From small beginnings The UPVC Company is now one of Scotland’s largest window & door installers. Over 20 years ago Jim McGill recognised that companies were charging highly inflated prices for UPVC windows and doors. With a loan from the Prince’s Trust he started to manufacture windows & doors from a small unit in Uddingston and offered Customers a top quality product at realistic prices. The business went from strength to strength and within 5 years moved to bigger premises to meet demand for their products. The UPVC Company now employs over 70 people and all doors & windows are made using some of the latest technology and production techniques in their bespoke factory in Wishaw. The materials used in manufacture are to British Standards or higher and all products are made to the latest safety and security standards and are fully guaranteed for TEN Years. All windows have gas filled energy efficient low E glass & warm-edge spacer to further reduce heat loss saving not only money but also reducing energy usage in the home. As well as windows, over 500 door styles are available and we also have a full range of French, Patio & Bi-fold Doors to give you easy access to your garden so you can take maximum advantage of the spring and summer weather. We cover the Central belt of Scotland and have supplied over 200,000 customers with new windows and/or doors. The company's sales and installation teams are highly trained in identifying the best product for each customers’ needs and making sure that the whole process runs smoothly from start to finish. “We never compromise on quality and part of the service is that customers are not asked to part with a penny until they are completely satisfied. I recently had the pleasure of dealing with UPVC Company and overall, I'm quite satisfied with their service. Although there were a few initial issues with the installation of my new door, the UPVC Company team handled my concerns professionally, replacing and reinstalling everything to a high standard within a couple of weeks. Communication was mostly quick and consistent, and any minor hiccups were swiftly addressed with apologies, highlighting their commitment to customer service. Their staff members were courteous, diligent, and respectful towards my property, leaving it spotless post-completion. While there was a delay in a previous order reported by someone else, my personal experience was smooth and efficient. I'm happy with the results and the fair pricing and look forward to having them work on my other windows next year. Based on my experience, I would recommend UPVC Company for their professionalism and excellent aftercare. Overall, a solid four stars from me.

My experience with the uPVC company was very good from start to finish. I contacted them looking for a new replacement door the member of staff was very helpfu.l gave him description of door I had seen on web site but couldn't find in brochure. He found which door it was straight away and gave me a quote. There was no hard sell which I found comfortable and price was very competitive. Arranged visit to suit me to do measuring. Delivery and installation was done in time frame quoted. The chap who fitted new door was polite kept work area clean and protected my property. A good advert for the company. Based on my experience I would certainly recommend this company to friends and family.

From 1995 as a joiner myself I decided to manufacture Upvc doors and before I knew it I had 25 fitting teams fitting 500 doors per week, manufacturing quality Upvc doors at very reasonable prices. Still going strong after all these years Douglas.

Faulty new door
I had a new door fitted but after a couple of days i noticed a few issues with the front panel/sash and installation (air gaps). Sent pics of the faults to the team and now two weeks later, everything has been replaced and reinstalled to a high standard. I'd like to thank, Peter/Iain and the repair fitter for a quick turnaround and their professionalism. Excellent aftercare.

Second time I've used this company & they've been great both times. Communication has been quick & consistent (one small hiccup but the guy who came round couldnt apologise enough)... no hard sales tactics from Robin either who came round to do the quote unlike the other two companies who quoted me.
As for the work itself, the guys did a great job. They just got on with it, even taking away the old window blind and leaving clean coffee cups! Hope to get them back next year to get the other windows done. Happy with the work and happy with the price. Would def recommend.

Colin our after sales engineer is a credit to the company there is nothing he can’t fix he has worked with the company for over 20 years sorting out any problems our customers have.Robin our sales man gives all our valued customer s the best possible price from the beginning not like other companies start off high then call their boss to get a further discount.Stephen and Jimmy ( the fitters) are very professional leaving a fist class job tidying your home and leaving it in perfect condition.As you know Anna we don’t ask for deposits or any money up front until you are 100% happy with the job and only then we ask for the money and provide you with your 15 year guarantee.

I have waited a month before giving a…
I have waited a month before giving a review just incase of any unforeseen hitches or issues. Well the workmen arrived spot on time and their first job was to put down dust sheets from the front door up the stairs and in the bedrooms where they would be working and walking. Once they were finished they cleaned up everything and nothing was left behind and most of all no mess, not even on my driveway, they treated my property with the utmost respect. The finish was just amazing, even the window sills were a bit shorter and there was a small gap where they filled this gap in to perfection, no residue left over apart from a smooth surface which could be painted after given the drying time. I can't really say enough about the UPVC Company, these guys are what you call professionals in every way possible. I'm still in awe about how well they have done my windows and French door the finishing touches. I would certainly recommend them and there prices are value for money, quality and great workmanship.

Great from start to finish. All staff friendly and courteous. I used them before around ten years ago and was more than happy to use them again. The salesman arrived when he said he would , told us he’d give us a straightforward price with no follow up calls offering extra discounts. (The others all did this despite being informed of serious family illness and subsequent bereavement) . Windows and doors fitted within promised timescales with great service. Very unhappy with the service from this company!
Our experience with UPVC Company has sadly been very poor. 2 months on from our date of order we have yet to receive anything. We called the company multiple times to be told they were being delivered, to then call again a few days later and they had not even been made yet. This week we have been told the items are being picked up by a courier but having just got off the phone to them there is no tracking number or confirmation they have been dispatched. We have ordered 7 windows in total and lined up tradesmen off the back of the original delivery dates so not only has this been a major inconvenience but we have also suffered financial ramifications. This experience has been very bad and full of lies from their customer service team, which is infuriating and unjust!
