I have just ordered my new kitchen cabinets, appliances and worktops etc from Wickes in Braintree. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Roger Waldren, who helped me thoroughly from start to finish. Roger was absolutely brilliant, so knowledgeable and attentive. Roger turned a bit of a daunting experience into a fun one! Five star service, would highly recommend.

Easy to park in, plenty of trolleys.
What I need is normally in stock, I use the app as a Trade member.

Shower has leaked in 3 different places and the corner bracket was not installed. Although that doesn't really matter because the fitter told us that we could not have a walk in shower, when in fact we could. The fitter is NOT the design consultant its not up to him to change the design to suit himself.
The toilet cistern is not secured and the water supply to the cistern is not secure. Its not fitted correctly and bad practice.
The boxing in was half completed in normal MDF which is not suitable in wet environments. Cement board should be used as per contract.
The electrics were fitted by the fitter and he has not sent a electrical certificate. Its now been over 30 days.Ths is a breach of regulations and the contract. Wickes to advise which electrical body is he registered with??
A completion certificate was never seen or signed by me. Wickes knew this but still accepted it from the fitter. I still have not received a copy as requested. Its fraud, dishonest and a criminal offence. I know it exists so would like a copy, as is my legal right.
The installation department don't really want to know and have no interest in sorting the defects. They ask for pictures then say they haven't received them so will close the case and charge.
Management won't call back.
Wickes will reply to this and claim to be looking into it, but nothing will happen.
Advise Buy your products from Wickes but do not have them installed. Dont take my word for it. Check the Which magazine site Wickes are at the bottom.

Had an en-suite fitted last month. Cannot fault the design team and staff in store. However, the approved installer seems to be a cowboy! Design was a walk in shower but installer said not possible to do so built it on what looks like a pallet and left it like that. Numerous leaks from the shower which husband has to fix. Still leaking. He didn’t use the invisible corner bracket in shower panels which were supplied to be used (we found in skip). Flexi connector from toilet wobbly, cistern not attached to wall, toilet not straight, plastering looks like rolling hills! (the list goes on)
To top it all we never received the completion certificate to state faults, instead installer signed, sent in and Wickes have accepted this! Surely that’s fraud! Customer services are not interested. The guy we have been given keeps denying seeing any emails or evidence sent to him yet local branch have received it. The shower needs ripping out and doing properly , as per plan we signed for!
We are not happy at all!

I spent over £35,000 on a Wickes kitchen, installed in March 2024. Within the 2-year Workmanship Guarantee period, I reported multiple installation defects: malfunctioning drawer mechanisms, loose kickboards, an unsecured dishwasher, and failing oven door seals.
Wickes requested photographs, which I provided. They then rejected every element of my claim without ever sending anyone to inspect the property. Their reasons included a "3-month snagging window" that does not appear anywhere in their own guarantee terms, and deflecting responsibility to appliance manufacturers despite the issues being installation faults.
On 26 March 2026 they issued their "final position" refusing all remedial work. I have now escalated to the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman, submitted a Section 75 claim to the finance provider, and reported the matter to Trading Standards.
Wickes were excellent at the point of sale. The aftercare and warranty service has been the complete opposite. If you are considering a Wickes kitchen, be aware that getting defects resolved under their guarantee may prove extremely difficult.

Spent time going through our requirements to update our kitchen in store. Rang three or four times to ask for house visit to firm up quote also emailed. Received no call back so going somewhere else. Bad customer service at braintree branch.

We set up a click and collect. We parked at the appropriate spot and confirmed we were there confirming the details. We waited and waited until we received a message at about 11.45AM that they couldn't bring it out and we needed to go into the store. We explained it to the dark haired woman on the till who asked a man man called Mark if he was busy. Mark said he was but then couldn't explain what he was doing. The woman on the till didn't apologize to our complaint we'd been waiting but advised one of her colleagues was to blame. Mark had found the package by now and rather than ask for the pin shouted our surname across the store. He then wheeled it out the side door put it handle first halfway through the outside door and walked off. My husband was forced to crame himself through the remaining gap in the door to try to catch the trolley before it cateered into a van outside. Thus Wicks was able to display today a perfect example of a total lack of customer service.

Wickes of Braintree are of total and utter incompetence! My friend used my car to pick some items up but they were the incorrect items. She then raised a complaint and requested to speak to the manager but they were apparently ''all in a meeting and couldn't be reached'' which delayed her. Then to top it all off I get a parking fine from their car parking enforcement cowboys as apparently the car was parked there too long thanks to the stores incompetence. She currently has an ongoing complaint but this review is in relation to the fact that the store kept her waiting and their parking enforcement cowboys sent me a parking fine!!! Thanks a lot guys...

5* plus service from Wickes! After several visits to the Braintree Wickes Kitchen showroom we booked a visit for a planner to measure. I had a very long wish list and I have to say Roger who planned the kitchen took my ideas and added some brilliant ones that I hadn’t even thought of, he is very creative and was extremely patient with my thousand and one questions. The Result is, some weeks later I have my dream kitchen and I am loving it. It looks fantastic and everything has been designed in such a way that it makes my life easier. I would also like to thank Alexa and Luca who were also involved at times and so helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Wickes kitchens, their planning service through to delivery and customer service all score 10/10.

We had already spoken to two other Kitchen Companies before calling into Wickes, Braintree, and meeting Roger Waldren, Design Consultant. We arranged a home visit to start the process of designing our dream kitchen.
Having spent time with us at home, Roger then produced the initial design. We sat down with him three/four times after that to change the layout, agree on the colour of units, matt or gloss finish and sourcing the right white goods.
Throughout the whole process, Roger was professional, friendly and a font of knowledge.
He cooks so was able to share the pros and cons of various appliances.
He has installed kitchens so was able to share his experiences with us when finalising all the details. Nothing was too much trouble.
We must mention Alexa, Showroom Manager and Lucas who were both very helpful when Roger was otherwise engaged.
We used our own contractors to install the kitchen which was part of a larger project but when an issue arose, Roger was there with help and advice.
We really cannot thank Roger enough for helping us from inception to completion of our dream kitchen. He is a super design consultant who should be valued by Wickes. What a lovely guy.
We would and have recommended him to family and friends.

I was dealt with by Luca Perotti (Braintree Branch) who came out and measured and then designed the kitchen. I then went through the design and went back after several weeks and amended the design to suit my needs. Luca spent a considerable amount of time of getting and adjusting to get what I was looking for. There was no pressure to buy or to go with his design he was relaxed and laid back and put the customer first rather than commission. He then arranged for the kitchen to be stored for 5 months until I needed it at no extra cost (there will store for 6 months). The key is to look at the design and alter to suit your needs rather than take what a designer has done and Luca was more than happy to adapt and help as he is there to hopefully give what you are looking for. I would highly recommend using Luca for any future designs.
