Really good experience from start to finish with The Treatment Rooms. The whole team were professional, friendly and made me feel at ease throughout. Everything was explained clearly, the care on the day was excellent, and the aftercare/support since has been spot on as well.

You can tell they genuinely care about the result and about making the whole process as comfortable as possible. Very glad I chose them and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone considering a hair transplant.

The treatment i received was first class. The results are fantastic and i am so glad i had it done. My procedure took from 07.00 to 18.00 on the day and i can say i was not in any pain at all either on the day or after. The aftercare was carefully explained and everything was precisely as the treatment rooms had indicated it would be. Results speak for themselves and i am delighted. Happy to recommend them to anyone considering this procedure. Its your body quality really matters! Get the best.

So, firstly I was recommended by a friend as I looking at having hair added to where it recedes as a widows peak. I reside in the usa and it was a very expensive procedure at least three times the price but i visit the UK every year so went for a consultation.
Dr Fernando made me feel very relaxed and calm and i felt like i was meeting an old friend. Compared to the USA consultation I just had, that was like a used car salesman, with this experience he explained the procedure how it was done and took measurements and even questions i didnt think about... I felt completely safe in his hands, and is something although not a life threatening procedure, trust is a big thing with a stranger with your facial recognition. He numbed the area with minimal pain and checked into make sure i was good, and explained before hand the healing process.. the process took about 4 hours i think for the surgery.... the afterwards care brochure was very well documented, in-fact amazingly even a simpleton like me could figure it out!
i checked in after the first week and they advised me on a few things and the hair slowly grew and now a year later it has completely grown in... i have posted before and after photos for you.... i could not compliment him any higher he done exactly what i paid for and i had full trust in him , mainly due to his experience and confidence in excellent techniques.. i would recommend him in a heartbeat due to his first class staff, professionalism and very adept skills but also his warmth as human being.. you are in the perfect hands of Dr Fernando

I had a consultation with Treatment Rooms.
My concern is strictly about pricing transparency. The clinic’s website lists £5–6 per graft for standard cases and £8–10 per graft for repair cases.

Prior to the consultation, I asked in writing about pricing for a partially shaven or long-hair (unshaven) transplant of 2,500–3,000 grafts. In response, the clinic stated that a two-day procedure typically ranges between £10,000–£16,000, depending on complexity.

Following the consultation, my case was assessed as a straightforward, non-repair case requiring approximately 1,700–1,900 grafts, fitting within a one-day procedure. I was then quoted:

• £10,200–£11,400 for a fully shaven procedure
• £17,000–£19,000 for a minimal/unshaven procedure

This places the unshaven quote for a one-day, sub-2,000 graft case above the upper end of the previously quoted range for a two-day, 2,500–3,000 graft unshaven case.

After raising this discrepancy, I was directed back to the website, which still does not reflect the pricing I was quoted.

I am not commenting on surgical skill, only on the inconsistency between advertised pricing, written correspondence, and consultation quotes. I would strongly encourage clearer and more transparent pricing so patients can make informed decisions before paying for a consultation.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Vara and all the team at The Treatment Rooms. From initial contact, through consultation, surgery & post surgery, the care & expertise has been phenomenal. Yesterday I had my hair transplant at The Treatment Rooms and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything went. I wanted to share this because the whole team deserves the highest respect for the care they gave me throughout the day.

I was pretty nervous that morning. It was my first ever surgery and I had no idea what to expect, but Dr Vara and the team made me feel calm from the moment I arrived. Even the anaesthesia injections weren’t anywhere near as bad as I’d imagined. Just a quick prick, and after that I didn’t feel a thing for the rest of the day.

In the afternoon they set me up with Netflix, and I was so relaxed I actually drifted off to sleep, which honestly shocked me given how nervous I’d been earlier.

Every member of staff I met was kind, reassuring, and genuinely professional. It makes such a difference when you feel looked after by people who actually care.

Before choosing them, I did look at a few other clinics in London, including one some friends had used. But what really sealed it for me was meeting the actual surgeon who would be operating on me during my pre-op, rather than going through consultants or sales people. It gave me a lot of trust and confidence. Their results also stood out to me. The before-and-afters looked the most natural by far, and the consistent five-star reviews spoke for themselves.

