Love the carpet
Love the carpet but was slightly disappointed that the fitter left 2 of the 4 doors on the landing unable to close so my husband ended up re-fixing the metal fastenings on those doors, also he left a big rubbish bag at the side of the bin without asking us if we minded which would have been acceptable but as we didn’t know it was there it got wet and blew all down the side of the house also we never got a receipt that we were promised that the fitter would give us.

Great value for money. Whole house now carpeted through United Carpets. Staff are knowledgeable and give great advice and offers. Ant does a great job everytime and always leaves things tidy.

Good choice of carpets in a range of colours, patterns, quality etc. Prices are sensible as well. The staff are always friendly and helpful and there is no pressure selling. Always happy to purchase our carpets from here knowing we will be satisfied with the carpet, the price and the service.

Good in store, bad fitters
Sales guy in store was very nice, very helpful, very useful. Sorted me out.
Carpet fitters tore my wallpaper in multiple places, didn't even fit the carpet everywhere and it has a rise in it in the middle.
Never again.

The staff were very helpful and efficient.
The order came through relatively quickly. The fitters who laid the carpets were also very helpful and personable. A positive experience all round and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them

Very helpful staff
I have used this branch several times now for both carpet and vinyl flooring and the staff and fitters are always professional and do an excellent job. Today I called into the store for a couple of roll ends for my Narrowboat, the staff went above and beyond, helping me find the correct sizes and carrying the carpet to my car. I would highly recommend this company.

Fitters ruined the experience
The showroom experience was fantastic. Helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for me.
The delivery and install however was horrific. The organised window for this process was a specific hour on the day. The fitter called me in the morning to say that it would be later within that hour, which is fine. They eventually turned up 1 hour and twenty minutes after that slot. The new grippers that I’d paid for couldn’t be installed because his nails weren’t hard enough, my old carpet and underlay was my problem to dispose of ( I understand this as I work with contractors that need waste transfer notes but I’ve never had to do it with other carpet retailers). Not only did I have my rubbish to dispose of, I was left with a bag of cut offs and other bits that the fitters didn’t need. My impression of the fitters was that they just wanted to end their day and go home, which while understandable was not the service I paid for.
Ultimately, I’m now happy with my carpet but I will never use United Carpets again, the fitters completely ruined the experience.

The staff in the shop remembered me and gave me a great deal. The date was arranged convenient to me and it was easy to rearrange. Very friendly carpet fitter that I've used before and did another great job. Very tidy too
