After cancellation of the policy over 700 Pounds were taken out of my account - this is a bills account which I don't frequently check and it could have well escaped my attention - If I charged for the time I spent trying to find a contact number and then being on hold I'd possibly still make less than URIS makes in interest rates from the accumulated sums they actively instruct banks to transfer hold from customers accounts post cancellation. 11 days it took for the refund to arrive in my account. I was overdrawn - the interest is negligible the principle isnt - however I had to top up the account from savings - more time. It's laughable that you send a form to fill in to complain. You also sent me another letter (before the refund was issued) notifying me of a new DD instruction - you have to plough through the page to find that it amounts to 0.00 - totally unnecessary. I suggest you invest your time into supporting customers not scamming them. I have raised this with the Financial Ombudsman and will write to the Union who I understand you are / or your predecessor was linked to and will look further into how to alert authorities to your way of working. Dare I wonder how you would deal with a claim?