And on a lighter note, even lunch was great. I was looked after so well it felt like being treated like royalty.

I was seriously considering a hair transplant for over a year and visited six different clinics in London, mostly in Harley Street and west London. After a lot of due diligence and research, I found the treatment rooms and I can wholeheartedly say, this clinic is the gold standard for hair transplants in London (probably the world).

From the first consultation, I was filled with confidence. I did not speak with any “consultants” (sales people). I spoke directly to Dr. Fernando, who was my surgeon. Dr. Fernando had a good cultural understanding of a black man’s hairline, which was important to me and I felt was lacking in other clinics.

I’ve heard horror stories about the pain of this procedure, but after the first few minutes of discomfort while they numb the area, it’s pretty painless. I was sleeping for the first half of the procedure while they worked on the back of my head (donor area), and then I was watching Netflix on their widescreen TV while they worked on my hairline.

They have a very positive company culture and the customer service was exemplary. Everyone I met was on the same page - super professional, friendly, and reassuring.

The difference between the treatment rooms and the other clinics I visited is night and day, economy vs first class. I’m not able to give them any feedback on how to improve their service because they didn’t put one foot wrong. From pre-op to post-op care, they really go the extra mile. If I didn’t find them, the other clinics would have over harvested my donor area, they all quoted 1,500 - 2,000 grafts. Dr. Fernando was thorough and honest in his assessment and estimate 300-400 grafts, which was correct.

I don’t often give reviews, especially not long ones, but these guys are exceptional, and I can’t thank them enough.

If you’re looking for the best and care about your hairline, don’t waste your time looking any further than these guys, honestly.

I’ve spent many years researching a hair transplant clinic and visited a few. A friend (who had fantastic results) referred me to Dr R Vara who I met early last year. The practice is well run, staff are very professional and Dr Vara spent time explaining in much detail about what I could expect and help managed my expectations accordingly. I felt immediately comfortable and knew that this was the person and practice I would entrust my hair transplant to.

As soon as my diary allowed I booked my treatment and had my surgery yesterday. From the minute I arrived I was made to feel comfortable and time was taken to talk through what would be done in meticulous detail.

The pre-op procedures and information was provided prior to the surgery and the post op process procedure is very clear and thorough this gives me further comfort that I’m extremely good hands and in professional hands.

The day itself went as expected and although I was very nervous prior at no time did I feel concerned from the time I arrived or was I uncomfortable during the surgery. The day felt like it went extremely quickly helped by watching a series on TV in the afternoon.

The entire team are very experienced and professional and I cannot recommend them more and they reason the team has industry awards.

The whole staff at The Treatment Rooms were brilliant from the beginning to end. I needed a repair transplant following a bad result at another clinic, and I am extremely happy that I chose The Treatment Rooms to fix it. They were professional, kind, informative and their results speak for themselves. I highly recommend them!

I first consulted with Dr. Fernando virtually in March 2022 about my receding hairline. After our discussion, he sent a detailed email with his assessment and recommendations. I had many questions about FUE versus FUT, which he answered promptly. We then scheduled an in-clinic appointment for late May 2022, as earlier dates were postponed due to COVID-19 in my household.

During the visit, Dr. Fernando assessed my donor site and discussed my goals, explaining that I might need more grafts than could be done in one session but assured me they would proceed safely.

In September 2022, I arrived at the clinic early on a Friday. After preliminary checks, we designed my new hairline. Once agreed, the extraction began under local anaesthetic. I lay face down and dozed while they worked. Lunch was a delicious spread from M&S or Waitrose, with my choice of savoury dish, crisps, fruit, and a chocolate bar. In the afternoon, the grafts were inserted while I watched Netflix. The entire procedure took about 10 hours, with 1,500 grafts completed. Dr. Fernando and the team were incredibly kind and professional, making me feel like family.

Unfortunately, two days later, I lost around 200 grafts in an accident—I walked into a tree! Dr. Fernando did his best to reinsert what could be saved, but the majority of the area that was hit remained damaged. Recovery took longer due to irritation, and I was prescribed an antibiotic cream. Eventually, everything settled, and I waited to see the results.

