I used Travel China Guide to buy my China rail tickets using their website from the UK. The booking was made most efficiently and the tickets were waiting at my hotel in Shanghai when I arrived - all as promised. Their website is also full of brilliant information on how to find one's way through a Chinese train station and how to interpret a Chinese rail ticket. I thought their service to be excellent.

Had the most memorable vacation thanks to the incredible guides and support personnel. Will definitely use them again for my future trips. Thanks so much

By now, I have used TravelChinaGuide services (both tours and train ticket purchase) a few times in the last 2 years, and each time their service has been absolutely outstanding and impeccable.
They have always met or exceeded the quality promised via their website.

The interaction with them is remarkably smooth: procedures, terms and conditions of their tours and other services are clear. Information on their website is comprehensive, clear and easy to navigate. Communication with their agents is pleasant and they are very polite, kind and helpful.
Response by their agents was very prompt in all cases.

For the tours (I have taken 4 so far, in Xi'an and in the Guilin area) they always provided perfect and timely organization: notification of all steps was given exactly when announced; the Guide always showed up at our hotel exactly at the time expected; the trips developed according to schedule and plan and a couple of contingent unforeseeable situations were handled and solved promptly and satisfactorily by the Guide.

All the Guides who led these tours were absolutely professional persons: knowledgeable, informative, helpful but also friendly, lovely, charming - and discrete.

In one occasion (tour of the Longji Rice Fields) I had one of the best meals I have ever had - anywhere in the world - at a modest family restaurant in a remote village. I really appreciated the chance TravelChinaGuide gave me to sample authentic, not tourist-oriented or tourist-capturing, Chinese food.

Some of the places I visited with TravelChinaGuide are remote and pristine places of stunning beauty and impressive cultural significance - and this is not merit of TravelChinaGuide, but their merit is to offer these small-group tours which allow us tourists to really take in the beauty of the places and savor and perceive people's culture without invading their territories with big, loud hordes of tourists.

Their train booking and ticketing service, which I have also used a few times, both with delivery of the tickets at a Hotel and with pickup at a ticket window in a Railway Station, is impeccable as well.

We booked all the train tickets that we need for the trip in advanced. Travel China Guide purchased them for us when they were available (about one month before the train departure). Some of the specific trains that we choose were not available but they sent us some alternatives and asked us which one we prefer. After some email exchanges all was ok. They sent the tickets to the first hotel of our route, and the day we arrived to Shanghai's hotel the tickets were at the reception. Perfect service, very comfortable, otherwise is not easy to buy the tickets at the station...

For sure, we will use Travel China Guide again if we go to China again.

We booked a two-day tour of Beijing which included the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace as well as a few other amazing attractions around the city. Our tour guide and driver was very professional, and the tour guide's knowledge was excellent. I'd highly recommend Travel China Tours, it also makes a huge difference having a local tour guide. The tour was for my parents, my wife and myself.

Just something to add, the tour guide went beyond the extra mile... my dad lost his cellphone the previous evening while in a taxi. She managed to phone the person that had the phone and helped arrange it's retrieval.

I travelled with my daughter on June.
It was my husband's wishlist to visit his great grandfather's land, however both of us couldn't speak mandarin at all.
When my daughter told us that she booked the trip, we were quite worry because none of us never been to China before.
However, when we arrived there, we really enjoyed the trip.

I booked the land tour on First week of June this year since I cannot speak mandarin.
At first I've a bit nervous because I brought 3young kids and my aging parents.
After communicating with Lexi the consultant, I felt ease. I have been changing the plan so many times back and fort but she never failed to reply and gave me suggestions.
And prior our departure, the guide, Kitty messaged us to make sure everything was alright.
During our trip there, I couldn't feel any worry at all. Kitty was very passionate with the kids, my kids were so happy and looked forward everyday.
She also helped my parents too, we really felt being pampered.
Thus, our trip was very memorable for my family especially my parents who were eager to see China as their bucket list.

TravelChineGuide organized my trip to PDRK from Dandong by train in summer 2018. It was an unforgettable experience. As photographer, I appreciated the the suggestions of the agency to avoid any problem at the borders and in Pyongyang. In addition to the the tour planned with the agency, I went to see a beautiful night show, a park outside the capital and walked in a Pyongyang road for nearly 1 hour with my two "guides" (not so easy to see Pyongyang out of a car....). I took more than 1000 pictures using 3 cameras (also from the train) and had no problems on the way back at the border; I was asked to delete 4 pictures by my two "guides" in Pyongyang. I highly recommend TravelChineGuide if you want travel in PDRK.

