Great experience
Staff were kind and welcoming, really helpful and prices were great! cheapest place we found and got good quality flooring. found a date very quickly considering how booked up they were and my busy work schedule!

In store was good, the fitter was miserable and has fitted the wrong door strip. I haven’t had time to go in stores to complain. It very uncomfortable to stand on

Very poorly fitted vinyl
Vinyl floor has air bubbles and isn't adhered. They used 2 thickness of plywood so there's a visible drop. Wrong colour metal strip. And marked and scratched a wall.

Poor fitting, poor service
I purchased my carpets from the Wakefield store. The service i received from the fitters was less than satisfactory the carpets have areas where they're too loose and areas where the carpet bulges. I also have bits of carpet causing humps under the carpet. The fitters don't remove there rubbish or clear / hoover the carpets. The expectation of the fitters and the store is that it is the responsibility of the customer to prepare the floors for the fitters even if they don't advise you of that before you purchase the carpets. All in all they won't be getting any referrals from me or any new business

Room and bedroom carpets
Just had mother in-laws room carpet fitted and bedroom carpet other week.
All the staff at Wakefield store were so helpful nothing was too much trouble,came out to measure the stairs as well,great range of carpets to choose from and no pressure selling.
The carpet fitters have done a great job in both rooms and left it all clean and tidy.
Great service all round 👍👍Thank you all .

United Carpets
The sales person did not explain that any doors would not be removed by fitters. He was patronising with dated comments as part of the sales patter. The fitters were rude, messy and rammed the carpet under the doors with no offer of door removal. They left our bathroom in a soiled and unhygienic state.

I would have rated 5 stars but…
I would have rated 5 stars but unfortunately I was disappointed with how the carpet was fitted and had to have the fitters back out. Due to the carpet not been stretched and fitted correctly under the door plates. However the customer service side of things was spot on from choosing carpets having them come out and give a quote and being quick in recieving the products in store. I was told I would be waiting approx 3 weeks for it to come in but came into store a week later. Staff very friendly in store. Though I would still use United carpets in the future.

they were 2 hours late in coming but once they arrived were quick in fitting it
they did however leave all the offcuts of carpet. underlay.and grippers in the house and on the driveway which took me 45 minutes to clear up

Excellent wooden floor fitter (Trigger)…
Excellent wooden floor fitter (Trigger) and very obliging in the home, polite and helpful. Sales team polite, however, even though exact measurements and drawings given they oversold by 9 packs of flooring and underlay totalling £200 wastage. Refund on return of packs would have been appreciated.
Would use fitter again.

I was not impressed by the fitters when…
I was not impressed by the fitters when he said that a bulge near the back door was because of the uneven floor. The flooring was floating vinyl. I believe that the Final Cut was wrong and they cut too much off. Luckily I needed a mat at the door to wipe feet. So I got a very heavy one which has covered up the fault. Afterwards I had a think and thought I was obviously contributing to the advert costs for ITV. I may have been able to get a better job if I had gone elsewhere.

Bought a single bed (self build wooden frame )
And a rolled up single mattress
I was told I'd need to pay £30 delivery charge because the 2 items would not fit in my car (Astra estate ). So in my eye's they took me for £30 that I had no need to pay. I could have fit the 2 items in a bloody Mini car

Inferior quality!!!!
This company is only good for if you want to do it yourself, don't get their fitters, you'll have issues. We bought a decent lino, got it fitted before Christmas, they made a mess of fitting it in our kitchen, all their cuts were wrong. So we had them back, and they replaced it ( this was at the Wakefield branch). We noticed this was more of an inferior one than the first one fitted. Roll on a few months, it's starting to show how inferior it is. Wish i'd done it myself.