Over the next year, I had follow-ups, and by September 2023, we agreed on a revision to repair the damage and add density. The second procedure in November 2023 was just as smooth, now in their new premises. Recovery was perfect this time, and while I paid a nominal fee for the revision due to the earlier accident, the experience was excellent.

A year later, my hairline looks fantastic—denser and fully settled. At my one-year checkup yesterday (26/11/2024), Dr. Fernando was delighted with the progress and noted that further improvements are still to come.

This journey has been life-changing, boosting my confidence and allowing me to explore hairstyles I’d never considered. Huge thanks to Dr. Fernando and the team at The Treatment Rooms for an outstanding experience!

My story:

I am a 60 year old male who has over the years had some bad experiences with hair transplants.

Apologies that this is a lengthy review, but I think it is important to share my experiences with others considering a hair transplant (HT.)

Back in the early 1990's, I was receding at the temples and I responded to an advert in the national press about a HT at a clinic in Central London.

To cut a long story short, I had the old FUT plug procedure and the results were absolutely awful with limited hair coverage and scarring. Post op, I was fortunate that I was able to cover the transplants with my existing hair.

Then in the mid 1990's, I went back to the same clinic and had a second procedure which they promised would improve the first surgery. Unfortunately, it was again unsuccessful and a waste of time and money! Once they had my money, they didn't seem to care about the outcomes or the affect on an individual.

Thereafter, for many years, I deeply regretted having gone through either procedure and at that stage I vowed I would never do so again.

For many subsequent years, I was able to cover up the temples using my existing hair, hair thickeners and plenty of hair lacquer. I was very conscious of my hair style and daily had to endure people's eyes drifting to my hair during conversations.

As a result, I lost all self confidence and outside work would always wear a baseball cap.

Then, around 3-4 years ago, my hair loss seemed to accelerate. So much so, that I couldn't even use thickener as there wasn't enough natural hair to create a platform for the thickener. I was left in a dilemma as I needed some sort of rectification.

I considered a hair piece, but dismissed this as I felt that such wouldn't solve my confidence crisis as I believed people would easily know it wasn't natural.

Finally, after much soul searching, I reluctantly and very nervously (after my previous HT experiences) decided to try a transplant again as techniques had improved over the years.

As you can imagine, I extensively researched clinics across the country as I was desperate to find the best clinic with the best chance of success.

As a result, I came across the Treatment Rooms in Putney with their excellent reviews.

I then plucked up enough courage to make contact and I can now say it was the correct decision!

I had an initial telephone chat and then a face to face consultation with one of the surgeons - Dr Fernando. What an exceptionally nice man!
He was thorough from the beginning, highlighting the expectations and limitations of surgery with my substantial hair loss.

What a difference between two clinics!

In June 2022, I had my first 2000+ grafts covering the frontal area using the FUE techniques which grew very well after 12 months and cover my temple areas.

Then, last August 2023, I had another 2000+ grafts transplanted again using FUE in the mid scalp area. These again have grown very well over the last 12 months and I'm really happy with the results.

In conclusion, Dr Fernando, Dr Vara and the whole team are first class!

Yes, the procedure itself can be a long day, but it is made easier by the friendliness of all the staff. Otherthan the pain of the initial injections, it is a pain free procedure.

If you are considering a HT, then I would thoroughly recommend The Treatment Rooms, Putney.

This is one of the best things I have ever done.

Writing three months in, the results are phenomenal. It’s taken 5-10 years off me, my wife is delighted, my family are amazed, friends are unsure quite what’s happened but are saying I look great.

But what motivates me to review The Treatment Rooms is how incredibly impressive they all are from start to finish. This might be the best service I’ve ever bought - it’s like buying an Apple product in an Apple store, but without the crowds. The website was clear and informative. The appointment-setting was efficient. They were extremely patient speaking to me and my wife about the pros and cons of having the op just after her ceasarian section (to put the recovery period during my paternity leave). They call you a few days before the op to check that you’re doing your pre-op routine.

The day itself ran like a smoothly-oiled machine. Always a surgeon and one of the extremely impressive assistants working on my scalp, to get the most possible hairs out and back in. The interaction within the surgical team was extremely professional, respectful and reassuring - they are clearly absolute experts who work together very well. I slept for much of it, chatted / listed to podcasts / watched Netflix for much of the rest. I actually enjoyed the day!

