Would be zero if possible. They list cars that are not available they take your details, your credit card etc., then advise subject to confirmation. They say they will email quote, but don't they say they will issue confirmation but don't and in fact don't confirm anything at all. Their only phone number takes you to another branches that have no ability to resolve. Eventually when you get to talk to them they advise no cars available leaving you having wasted time for nill result and lost opportunity with other vendors. The listings are just window dressing. Having used other car hire companies Thrifty are a complete joke, their system borders on fraudulent misrepresentation and when it comes down to it the staff really don't give a toss and actually don't care about this negative review either. The only way to change that is for others to vote with their feet and go elsewhere.

My only advise to all is do not just sign on the dotted line . Ask questions be clear. This company will do anything to add insurances etc

John in the Bournemouth office was friendly and helpful. Explained the car efficiently and provided some local information as well. Instructions about the car return process were clear including petrol filling station location.

Great service from both branches, glasgow to stirchley birmingham. New issues with the vehicle all the handover, many thanks to Brian from stirchley branch for making us laugh and recommending the correct size of van for next time

We picked up a car from Alicante…
We picked up a car from Alicante airport. At the desk they pressured us into purchasing an extra damage waiver policy for £180.00 despite us arguing that we already had a policy with AXA and are already covered. They lied and said that our existing policy would not cover us for any damage to the vehicle. I had 2 kids with me and needed to get going quickly so just said yes to the extra excess but only later realised that this is a common Thrifty scam. There were no child seats in the car that we had booked so had to queue again to get those. I couldn't fit the child seat so I went and asked for help at the desk and was told that they can't help me, I basically had to beg to get help because one of the ISO fixings was stuck and wouldn't release - the guy at the desk came over to the car and sort of angrily banged the seat until it released and just seemed really annoyed that I'd bothered him. I left feeling horrible. Well done thrifty for getting an extra £180 out of me but I will never in my life rent with thrifty again.

Excellent service
Excellent service, Brian at the Stirchley branch, kindly ran through all the details and was super helpful. Van was in excellent condition, fully auto with all the gadgets and a nice smooth drive. A very detailed survey with pictures of the vehicle both at collection and return.