I had never heard of Travel China Guide Tours. I found them through an online search. I was hesitant about using them, but I am glad I took that leap of faith!
I was on the 11-day tour, which was very well run Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Shanghai. Candy, the first guide in Beijing met us at the airport. She was very warm and welcoming.
We stayed in Sheraton Hotels on most of the trip. The breakfast buffets were outstanding. You could have a traditional Western breakfast, but you could also have Asian items. You could not eat all the choices (although I tried :).
We hit the major must-sees at each location. There were different guides in each city. Candy, Carol, Wendy, and Ocean, were knowledgeable, gave a lot of insight on local customs and history, and helped you enjoy your time at each stop. Take advantage of the optional night tour in Shanghai. As an aside, don't be afraid to take the subway in Shanghai. The subway is clean, inexpensive, and everything is subtitled in English. Also the stops are announced in English (after the Mandarin announcement). I would take the subway to the airport using the magnetic levitation train--one of the few in the world.
In each city the guides hosted a lunch and or dinner. The food was excellent--a wide assortment of Chinese specialties. However, the highlight was a home-cooked lunch in the apartment of a local Beijing resident.
I recommend this company; I really enjoyed my trip and have memories for a lifetime. I think you will as well.

Travel China Guide Tours provided exceptional service from start to finish. They were very flexible and accomodating as we planned our trip. Even to the point of booking additional nights at the hotels before and after the tour to facilitate our flight schedule.

We used Travel China Guide for a customised 15 day private tour of China for 4 people, and had the most amazing time.

This company is exceptional - I was nervous about using a foreign travel company, but once I started corresponding with Emily, everything quickly fell into place - despite me sending about 20 emails over the course of 4-5 months to tweak different parts of our tours.

I ordered train tickets for my china trip in November 2019 and Travel China Guide Tours was excellent. My tickets were all at my hotel when i arrived from Vancouver and i had no problems at all. The train system in China is amazing. Don't hesitate to use Travel China Guide Tours.

In May 2019, I traveled on the 9-Day tour that visited Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin and Yangshuo. It was nothing short of an unforgettable experience. This was my first time in China and I was the only solo traveler in my group. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and shed many insights into the daily lives of the locals and they had an abundance of stories and facts that kept the group engaged and learning at all times. My group consisted of 14-people and so it was a small enough group that we were all able to get to know each-other over the course of the tour.

The agenda contains all of the necessary destinations for tourists (The Great Wall, Terracotta Army, Elephant Trunk Hill, etc.) as well as many unique places and experiences (visit with a local family, home-cooked meal, etc.) that you would most likely not be able to partake in normally. The part that I liked the most was that after the each day's tour (usually between 5-7pm), you are free to explore the city you are in. The guides are very helpful in this regard as they will give you recommendations on places to go, things to do, and where to eat. Another feature that I liked was the ability to add days on either end of the tour. I added one day onto the beginning so I had two free days to be so

Lastly I would like to acknowledge the customer service of TCG; simply put, they are amazing. During the trip, I had multiple problems ranging from my luggage lock's combination being reset on accident to my return flights being cancelled, which caused me to have to arrange for a hotel in Beijing for a night before I flew home. They were able to assist me with all of these problems while still making the trip a memorable one.

Bottom line: If you are looking for a tour company that meets/exceeds expectations while providing you with a very memorable experience in China, then look no further than Travel China Guide. They have an experienced team and very flexible tours to choose from. I would highly recommend this TCG to anyone traveling to China for the first time as well as anyone who has been but wants to experience China on a more personal level.

I bought a train ticket through Travel China and everything went super smoothly. I had a few questions once I got to China and they answered all of them super fast. Payment was also super easy. Would definitely use their services again.

We have bought train tickets several times at Travel China Guide. It was very easy to find tickets for the connections you are looking for. After purchase we got a voucher, written in English and Chinese. That´s why it was very easy to change the voucher and collect our tickets at the train station in China. The ride on the train was very interesting and exciting. On our next visit we will travel by train again - and we will buy our tickets here.