The after-care is superb (and they’ve already taken your money by this point). Very clear instructions given verbally and on paper “day by day”. They phone you on the day you need to change your regimen, to ensure that you change. They check-in to ask how it’s going.

The whole experience was vastly better than (for example) a minor private operation I had more recently, which suffered opaque pricing, a good and smooth-talking surgeon, but some faffing between surgeon and nurse during the operation itself, no written aftercare instructions, and no call to check in after the operation.

Neither I not any other reviewer can compare them against any other hair-transplant operators. But as The Treatment Rooms’ service is essentially perfect, I cannot see why you would look elsewhere.

1 year since my hair transplant
Like I suspect many here I researched extensively clinics both in and around London and also abroad in the Continent. I consulted remotely with two other clinics alongside the Putney based "Treatment Rooms London".
I felt no pressure from Dr Vara and he answered all my questions clearly and honestly. The clinic is not the cheapest but is also not the most expensive. Their results, the awards, their website info and testimony are all clear to see. Why take the likely significant risks posed by going abroad or going to a cheap clinic ? I had a couple of F2F consultations before deciding to go with this clinic and immediately felt well supported and informed.
My hair loss was a Norwood 4 and my objectives fairly clear. Scheduling a day for the procedure was straightforward
The procedure was the best part of a day and I was amazed by the professionalism with both Surgeons involved and 3 or 4 further support staff in the room checking hair suitability before implant. Lunch was provided and I was given options of watching a big screen TV/Netflix and music of my choice or just chat and chill. There was no pain at all which was another miracle
Post op care was explained and easy to follow and despite expecting it could take a year go get good hair growth, it actually only took a few months.
Both the surgeons and I are very pleased by the outcome. The wife says I am a new man...
I suppose one of the best compliments I can make on the result is that I cannot remember the look of the person before the hair transplant. It seems to me a different person and as if my scalp is 10-15years younger.

It's been over a year now and had a great experience. Dr Vara was very knowledgeable and good at answering questions and making everything super clear. On the day, I felt very looked after and the whole team gave a friendly and reassuring service. In terms of the results, I'm super happy - I was before for many years taking finasteride and biotin/saw palmetto supplements and felt they had taken me as far as they could. Post op I have stuck to it along with Minoxidil and have had a great result. Throughout the period, the clinic were always on hand to answer questions. Would very much recommend, both having the procedure and doing it with Treatment Rooms.

I wrote a review back in 2021 in regards to having a hair transplant at The Treatment Rooms. I will stress this review will be detailed.

On 26th OCTOBER 2023, after several consultations with Dr Fernando, this was the day I was having my surgery.

Leading up to the surgery, I cannot impress upon the amount of detail and guidenace provided to me by Dr Fernando and his patient co ordinator Alviera. I was sent a personalised plan leading up to the surgery which I followed to a tee. This helped, the portal link sent to me explained what will take place, the surgery itself, and medical care. You must read everything in that document.

On the day of the surgery, I was met by Dr Fernando and discussed how the day will unfold. He took his time in prepping me, and this is what makes this place professional, its the attention to detail, which made me feel very confident. His passion for what he does, really makes you feel at ease.

Meeting the entire team, again what a nice bunch of people. There was a real team effort and a real sense of pride at this clinic. The passion showed by everyone is evident. I genuienly was made to feel special and they surgery itself went seemlessly.
Dr Fernando and Dr Vara were exceptional, and not to mention Georgi, Amity, Bev and Romana and Alviera.

Once the surgery was complete, I was looked after, it wasnt a case of surgery done off you go. It was nice to sit with staff and talk.

I was given a personalised guide on the post treatment. This guide is now my bible, it has been set out, that everything is well thought out and planned.
All the aftercare needs are in the material provided.

The level of detail was impressive.

Even now I have recieved emails from the clinic asking how I am.

It is now day 5 for me, and so far I am happy with my results, I have had minimal soreness and itchyness (this is down to the guide).

My experience here has been exceptional. I would recommend this clinic as the best.
