From small beginnings The UPVC Company is now one of Scotland’s largest window & door installers. Over 20 years ago Jim McGill recognised that companies were charging highly inflated prices for UPVC windows and doors. With a loan from the Prince’s Trust he started to manufacture windows & doors from a small unit in Uddingston and offered Customers a top quality product at realistic prices. The business went from strength to strength and within 5 years moved to bigger premises to meet demand for their products. The UPVC Company now employs over 70 people and all doors & windows are made using some of the latest technology and production techniques in their bespoke factory in Wishaw. The materials used in manufacture are to British Standards or higher and all products are made to the latest safety and security standards and are fully guaranteed for TEN Years. All windows have gas filled energy efficient low E glass & warm-edge spacer to further reduce heat loss saving not only money but also reducing energy usage in the home. As well as windows, over 500 door styles are available and we also have a full range of French, Patio & Bi-fold Doors to give you easy access to your garden so you can take maximum advantage of the spring and summer weather. We cover the Central belt of Scotland and have supplied over 200,000 customers with new windows and/or doors. The company's sales and installation teams are highly trained in identifying the best product for each customers’ needs and making sure that the whole process runs smoothly from start to finish. “We never compromise on quality and part of the service is that customers are not asked to part with a penny until they are completely satisfied. Window and Door instalation
We needed a new front door and three windows in our house .
The guy turned up when he shold have that morning and fitted the door first .
We were really pleased with the work he had done,
The guy was just himself as well,
When he was finished the door he started on the windows he also done a cracking job onthem as well.
He got the lot done in the one day. (Happy days)

Ordered a rear door online, gave them measurements, received and email to say it could take 3/4 weeks. Arrived in 3 weeks, great company, no fuss,would definitely use them again, thanks.

New doors
Just had a new back door and French doors fitted by this company, on getting the quote I was told up to 3 weeks for installation and true to their word the work has been completed on time. I’m delighted with both products and also the workmanship from Jim and Colin who were polite, friendly and left everything tidy, would recommend UPVC company.

Very poor expedition this company
Very poor experience with this company! Ordered a large window 25th Jan 2025 and told order would be 4 weeks, after 4 weeks chased order and no response on several occasions, finally called them upsnd told that there were was down and it coild be weeks to fix. No one in company communicated until I chased and even then didn't seem bothered, I asked of they could get it made by doneone else but didn't want to know!

What a great experience. Door ordered and fitted in a few weeks. Process was seamless. Fitters on the day were very nice, polite and friendly. They did an excellent job of fitting our new front door. The door is really nice and certainly good value for money.

Bad company As We have sent a letter to you…
As We have sent a letter to you recorded delivery from trading standards about the door leaking and side panels not matching,
since we have had no reply from you on this matter , not even had the Decency to reply to us by letter or email
Bare in mind there was other people in the house, along with a ring door bell and cctv cameras, so I will not stand for being acused of shouting and swearing at the door, when this never happened.
We are now left with no option but to take this to court against you , we thought more of this company, will never use or recommend them ever again , we have also sent the story to local papers to publish so other are aware of the zero after service they provide you. Disgusting

UPVC Company were absolutely wonderful from start to finish. My husband and I needed our whole house fitted with two new front and back doors and 6 new windows. From our first communication with the team, it was very professional, and that continued throughout our whole customer experience with the company. We try our very best to provide a first class service from start to finish, not only that Louise we provide top quality windows and doors at realistic prices, only last week we fitted a full house of windows and 2 doors SAVING the customer £17000 yes £17000.We supplied and fitted the full job for £7000 so just a warning to anyone out there thinking of replacing your windows or doors, Shop around!!!!
And as you know we don’t ask for a deposit with nothing to pay until you are satisfied the the job.

Great offers on doors.
I had front and back fully fitted with upgraded locks and handles.
The team were quick to install and cleaned up all their mess.
There's also the option to remove the waste which I took to save time and hassle.
Payment was made a few days later they don't hound you on the doorstep but i wanted to pay promptly

Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company. Had a new door filters 3 weeks ago. I have MS and now struggle to get in and out because there is no low threshold on the door. I was never asked about any specifications they just came measured it and left. When they then fitted the door the fitter badly damaged my wall left my monoblock covered in silicone left alarm sensors and door bell hanging off. It was ridiculous. When I tried to raise the complaint I got nowhere. I was told I would get a call but nothing, I called and called, I emailed and nothing. Now I have been told they want another £200 to fix the door and they are not prepared to fix the damage. Absolutely shocking. My advice is to stay clear!
Happy to upload all the photos of the damage! I never agreed to anything. And I was told by Peter in December the door would be replaced to leave it with him, then In January told it wouldn’t. Your service and after service is a disgrace. After several complaint letters and attempts of resolution I have still had no response. More than happy to pay my bill when the issues have been resolved.

You never asked for a specific threshold and when I asked Stevie our top fitter who has been fitting doors for me for over 30 years said he done a great job in fitting your door. Peter our after sales manager told you that we were not replacing the full door as per your agreement, he then told you to get another company and we will take our door back this is now March and you still haven’t payed a penny for the £800 door.
Please can you get another company to replace your door and we can both move on!!
