We've used United Carpets for years and had 90% of our house carpeted/ flooring layer by the company. The salesmen are very knowledgeable and so helpful and patient and they aren't pushy. You ask a question and they answer and will leave you to think about it. Never had a cancelled appointment once we've made our choice and the fitters are always lovely and boy do they know what they are doing. Very professional. I'd recommend United Carpeys to anyone.

The ordering was done straight away. The carpet was fitted within a week. The fitters were in and out within an hour. Excellent service would definitely use again

Store called on the day to say when they pulled the vinyl the day before 29.09.23 they noticed it was ripped.. I ordered the flooring 30.09.23. Surely they should have taken my order at that time and placed it to one sde. Invoice wasn't itemised just gave a reference to the roll location.i have requested an itemised bill 3 times. I selected a brown carpet but was filled a grey one. Tried to resolve on the day and the day after. My communication to resolve has been ignored. The staff would not accept they had selected the wrong carpet. They didnt even give a product number I believe they changed the roll at the location specified, after all it was a month between me selecting the carpet and them cutting for the order.I tried to resolve at store level. Apparently its my fault. My photos are wrong i cant tell the difference between grey snd brown. ( my home is neutral browns. I detest grey snd stated that at the time of order) its all about perception! Now I stuck with with something I'd rather not have. If you do use them get EVERYTHING ITEMISED WITH PRODUCT CODES AND PHOTOS.

Having used the Derby branch for a new bedroom carpet and being impressed by the service from start to fitment, it was an easy choice to go back for another new bedroom carpet . Again, very pleased and would recommend.

I went into United Carpets in Derby, and the store manager Joe helped me with my order. He was very polite and offered me some professional advice on my carpet choice and doorbars. The price was good and it didn't take long to put the order through. I felt Joe went above and beyond with his customer service, and I will definitely be a returning customer

Store experience was OK. But pricing is not transparent and free fitting deal is bogus.

Fitters are not necessarily employees of the store/chain. Quality will vary.

With my job. The fitters came then left to go do another job then came back much later same day and seemed in a rush. The finish of the job was pretty good, but little bits could have been a better..

The products were good quality though.

They don't even deserve one star. I would give them 0 star if I could.
Getting laminating floor done by United Carpets was waste of money and time. Their sales person was very deceitful. They don a dodgy job and left my floor in mess. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. 😠😡😠😠

Ordering in store and delivery/fitting was no problem.
After the premium underlay and carpet were fitted, the fitters left two bags of off cuts for us to dispose of, which were wrapped up and kept in the garage.
Allowing a few weeks for the new carpet and adhesive smells to dissipate, there remained a distinctive and horrible odour for, what turned out to be, months afterwards.
Communications with the store via phone brought this to their attention, as the smell was replicated in the two bags of off cuts I still had. I even took one of these bags into the store, who could also agree was strange.
Various attempts to communicate between the store, the carpet and underlay suppliers took another two months with me having to chase them up every two weeks. The store kept saying they would let me know, but I never received one phone call from them.
An independent inspector came out eventually, and noted that there was damp in one corner of the room. This was from the previous owners of the property, and the source of which was identified and rectified. However, it takes more than a few days for the readings to go down, as it was deep into the concrete.
A representative from the underlay suppliers even came out and took away some off cuts for testing in a lab.
Again, no comms were received from anyone, so another call was made to the store. This was when I was told that the cause of the smell was likely to be from the dampness in the concrete. Although they proposed to potentially replace the underlay, but only if I could remove the potential dampness cause. This I disbelieved, because the off cuts in the bags also had the same smell, but these had not even been near the concrete!! There was clearly an chemical interaction between the carpet and underlay materials, but no one was willing to own up to this.
The carpet was fitted in June, and in October the smell was still evident. We’ve had to reside on using loads of air fresheners and unwillingly used other carpet freshening products to mask the odour.
I’ve given up on United Carpets due to appalling customer support.

From the visit to the shop, through the measuring and fitting. I was treated with politeness and kindness. My home was totally respected and I am thoroughly pleased with the quality of the carpet and underlay. I have used United Carpets on many occasions over the years and highly recommend them.

Excellent service by Joe, was given really good advice and information in store to Joe fitting my carpert throughout my property to an excellent standard and price. Would highly recommend United Carperts and ask for Joe as he went above and beyond for my requirements.

I have had 3 carpets in our current house and 3 in our previous house and have always found the sales people very polite and helpful and would highly recommend this company.

Once again excellent service at the Derby store by Joe who was very helpful with advice and accommodating to our needs.
