrible company to deal with.

I have had weekly domestic service from Thorntons for years. However I recently hired two skips for almost 500 euros. They did not collect on time, ignored requests, did not return calls or emails. I had to incur additional costs as builder could not access my driveway due to non collection of skips. I have now cancelled ALL services with them. Their customer support is truly awful.

Abusive to customers, kept waiting twenty mins with no other customers and massive undercount on cans. Avoid at all costs

Extremely poor service. Customer service is a joke. You're problems shouldn't be visited on your Customers. I'll never order from this company again and I'll make sure no one I know will ever order

Very poor service and even worse customer service.
We payed for a skip hire that was to be collected on the third day of drop-off. One week later, four phone call with nothing but lies from Thorntons and still the skip is sitting in our driveway!!
Go with another, please don't waste your time.

Let down for 5 consecutive days for a skip removal, lied to by an agent on the phone. Avoid

Excellent service for our school from Thorntons. Skip had to be delivered at specific time to enable access to school yard and driver arrived on time and kept in touch with caretaker throughout. Spoke to Jude in skip division who was so helpful and professional. Couldn't recommend thus company highly enough.

Worst service ever. I was promised my skip would be collected Monday and then every day after that. By Friday I rang and was assured by HARRY it would be collected in the morning so it wouldn't be in the way for my child's first birthday and they are closed. He flat out lied to avoid a resolution.

My second complaint here, I have been trying to get out of them since December and they are still harassing me. I stop to use them, I moved to another address, and they have not collected anything since December and charging me monthly for the service. The bill is already 82 euros, I told them to stop, there is another company doing the bins there, there are other people living there.

Fantastic experience with Thorntons skips. I ordered the midi skip for a house clear out and found it to be a good size and the cheapest skip on Dublin! The communication from Thortons was excellent they called and text on the day they delivered and then when they were coming to collect but were delayed I also got a text. However they were able to collect on the day so I was very happy to be kept in the loop. As a city bin customer I received a discount also which was much appreciated. If I need a skip in the future I will only be ordering from Thortons!

After a horrendous customer care experience with panda where I had weeks to trying to contact them i called Thorntons got through immediately had my query answered and new price plan set up in minutes! A gentleman had complained here about Thornton's not providing exact weight records of lifts which is not true. I have the app and can see the exact weight every lift! Plus if I've forgotten the bin I've called Thorntons and they've come back to do it for me. 100% recommend Thorntons.

We just got another massive hike to our bill for next year. We are a 2 person house with very little waste (maybe 3x small 25L bin bags in the black bin every 2 weeks). They told us we had over 700kg of waste last year! Unlike greyhound, Thorntons don't provide pickup weight online. We emailed them to ask for the pickup weights for 2023, and their price increase quote was 3.5x the actual weight. (BTW, they email you a *screenshot* of a spreadsheet so it's a pain to calculate it). They are blatantly overcharging. We're now asking for 2022 accounts to see if we were overcharged that year too. We've switched to another company, and if Thorntons think they're getting 45 quid off us to take their bins away, they better be ready for the small claims court.

who sorted out my query and really looked after me. A pleasure to deal with. Bins are always collected on time
and the lads are cheerful and helpful.
Top marks for customer service.

Ordered a skip from them for today, it’s now 5pm and still not here. So not only have I lost a days worth of work, I will have to lose another days wages because now there’s no possible way I can finish what I need to do before they pick it up tomorrow. So disappointed in them. I pointed out how bad this is, no one cares. We’re just wallets with legs to this lot. I’ll be changing my domestic waste providers as a result of this
